[00:00:58] Good include rolling rock. No. No amber. The keg of amber Bach was too expensive, right?
[00:01:04] Couldn't get killians. We had to go ahead rolling rock. Yeah, remember red dog red dog. I was just thinking about that
[00:01:10] Yeah, my fucking mind. Yeah red dog. Jesus. Well, I was able to find that as recently as ten years ago
[00:01:16] Where somewhere in North County, of course?
[00:01:19] Alright that tracks
[00:01:22] Pretty sure like somewhere in blackjack. Yeah house out there. I just remember being somewhere and seeing like red dog
[00:01:28] Mm-hmm the shit my dad used to drink watching fishing shows in the morning like alright, I'll give this shot
[00:01:34] I feel that way about Mickey's man. No Mickey's is like
[00:01:39] Mickey's is what?
[00:01:41] Not a friend of yours
[00:01:42] But a friend of a friend that shows up to the party house when you're like 20 like the one friend that got to
[00:01:48] Move out early cuz he got like a job that didn't suck
[00:01:50] Okay, you know, so everyone just hangs out his place would be no tris. Yeah, I'm talking about
[00:01:54] Yeah, it was like one of his friends
[00:01:58] That would like show up from like his like shitty like wait wait your job
[00:02:02] Yeah some service industry drop showing up and like, you know those fucking like starched out fucking black dress pants
[00:02:10] Like the shitty fucking black button-up shirt. That's what he would always that's what that guy would show up
[00:02:15] That's a Mickey's Mickey's is like that guy ever getting better than this
[00:02:20] This is him peeking at 20 that that hairline is not gonna last brother
[00:02:25] Yeah, drink them hand grenades while you can yeah
[00:02:28] But honestly can't say I've drank to me Mickey's in my life. I've had too many
[00:02:34] That's 40 minutes dogs barking. My name is Jason. This is Brian. We're talking about alcoholism
[00:02:40] What is it like to have alcoholism right?
[00:02:45] When you have alcoholism you can mow the lawn whenever you want
[00:02:50] Well, I gotta have a beer before I mow the lawn
[00:02:54] Well, I'm done mowing the lawn right better have a beer before I start the edging that's right
[00:02:59] Ah, well, I'm done with that, you know those gutters. I don't check those gutters in a while
[00:03:04] You know, you're just describing my Saturday, you know
[00:03:10] Pick up the kids and they can walk
[00:03:13] I'll be there in a minute. Happy birthday to my girlfriend. Yes
[00:03:17] Day
[00:03:19] Neglected to say that for the last two episodes. I'm saying it now
[00:03:22] Well, we we didn't record on her birthday and then by the time we recorded last it was a week after so yeah
[00:03:29] I mean, it's two weeks. That was a week. So we recorded a week after okay. Okay, it's all getting foggy
[00:03:35] It's only cuz it's this is gonna come out. I'm unemployed and I'm living that life of
[00:03:40] Well, I can just mow the lawn whenever
[00:03:43] You you your housing situation, I understand it's recently just changed got keys to a new place congratulations brother
[00:03:49] Thank you. Thank you. I didn't even come with a fridge
[00:03:52] That's okay. I bought a dryer today cuz my dryer is dead after 12 years
[00:03:58] I mean 12 years is pretty good for a dryer. Yeah, no, I'm
[00:04:01] Was an LG?
[00:04:02] Whirlpool maybe?
[00:04:03] Whirlpool does good
[00:04:04] I don't remember
[00:04:05] I've just had like a lot of friends do really good with LGs for some reason
[00:04:09] And that's what I got so here's hoping
[00:04:11] Did you get the matching set?
[00:04:12] Did not get the matching set cuz I have this washer that I got at a fucking steel
[00:04:16] It's a Bosch and that thing's indestructible. Oh, yeah things gonna fucking outlive you. Yeah. Yeah, I mean so far so good
[00:04:22] Yeah, you know
[00:04:24] Yeah, we got a new living situation
[00:04:27] Got the keys today and took a look around saw the dead flies in the corner
[00:04:33] I'm like, oh cool. We got some spires in these spray for sick classic apartment stuff. Yeah
[00:04:37] Small house, you know
[00:04:39] Like just you know, I'm trading up the the bougie
[00:04:44] Lifestyle of South st. Louis and I'm moving now to what is probably the closest analog to like Youngstown, Ohio
[00:04:51] the metropolitan area
[00:04:53] So I'm gonna start not wearing a helmet on my motorcycle
[00:04:57] And I am gonna I'm letting my girlfriend know now that I will probably start forgetting your your your birthday
[00:05:03] And what invited that's Valentine's Day. So I hope you like chocolate covered strawberries from schnucks
[00:05:09] Fair enough real blue collar ass guy
[00:05:13] Give it her a bowling ball as a Christmas present. Yeah classic fucking project car in the backyard
[00:05:20] The iRoc Z on cinder blocks
[00:05:22] I know I know the guy. Yeah, I know I was I was I was thinking more like
[00:05:28] Like a eagle talon, okay
[00:05:30] Like you never gonna find parts for that. No, I even know
[00:05:34] Yeah, what are you having with a 3000 gt brother?
[00:05:36] You had better luck with an mg for god's sake. I mean fuck's sake
[00:05:40] My uncle bill had an mg for the longest time still does actually. It's cool parks that shit in Plano, Texas now. Yeah
[00:05:48] He worked on it for 10 years
[00:05:50] I worked his really shitty warehouse job during ferguson which was a real fucking hoot
[00:05:56] Ferguson which was a real fucking hoot. Mm-hmm. Um, and it was old
[00:06:01] It was new old stock car parts that were mostly being um sent out to be recycled
[00:06:06] Okay, and it was a fucking gnarly job. I'm sure i've talked about a few times. This is a job where uh,
[00:06:11] there was these two like
[00:06:12] ladies from jefferson county and they had like big gulp cups that were definitely like at least 50% airport bottles of
[00:06:20] wild turkey
[00:06:21] The 99 bananas, yeah
[00:06:23] I think I mentioned this like I remember one time that they pulled off the parking lot and one of the other guys
[00:06:27] I worked with going like you see all those fucking airport bottles on the fucking ground. God damn
[00:06:32] They let that lay off forklift. Fuck me
[00:06:35] They would just be absolutely fucking lost in the sauce
[00:06:37] The guy who managed this whole fucking operation which was fucking sketchy like his son also worked there his son
[00:06:44] Had a friend that worked there too and they would all they would do in downtime is look at photos or look at videos
[00:06:49] Of dab rigs on instagram
[00:06:51] while hitting dabs
[00:06:54] I'm just like man. What a nice simple life. What a nice we could have it so much better, man
[00:07:01] That's the only thing I think of it that's like me watching a guy put together a really high-end computer like oh man
[00:07:06] I could be doing so much better right now. Oh shit. Yeah
[00:07:09] But I remember one time I had this box these boxes were like gross and you know
[00:07:12] It was all the stuff like grease packed and all that
[00:07:14] Oh, yeah, and I had something like fly out of a box one time and the paperwork kind of like just
[00:07:20] Right on hit hit the ground and I was like could read it
[00:07:23] And it was a like front right strut for like a 92 azuzu ninja. Oh shit
[00:07:29] And i'm just thinking like this is absolutely worthless
[00:07:34] Except to like the five people in the world and you will never find them
[00:07:37] There's some guy out there that would pay like 300 bucks for that. Oh easy
[00:07:40] Yeah, but you're never gonna fucking find that guy because he's got priors and it's not allowed on the internet anymore. Well, yeah
[00:07:46] Yeah, um my I I know somebody whose project car was an azuzu tracker. So I made that that follow. Oh, yeah
[00:07:53] Yeah, my aunt had a uh a tracker. The trackers are dope geotracker
[00:07:57] Yeah, man fucking my aunt had that for a while and then she upgraded to like well
[00:08:01] She worked for a dealership. So she had dealership cars for a while and then
[00:08:05] she bought a
[00:08:06] Pontiac grand prix or grand am which is if you listen to street fight radio
[00:08:13] A story to shit car. Yes, I had one I had a grand
[00:08:18] I had a two-door black grand am and I totaled that motherfucker, uh
[00:08:22] Driving in the snow just obliterated that car. You really want to hear like so, you know they say
[00:08:28] Like, you know, there's the stereotype of the ultima being like the single hard-working mom
[00:08:33] Yeah, the kids the fucking uh, daycare before working their office job or something like the hard mom trying to make it work car
[00:08:40] I say the grand prix is the car for like
[00:08:44] The guy that is just trying to get the payday so we can buy some scratchers
[00:08:49] At the time that was me when I was driving the grand am so
[00:08:54] I was working at the casino three days a week for nothing. Like it was man. That was hard times brother
[00:09:00] It was hard times
[00:09:02] Dusty road style hard times. Well speaking of hard times going through something right now
[00:09:07] Brian, yeah, man. It's uh some sad news folks
[00:09:11] Probably the single biggest hater on the planet steve albine bit the dust
[00:09:17] Yeah, a heart attack. Yeah 61
[00:09:19] I know this is gonna be a little inside baseball for some of you guys because like record producers but like
[00:09:25] He was more of an engineer than a producer. You know what I mean?
[00:09:27] Like he would just get the right people together and hit record
[00:09:30] You know, he's one of those guys who says this huge influence, but he still drove a fucking geotracker
[00:09:36] You know a fucking beer. Yeah, someone's share the story about
[00:09:40] How like he like drove a car that every sometime he had to turn on he had to pop the fucking hood
[00:09:45] And fill with some shit
[00:09:47] That was just what he did
[00:09:49] You know like he could have made x amount of dollars off that nirvana record
[00:09:52] But he chose not to yeah, he famously did not charge points. He would just charge like a lump sum
[00:09:58] And then say later hey if you want to throw a little more money my way
[00:10:02] I wouldn't be averse to it, but don't feel obligated like that's in that letter that he wrote to kurt covain
[00:10:07] It's literally what he says. He goes. Yeah, you know
[00:10:09] I'll come up with an agreed upon amount and then if if later you you feel good about the record
[00:10:15] You feel free to send me more but here this is what we're yeah
[00:10:18] Yeah, um, and I knew people
[00:10:20] Here
[00:10:21] That were like well I could like go record at some studio here that has a bad reputation
[00:10:26] It's run by an asshole right or I can spend like 50 bucks more an hour
[00:10:31] And go record with steve albini in chicago and a lot of people are like, you know what? Yeah
[00:10:38] instead of going to like
[00:10:40] There's really no good studio here in st. Louis
[00:10:42] I was gonna say there's like a handful like small places that are run by
[00:10:47] You know jobbers, but not like the big name. None of the big names are worth worth of shit
[00:10:51] I mean smith lee was probably the most professional and now that's not even smith lee anymore
[00:10:56] But anyways lots of people that I mean even 10 years ago like humdrum
[00:11:00] I know record a record with him and they had nothing but nice things to say about the experience
[00:11:04] I knew some other people that they just went up to chicago for a weekend like track drums
[00:11:09] Yeah, and you know, they spent a little bit of time with him and again just had like this really
[00:11:14] like amazing kind of almost one-on-one experience with him and like his his staff and
[00:11:19] I've seen a few people say something to the fact that like the last honest guy in the music industry has died
[00:11:25] Oh, yeah, here's a quote from him
[00:11:29] This uh from the ringer.com
[00:11:31] It was 1991 and albini was by choice writing this
[00:11:34] For the magazine forced exposure within a column
[00:11:37] Detailing his thoughts on various albums he'd worked on as albini explained before his pinched loaf diatribe potential future slander was literally part
[00:11:45] Of the deal with him quote when I am hired to record a band
[00:11:49] I make it plain to my clients. I do not wish to be associated with their charming little records
[00:11:54] I will do a good job for them, but that does not include shouldering any responsibility
[00:11:59] For their lousy tastes and mistakes
[00:12:03] Yeah
[00:12:03] And he even I mean probably one of the albums that I always think about when I think about the way he produced
[00:12:08] Stuff was surfer rosa and he's notoriously
[00:12:11] Talked shit on that album
[00:12:13] And yet everyone thinks it's it's it's a classic
[00:12:16] A very inspiring musician in all of his different projects
[00:12:21] Big black was my first introduction really to him. Oh, yeah songs about fucking
[00:12:27] Fucking kerosene. Oh
[00:12:29] He was also kind of like this pro edgelord, you know, because he had a project after big black called rape man
[00:12:36] Yeah
[00:12:37] There's some stuff that's really rough
[00:12:39] oh, yeah, but I think at the time it was to be kind of provocative and edgy
[00:12:44] And as he got older he really like distanced himself from that stuff and kind of shown that he uh,
[00:12:50] Was not that person anymore. Yeah, I mean even some of his shellac records were kind of like on the border
[00:12:57] You know what I mean? Yeah, uh, yeah, there's some some some shellac stuff. It's fucking intense
[00:13:03] A really unique guy. I'm bummed I never got to see him live the one chance I got to see him live
[00:13:07] He was playing at a venue that I was banned from because I was too much
[00:13:11] I was too much of a big mouthed asshole that always had to be right
[00:13:15] Which I think he would have approved. Yeah, I was gonna say yeah
[00:13:17] They've all the things because uh, no one remembers that
[00:13:21] I think i'm the only person still talks about this venue despite the fact that 10 years ago was probably the most
[00:13:26] Important venue in the midwest right it shows you how weird the music industry can move
[00:13:31] Yeah when it comes to live music no one who was involved with that show
[00:13:35] I think is really even in the music live music business anymore. No electric studios
[00:13:40] Is that what was called in chicago's operation i think it was electric audio as well as called maybe yeah electrical audio
[00:13:45] There it is his studio in chicago
[00:13:47] The last big record of note that he produced was a tysagal album. It was a self-titled one from 2017
[00:13:54] And yeah for his services, albeit he received a flat fee like a plumber
[00:13:58] To promote that album there was some plumbing involved as it happens this from the bringer piece
[00:14:02] I love it in a video posted by drag city
[00:14:04] Which was ty sigal's label albini clad in a navy jumpsuit like a custodian pushes a toilet off a ledge on what appears to
[00:14:10] Be the loading area of his studio
[00:14:13] The toilet shatters and then sigal jumps in with an axe smashing the rest to bits
[00:14:19] Albini having engineered this scene for sigal to seize upon gazes on the ruins and flashes a thumbs up another job
[00:14:25] Well done great job nate rogers for that. That was really
[00:14:29] Pretty much if you if you could pick a story, that's that one. Yeah
[00:14:36] I don't know we mentioned this is the piece for the ringer. Everyone's been writing some really nice eulogies for him
[00:14:41] Um, which is good to see
[00:14:43] I don't feel like enough people in the industry when they pass
[00:14:46] No, yeah are getting any of these these glowing hagiographies that you really hope to see
[00:14:51] And he was also an incredibly gifted poster. Oh god. Yeah a top tier shit poster
[00:14:57] His twitter account was always cracked me up
[00:15:00] His bio even a recording engineer who plays billiards and poker and eats like a viking
[00:15:04] I reflexively block blue check accounts and promoted tweets good for you when d trans was trending
[00:15:12] He says fuck this I come here to read jokes and capitalism and shit on steely dan
[00:15:17] Not be a captive audience for fuckhead bigot university. I am about through find me on bluey blue sky
[00:15:24] Yeah, uh, but yeah, that was when d trans was trending because it was paid for by
[00:15:30] Prager you I just saw penis prager
[00:15:34] I use those so many I owe a debt of gratitude to tall bart for show bar. Yes, uh amazing
[00:15:42] Amazing word salad two days ago his last post from the beginning the danger hasn't been trump
[00:15:47] He's constitutionally lazy ignorant unambitious
[00:15:51] And just generally not good at things
[00:15:53] The danger is from people supposedly in opposition doing fuck all to stop the rest of his coterie
[00:15:59] Categorically more evil ambitious and skilled than him if that's got to be your uh, your last post
[00:16:05] I'm good with it. Yeah. No, he he was always very eloquent had a good sharp tongue about things
[00:16:11] People were sharing. Uh jane lewis
[00:16:14] Shared uh, uh, she accidentally, uh texted him and seven a different steve a
[00:16:20] And then just like recommended him a um a steakhouse
[00:16:25] Did he go and it was just kind of just like this funny little exchange and just kind of showed that
[00:16:30] This guy had a very uh warm heart
[00:16:34] Despite his his shit talking and his abrasions. You know, he recorded that jawbreaker record
[00:16:40] Apparently in a jawbreaker documentary he goes on to talk about how he thought they were it was jawbox
[00:16:50] That was 24 hour revenge therapy my favorite jawbreaker record
[00:16:53] It's funny. Yeah, and and the guys from jawbreaker like um
[00:16:57] Talk about how he kind of took the piss out of them, but how they end up still making like a really great record
[00:17:02] which kind of
[00:17:04] Shows what he was able to get out of people again two days ago the rolling stone lips, but it's a butthole
[00:17:11] Do they still sue people? I have an idea
[00:17:15] I think we need to make that happen just for steve. Uh, yeah and fellow from the dicks passed away last week
[00:17:21] So he says some some things about him
[00:17:23] Um, that's a band. I never got into too much, but uh, you should go listen to oh, yeah
[00:17:28] Lots of great history there. Uh for a wheelchair epidemic. I think is the one that I liked the other day
[00:17:33] Wheelchair epidemic was great dick shit on me
[00:17:37] That's the other one. This is another one that he posted
[00:17:39] But yeah, those were the ones I saw him posting and it was like yeah, this is okay
[00:17:43] Yeah, I need this shit. But yeah, it's just a bummer. We lost a powerful poster and a guy that um
[00:17:50] Really changed music. He was like the the opposite of rick rubin
[00:17:55] Yeah kind because rick rubin is like a like apparently like some like crypto fascists or like some which is unfortunately
[00:18:02] Uh hand in hand with a lot of like the new age shit that he's into I was gonna say yeah
[00:18:06] Kind of that kind of tracks, you know
[00:18:08] So shifting gears rick rubin hip-hop producer kendrick and drake doing their thing
[00:18:14] Not a lot to say on that front there. We were at a show
[00:18:17] We were seeing slow dive when a couple of those
[00:18:20] It's really fun
[00:18:21] it's really funny to think that we were talking about the kendrick
[00:18:24] And drake beef as slow dive show with burt
[00:18:28] Yeah, also a guy the guy sitting next to you is watching the hockey game on his phone
[00:18:33] And i'm like this fucking rules the weirdest thing. Yeah, this is awesome
[00:18:37] Like isn't live music great. That was really my thought like this is great. This is a great moment
[00:18:42] We're talking about all those weird shit. We're watching hockey on this guy and he's just like yeah take a look
[00:18:46] Yeah, he wasn't he wasn't like one of those dudes like don't look at my phone
[00:18:49] You didn't pay for this. He's just like no, yeah check it out. We're winning and as it happened somebody slid into the goal
[00:18:55] slammed into the goal
[00:18:57] Looked like a really painful time took them out
[00:19:01] But yeah, so the the kendrick and drake beef if you want to know
[00:19:06] Let's just say this i've been team kendrick since day one. No questions asked
[00:19:10] Are we are we trying to be really delicate about this because we're two white guys on the podcast?
[00:19:14] Okay, no
[00:19:15] I've been listening to hip-hop since the 80s and I listen to all the corny shit and all the good shit in
[00:19:20] The 90s and you know kind of backpack. I've listened to all the different shit and we've talked shit on drake before and we probably
[00:19:26] Will do it again. The memes have been fantastic. Here's one of my favorites. It's uh, lull overruled
[00:19:33] Hey, my name is drake and i'd like to say kendrick hurt my feelings in a major way
[00:19:37] I always love bringing back that rhyme
[00:19:41] The uh, the other one which was actually from the 13th of april
[00:19:45] At jozu joestar once kendrick said he had 10 but he likes his girls 11. That's a strange ting
[00:19:52] Over a 1920s jazz sample. It's over. He got pretty close got pretty close
[00:19:56] They not like us. I think it's the one that i'd like the most
[00:20:00] Well, I think that's alchemist on the beat there and it's just a really dj mustard
[00:20:04] Is that dj mustard mustard on that beat? Hope? Yeah meet the grams. Okay, he did beat the grams
[00:20:08] All right. Shout out to dj mustard then because that beats really great. It is and it's almost got like
[00:20:14] What would crack me up about they don't like us is that
[00:20:18] It's a really great beat but he's almost kind of rapping more like snoop
[00:20:21] Like yeah kind of punctuating a little bit more
[00:20:24] Yeah, well and I think that's a little bit to show his Compton roots and like sure
[00:20:28] And my girlfriend has had more time invested in this and like yesterday
[00:20:32] We were doing some errands and stuff and she's just just playing this all over. She's like
[00:20:37] Fucking listen to this shit forever. You know a minor
[00:20:40] You know, yeah so many great little things
[00:20:42] But what really kind of killed me was I was listening to to that track
[00:20:47] And I was like, oh this is this reminds me of branda miclio's freestyle from cky
[00:20:54] which um
[00:20:55] Have you ever heard this?
[00:20:58] No
[00:21:00] Hold on. It's so good though
[00:21:03] Who'd like my chopstick hit you in the shit with my little lipstick yellow if you want to see me eat yellow
[00:21:09] I never seen nothing like you before I can kick you higher than you can kick me
[00:21:14] I can kick you way up into our tree who wants to take the mic
[00:21:18] I
[00:21:21] Can kick you higher than you can kick me? Yeah, I kick you way up to tree and like watch this
[00:21:26] I could tip toe why a little kid piss. Oh
[00:21:29] Spying on you while you take a shit. Yeah
[00:21:33] I have heard that yeah. Yeah, no, this is
[00:21:36] Well, one of the greatest moments I think probably being like 15 was my friend having
[00:21:41] A bootleg of that that he got from a friend
[00:21:44] Or like watching it before you actually went out to go skate like some saturday morning
[00:21:48] I get to watch this like a tip toe. Why do you take a like I get that stuck in my head
[00:21:51] Just all there's so much to that the way that punctuation. I mean, yes, it's problematic. But yeah. Yeah
[00:21:56] Um, but I don't know we know that we don't
[00:22:00] You know what like you know, louis ck still had some good jokes
[00:22:03] Yeah, exactly man not like us has some fucking lines in it brother. Uh certified love a boy certified pedophile
[00:22:10] Like
[00:22:11] It's just and and it sounds like and joe budden said this somewhere else and that's where I kind of got this idea
[00:22:16] He's like, you know what?
[00:22:18] You better be glad that it's not like marching band season for the fucking historically black college
[00:22:23] Because they're gonna be
[00:22:28] We're gonna be fucking doing that
[00:22:30] Yeah, I mean well people are already playing in the fucking club
[00:22:33] I know saw some videos of that and it's probably the biggest diss track for the club since hit them up
[00:22:38] Yeah, and i've seen some remixes that add hit them up on the not like us beat i'm like, yeah
[00:22:43] Yeah, it's it's just it's interesting that like kindred did like what three songs in one day and like drink comes back with like
[00:22:49] Some really fucking weak sauce which is kind of like oh not just any weak sauce
[00:22:52] But like i'm too famous to be a pedophile
[00:22:56] Oh my my duch I mean like
[00:22:58] Fuck days aren't necessarily a pedophile but like yeah
[00:23:01] But like you can be a big ass celebrity and still be a absolute dirt bag piece of shit
[00:23:08] I mean look at mel gibson look at puff daddy look at you name it
[00:23:12] Donald trump, right?
[00:23:13] That guy was fucking president
[00:23:14] Yeah, you you can be famous and be a piece of shit. But all while this is happening
[00:23:19] A surprise dark horse came up from behind
[00:23:22] macklemore for some fucking reason
[00:23:25] He spent the last five months reading up on israel palestine and dropped a track called hinds hall
[00:23:31] Have you heard this? I haven't heard all of it. I've only seen a little clips, but it's only two minutes long
[00:23:35] Blocked the barricade until palestine is free block the barricade until palestine is free when I was seven
[00:23:41] I learned a lesson from cuban easy. What was it again? Oh, yeah, fuck the police
[00:23:46] Actors are bad just protecting. That's uh, that's pretty good. Yeah, um pretty
[00:23:51] Cognizant and very concise. Yeah
[00:23:54] He distills a lot of uh complicated shit down in two minutes
[00:23:58] Yeah, it's it's kind of interesting that macklemore releases track and not someone like soul
[00:24:04] Yeah, or mortal technique or sage frances. What are these guys that you kind of expect to drop this?
[00:24:09] Yeah, because like soul on uh live from rome, which is like kind of like his iraq war record, which is
[00:24:15] Fucking amazing. I thought I thought I had gotten
[00:24:18] Like I listened gave that record a listen during like the middle of the trump years and thought like it kind of
[00:24:24] Kind of hadn't aged well
[00:24:25] And then I gave a listen to it like early october when all this shit started i'm like, oh no
[00:24:30] yeah, we're really back here aren't we like
[00:24:32] Uh life for moments very much. I uh gel
[00:24:36] Also, um his uh soft money record is also very anti iraq war
[00:24:41] Surprisingly strong lyricism from him on there for a guy who isn't known for his rapping more of his beats in his production
[00:24:48] But yeah soul did a whole entire record about occupy like his experience with that and being further radicalized by uh
[00:24:54] By participating that in denver. There's one song where he he says, uh
[00:25:00] Victims of genocide recreate apartheid
[00:25:04] Love thy neighbor go back to poland
[00:25:06] but he's like talking about israel, you know, and
[00:25:09] I remember hearing that probably when I was like 19 or 20 and being like
[00:25:13] Huh? Yeah, that is what's going on over there
[00:25:15] Like it all took was all it took was one verse to make me go like, oh, yeah, that is fucked
[00:25:19] Yeah, this guy like changed my whole worldview on a lot of shit my moment like that was uh, joe saco
[00:25:25] comic book artist turned journalist
[00:25:28] Put out a book called palestine. Yeah, and I read that in like 2002
[00:25:33] Sometimes piece of art's gonna what it gotta be what it takes and hopefully for some people it's gonna be at least if not
[00:25:38] That something else. Yeah, but uh, yeah, it's uh, it's interesting
[00:25:42] But tim soul, I think he's really just chilling like raising his kids and all that
[00:25:47] Oh, yeah, and like he's got he does have a new record called vault one three one two
[00:25:51] Which is a great name nice, uh for a record
[00:25:54] It's got some older stuff some some stuff that was shelved some stuff
[00:25:58] Him and dj pain one have been working on over the last year or two and it's worth a listen
[00:26:03] But yeah, even even like during ferguson soul and dj pain one had a song called ftr fire the police that was
[00:26:10] Nice fucking killer. So I mean that's out there but it was so surprising to see it come from macklemore
[00:26:16] Yeah, it definitely I I think I responded to it like well, I don't hate it
[00:26:21] Yeah
[00:26:23] Fertile ground fertile ground and that's not even touching a metro boom and releasing a free beat bbl drizzy that bbl
[00:26:31] Drizzy, yeah
[00:26:32] My girlfriend came up with a good point yesterday
[00:26:34] Which is like the only way drake could even try to strike back right now
[00:26:38] Is if he did a dis
[00:26:41] Over the bbl drizzly
[00:26:43] Be
[00:26:45] Yeah, I think I think she's right. I think that's his it's almost his only angle left because everything else is so
[00:26:50] My girlfriend said and other people have said online, you know like drake like well
[00:26:53] You're short and like you like hit your wife or some shit like that and kid responds like you're pedophile. I wish you were dead
[00:27:00] He's talking like on family matters, especially he's like, yeah. Hey
[00:27:04] Drake's mom your son should die actually
[00:27:09] Fucking rules
[00:27:10] That's fucking awesome son
[00:27:13] In the midst of all that also we found out that one of my favorite twitter guys
[00:27:17] Got himself suspended. Okay, but still
[00:27:20] Hey from i'm doing the norm mcdonald thing rob. He calls himself this guy guy rob
[00:27:25] On the internet
[00:27:27] Well, there's I mean some real classic posts here at somebody's nephew compiling a bunch of them
[00:27:32] Here's here's one r slash sucking dick in a dream. Hey been following this sub for a long time
[00:27:37] I hoped I would never have to post in here
[00:27:40] but
[00:27:42] Here's another one in target self-checkout with diane feinstein. Yeah, you want all these packs of hockey cards you love them
[00:27:49] Now hit the debit button good. Yeah now hit cash back
[00:27:58] Joining companies virtual holiday party on zoom going through cancer guy. Hey rob looks like it's just us
[00:28:07] Here's a guy killing himself with beer drugs and food. I've cut way back on my screen time thumbs up emoji
[00:28:14] Amazing
[00:28:15] Is he is he the one that like hey, I haven't seen you since like high school. How you doing?
[00:28:19] Hey, I've got this loaf of bread. I was thinking we could fuck it the onion. It was
[00:28:25] And I think that's drill I think that's real
[00:28:28] But uh, here's trump 2023 town hall. I have the puzzle box right here. It's very easy to open. Okay
[00:28:34] Jake tapper voiceover just a quick fact check. Of course. The box is called the lament configuration
[00:28:39] It's notoriously difficult to open and oh looks like he got it. Here come the cenobites
[00:28:45] Oh, yeah, go ahead using jay mind trick on doctor
[00:28:49] I am not pre-diabetic
[00:28:52] So
[00:28:54] So, okay, but still has a great
[00:28:57] Just a poster spirit
[00:28:59] They are back under okay underscore, but underscore still but he told me sir black philip is outside
[00:29:07] I said black philip. They said the horrible girl from the movie sir
[00:29:10] He wants to come in but we don't think he should come in. I said let him in
[00:29:13] I did we talked he thinks I won by the way. He said it
[00:29:19] And teaching cues for deadlift. All right, man, butt back like you're letting another guy check it out
[00:29:24] Yeah chest up like you're showing it off to another guy big breath
[00:29:28] Like you saw a really attractive guy good now think about pushing away from the floor like it's made of women
[00:29:35] I could go all day but yeah, okay, but still was a was a classic poster
[00:29:39] But like I said immediately they're back. So yeah
[00:29:42] Rob's back on there, but boy it was nice to kind of go down some of the some of the best ones
[00:29:47] um
[00:29:48] Trump's glitches are like yeah classic old guy stuff retirement home soon seeing biden's are like
[00:29:53] This is how my parents dog was acting right before it died
[00:29:58] So if you have a chance there at somebody's nephew has a nice little compilation of those of those posts
[00:30:04] Well someone else who is back unexpectedly brian. Oh, yeah, james summerton
[00:30:09] Uh the thief the uh, the plagiarist. Yes
[00:30:13] Same difference
[00:30:14] This was discovered by at great cheshire also known as lady emily
[00:30:20] By the way, since some people have figured it out already
[00:30:24] I gotta say that the same day james summerton put up his post faking his death
[00:30:29] He rebranded his alt account and then posted about tv shows and also horny posted
[00:30:36] The same day james posted his first youtube apology. He started this alt account himself
[00:30:42] Originally under the attempted rebrand name of the gay raconteur
[00:30:48] Since then it was rebranded as an anal themed account
[00:30:53] Oh, I love I love I love uh gaping and plagiarizing
[00:30:59] i'm a naughty boy
[00:31:01] Of note is this time in between apology one and apology two where he on his alt began arguing in defense of himself
[00:31:08] Saying that what he did wasn't that bad and didn't hurt anybody
[00:31:12] Because the stuff he plagiarized was quote like a decade old and was blaming the cult of h-bomb h-bomber guy
[00:31:19] Mr. Harris there
[00:31:22] After another rebrand to the achillean boy
[00:31:26] He began going on tiktok first using ai voices and emoji avatars before finally using his actual face and voice
[00:31:34] Which is how others discovered it was him
[00:31:37] He saw people mourn his death and called those who ever criticized him murderers
[00:31:42] He put out a manipulative statement to ensure that fact and then horny posted from his safe alt while people suffered anxiety and grief
[00:31:49] For a death he never actually committed nor was at risk for
[00:31:54] Faking your death and then just like horny posting
[00:31:58] The first response here in this thread that isn't by the op is uh shin magami tensors floating disc
[00:32:06] Uh cuddled potato as they're at messing up faking my death by appearing on publicly accessible video
[00:32:13] Extremely on brand for him to see a trend where women talk about misogyny and how unsafe they feel and go
[00:32:19] But what about me a man?
[00:32:21] That is david j bradley but marked with a russusian s
[00:32:25] At jvd david j brandle brandle brandle
[00:32:30] Yeah, yeah, fuck this guy. He sucks
[00:32:32] I know it's funny though. It was like for all the people that got roasted in that video
[00:32:35] Uh, the angry video game nerd somehow didn't get unscathed. Yeah, I think we're all suffered enough, I guess
[00:32:42] Yeah, and apparently there was a video there was a video or a photo where he showed his balls
[00:32:47] Hold on. I gotta I gotta oh
[00:32:50] angry video game balls
[00:32:53] No summer team
[00:32:56] Hold on. Uh, yeah while you're looking at that you have that angry video game. Nerd just actually uploaded video
[00:33:01] He's been doing that shit for 20 years now. Yeah. Yeah, can you
[00:33:05] I mean he's got a video game with his likeness. Is that two video games?
[00:33:09] Oh, that's right. You just have to let me see the balls
[00:33:12] You see what your work. Let me see what you're working with there son
[00:33:15] Yeah, I just I think the internet doesn't want us to see it. You know what? That's fine
[00:33:19] That's fine. Uh, but apparently he was posting ass and balls on the twitter on the alst account
[00:33:25] Posting the uh, the berries. Yeah, and he's gone locked everybody
[00:33:30] Ah
[00:33:32] Yep
[00:33:33] Posts are protected. That's why we're not seeing it. All right. Well, it's crypto scam of the week time brian
[00:33:38] You're listening to 48 minutes of dogs barking the podcast and now it's time for the crypto scam of the week
[00:33:46] Is this what I think this is? Is this about a young man exploiting his mom? It is indeed
[00:33:52] Coin called live mom
[00:33:55] Oh
[00:33:57] I'm sorry. This whole story is just ridiculous. Uh, this comes from I know a reputable news source 99 bitcoins
[00:34:05] but here alex writes
[00:34:07] Crypto community shocked after mom and son launched a solana meme coin and promoted the project via a live stream
[00:34:15] Of the mom doing saucy challenges now the family has disappeared the community has taken over
[00:34:22] Here's what's going on
[00:34:23] So this kid and his mom launched me and coin on solana and then went to kick
[00:34:28] A stream of streaming platform. It was kind of generally seen as kind of a right-leaning place but on kick
[00:34:34] They started ebegging saying, you know, we're gonna
[00:34:38] When this gets to a certain thing the mom will do x some of them were
[00:34:43] 100k mom slaps me across the face 200k eat dog food
[00:34:48] 250k mom pours milk on my head 300k mom does 15 squats 400k mom does 15 jumping jacks
[00:34:56] 500k pour milk on my mom's chest
[00:34:59] 750k twerk battle with my mom 1 million plus mom writes milf on her chest
[00:35:04] 1.5 million plus sharpie yelo and j s across both our chests
[00:35:10] 2 million plus mom shaves my head
[00:35:14] So that was their goal now the the responses oh, yeah, yeah are just like the weirdest fucking uh bots
[00:35:21] Someone has a fake finance with we definitely need to discuss something huge for your project. Send me dm
[00:35:28] A great project fire emoji with huge potential rocket. Let's collaborate
[00:35:32] Message rocket at lima and that's actually two different verified accounts responding with that exact same message
[00:35:39] Amazing. Gee, I wonder they got two about
[00:35:44] 300k
[00:35:45] The stream then cuts out
[00:35:47] The boy says his phone runs out of battery promising viewers. They'll run it back tomorrow
[00:35:52] The price then crashes by half almost instantly viewers on stream calling it rightfully a rug
[00:36:00] They kicked up a new stream live mom to new token half hour later
[00:36:04] The stream lasted 15 minutes before the new ticker went to zero
[00:36:08] Once the second stream ended both the kick account and the live mom x account were probably deleted
[00:36:13] The mom and son duo have not been heard from
[00:36:15] Since this is where it gets incredibly stupid
[00:36:19] the original token began pumping out of nowhere
[00:36:22] going from
[00:36:24] Two point going going from 20k market cap to 2.4 mil overnight
[00:36:30] Yeah, yeah, this this has been happening a lot though. Um, yeah there was an appu as in like a poo the the the frog
[00:36:38] character
[00:36:39] That everyone says like friends and gm. Oh god to each other. Yeah that uh the
[00:36:46] dev
[00:36:47] Rugged sold all of his tokens and it went from
[00:36:51] I want to say 800k market cap
[00:36:54] To I think the last time I checked like 300 million
[00:36:57] Jesus wept
[00:36:59] Yeah, that's fucking insane and fucking insane the community takeover. Yeah. Well, apparently this has happened with this as too
[00:37:06] Uh, yeah, here's the video that dune hammer
[00:37:10] Put up here from the live stream. Meanwhile in sol shit coins kid launches coin and the utility
[00:37:16] Is sexually exploiting his supposed mother who wants to see these 36 double b's she says he actually suckled on me
[00:37:24] She's amazing
[00:37:26] We really have so much culture to offer this world
[00:37:29] doom hammer
[00:37:30] Also coming back with confirmation. It was indeed his mom community takeover
[00:37:34] Just launched 1 million m cap someone has come forward with the kids facebook
[00:37:39] And requesting money to reveal his identity website on the way memes being made more clips from the stream
[00:37:47] to come so, um
[00:37:51] Ridiculous
[00:37:52] That is a hell of a scam this here from decrypt
[00:37:56] Incestuous degeneracy apparently goes viral quickly the stream peaked at 1500 viewers within minutes
[00:38:02] In turn the token began to pump as eggs were cracked on a kid's head
[00:38:05] Okay, so he did follow through with at least some of these
[00:38:09] Messages like one nipple at 300k comma deal flooded the chat dudes 13 and pimping out his mom
[00:38:16] Another said while others begged all caps take it off, please
[00:38:20] Whoa, what time to be alive?
[00:38:22] We were baffled dude
[00:38:23] We couldn't believe it this prepubescent but also could have been of age kid with his mom enticing viewers to buy a coin
[00:38:29] With his mom shaking the assets the marketing pseudonymous viewer shamrock told decrypt. I was laughing my ass off
[00:38:36] Until he wrote
[00:38:38] To be clear. We don't know if the pair in the video are really mother and son only that they portrayed themselves this way
[00:38:44] Right. It's also possible that the mail in the videos of age though appears to be quite young
[00:38:49] It's also unclear if the pair cashed out
[00:38:52] And caused the price of the token to crash but the lean social media accounts and ghosting your investors
[00:38:57] All their hallmarks of a cryptocurrency rug pull a type of scam is all too common in the space
[00:39:03] No, he wrote I mean
[00:39:05] Well, so they deleted the tg and the twitters in the twitter account. That's actually bullish. He has more time to explain his mom
[00:39:12] They don't have to worry about dealing with the socials. They can just work on the product
[00:39:16] Yeah, he can focus he can get it down together. It's it's we're all gonna make it
[00:39:20] I mean a year ago people were doing
[00:39:23] Fucking cockroach race
[00:39:25] Oh, remember this shit? Okay. Well at least that was entertaining. I don't know what's entertaining about you
[00:39:30] Don't have an imagination jason, I guess I don't I guess I don't all right trip report trip report crypto scams
[00:39:38] Do not recommend
[00:39:39] uh, so we're really uh
[00:39:42] Yes, we are talking about our main the side to open up our third eye. We have indeed
[00:39:46] Yes, our main topic tonight is
[00:39:48] Aeroid trip report. I uh smoked some coffee grounds and a burnt banana peel
[00:39:54] Uh would not recommend spent two and a half hours trying to uh watch the tv guide channel
[00:40:00] Yeah
[00:40:02] Now what's interesting about aeroid is that yes, there's a lot of these stories that you'll hear
[00:40:08] trip reports in particular
[00:40:09] That are horrifying but have a tax id number apparently. Yeah, they are a
[00:40:16] 501 c3 they are a 501 c3. They started in april
[00:40:21] 9095
[00:40:22] Using proto indo-european linguistic roots aeroid roughly translates into
[00:40:28] Earth wisdom
[00:40:32] Yeah, so it's ever it's a donor supported which means it does not show ads which is definitely part of the whole 501 c3
[00:40:40] Thing and their whole thing is we're gonna warts and all tell you all about psychoactive plants chemicals technologies
[00:40:47] And related issues it has been cited by a number of scientific studies in that they're a harm reduction
[00:40:54] Which I think is an interesting way to put it
[00:40:57] Definitely, I I definitely knew people that before they tried something well on on the site and like looked up trip reports and
[00:41:04] General explanations of the substance or whatever. They were about to try and give them a better understanding
[00:41:11] I most certainly have done that in 96. They started putting themselves on search engines
[00:41:17] This according to their official about page
[00:41:19] See here they went from 100 daily page views to a thousand by the end of that first year
[00:41:24] And yeah here it says the profile of our visitors changed many had no foundation of knowledge
[00:41:30] No context within which to place the information they were finding on airwood
[00:41:34] We realized these visitors needed more basics summaries facts dosage and effects descriptions
[00:41:40] So we broadened our scope to include more general information and added sections about more common but arguably less
[00:41:46] Ethiogenic substances like cocaine heroin amphetamine and alcohol
[00:41:50] So this is essentially a place for you to go to either research a drug
[00:41:55] You're planning on taking or to give what brian reference says a trip report. That's exactly what it sounds like
[00:42:01] the terrence mckenna
[00:42:04] To 10 mg's of dxm
[00:42:06] And wandered to the gas station and spent 30 minutes trying to figure out which ice tea I wanted to buy
[00:42:13] From a refrigerated section thought I was getting peach
[00:42:17] Got unsweetened regular would not recommend right
[00:42:23] It's very cut and dried this stuff because they do take themselves seriously in this is very serious
[00:42:27] This is intellectual drug usage and information
[00:42:31] And this was a time
[00:42:33] Uh, I was all of 15. So yeah, I I was uh kind of
[00:42:38] Wandering around the web and you'd find stuff
[00:42:41] But yeah in 2001 they actually got mentioned in peer review journals about
[00:42:46] Articles discussing online information about disapproved psychoactives
[00:42:52] They got speaking engagements because they they were perceived
[00:42:57] As archivists and librarians kind of as the guardians of this esoteric knowledge. And so now they are
[00:43:05] considered
[00:43:06] a harm reduction group now
[00:43:09] This stuff is all purely like academic and they're going to write about it as if it's academic
[00:43:14] But for the most part
[00:43:16] It's the user stories
[00:43:18] That are the chunk of arrowid and that account for a lot of the bizarre
[00:43:23] Reputation that the site has let's say november of 2015. The new yorker had a great bit. Emily witt wrote this
[00:43:30] Called the trip planners
[00:43:32] Which was a profile about the people behind the site
[00:43:35] You can't tell a great deal about the webpage airwood from its homepage a tagline reads
[00:43:41] Documenting the complex relationship between humans and psychoactives
[00:43:45] This text is surrounded by photographs a cactus a cannabis bud a bottle of ketamine tabs of lsd
[00:43:51] The design looks old web 1.0 old with a simple typeface and a black background
[00:43:57] The tolkienesq name the fact page reveals was coined with assistance from a dictionary of indo-european roots
[00:44:03] It means earth wisdom today arrowid contains highly detailed profiles of more than 350
[00:44:09] psychoactive substances from caffeine to methamphetamine
[00:44:13] As of 2014 the site had 17 million unique visitors up from 100 in 1996
[00:44:22] So in october of 2015
[00:44:26] This writer
[00:44:27] Reached out to these two who are known only as earth and fire by the way
[00:44:33] Amazing
[00:44:35] Yes, this is on arrowid which is run by earth and fire with the help of two off-site staffers and many volunteers
[00:44:42] You can read about drum circles in the mind and spirit section and about jerry garcia in culture and art
[00:44:48] Yeah, really fucking figure that one. Yeah, no shit
[00:44:52] It'd be a little weird if there wasn't a jerry garcia section
[00:44:57] You can find the digitized research archives of albert hoffman the who first synthesized lsd
[00:45:03] So it does have kind of a a scientific
[00:45:08] pedigree almost
[00:45:10] But the centerpiece of the site is plants and drugs each substance has a vault
[00:45:14] Which includes pages on many topics like dosage affects legal status history
[00:45:19] Some of that experience is derived from experience reports, which are descriptive accounts of drug trips that anyone
[00:45:26] can submit
[00:45:28] Since 2000 arrowid has received more than
[00:45:31] 100 000 reports and published about a quarter of them
[00:45:36] This is also news to me
[00:45:37] I did not know that there was stuff that they would not publish because there's some insane shit on this website. So
[00:45:44] Speaking of insane shit
[00:45:46] i'm going to give you my
[00:45:47] Top four maybe top five if you're cool with that. Sure watching the trees grow
[00:45:53] black widow spider comma alcohol and cannabis
[00:45:58] by vunty 86
[00:46:01] This is from 2008 dose
[00:46:04] uh sc
[00:46:06] I don't I i'm
[00:46:08] animals black widow spider four glasses oral alcohol beer and wine smoked cannabis body weight 130 pounds
[00:46:16] It was college. I was drinking with three of my good friends and my girlfriend at the time and smoking some weed
[00:46:23] My ex-girlfriend wanted to get away to have sex in the woods
[00:46:26] Needless to say it was very easy to convince me
[00:46:31] As I lay in was mounting her in the dark woods outside of my friend's mountain home
[00:46:36] I put my hand in a spider's web that seemed extremely tough and springy
[00:46:40] I didn't think anything at the time because I was focused on the job at hand until I felt something crawl onto my hand
[00:46:47] I reached to swipe it off crushing the black widow spider, but I felt a stinging in my hand
[00:46:52] I tried to continue having sex, but my hand was hurting so bad and I had to stop
[00:46:58] When I stood up I was very dizzy and disoriented my ex-girlfriend and I started making our way back to the house
[00:47:04] Which was about 150 yards away. We didn't go very far into the woods and about halfway there my legs gave out
[00:47:10] My ex-girlfriend gave me some support and we got back to the house
[00:47:14] It was kind of late and everybody was really drunk
[00:47:16] I looked at my hand and it was swollen where the bite was and there were red marks around it
[00:47:21] I was starting to feel really strange and I knew it wasn't just the alcohol
[00:47:25] I remember my ex-girlfriend wanting someone to take me to the hospital an argument ensuing over why we shouldn't drink and drive
[00:47:32] And where the nearest hospital was
[00:47:35] My best friend was on my ex-girlfriend's side and said he didn't give a fuck and he would drive me to the hospital
[00:47:40] Which was about an hour away
[00:47:41] I had been lying on the couch for a while not sure how long and I tried to stand up and fell straight down
[00:47:47] I thought it was hilarious, but inside I knew something was very wrong
[00:47:51] My ex-girlfriend and my friend carried me to his truck and put me in the back seat
[00:47:55] This is when the blackouts and hallucinations began
[00:48:00] The spider poison gave me a trip I had never had before and I have tripped on everything but mescaline including dxm
[00:48:09] In the back of the truck
[00:48:10] I was looking out the window as my ex-girlfriend cried and my friend got on the cb radio not giving a damn about
[00:48:16] Anything there were parts of the trip where I felt like it was in a bubble
[00:48:20] Parts where I watched the trees grow really really tall and then shrink back to normal and saying a bunch of random shit
[00:48:25] I don't remember
[00:48:27] I know that about 30 minutes in my friends couldn't even understand what I was saying because my speech was slurred
[00:48:32] So bad we made it to the er room where the nurse was waiting with a wheelchair and they checked me in
[00:48:37] They asked me how bad it hurt on a scale of one to ten and even with the beer in the weed
[00:48:41] Numbing the pain. I said it was an 11
[00:48:44] The doctor who treated me at 3 a.m
[00:48:46] Was drunker and nearly as fucked up as I was
[00:48:49] He slurred his speech really bad and all I could do was laugh in his face
[00:48:52] I asked my friends what he was saying and they don't know to this day. We just do impressions of him
[00:48:57] I think I laughed in his face because I was laughing
[00:49:01] He ended up giving me some shot keeping me for 30 minutes and releasing me with 20 10 mg oxycontins score
[00:49:08] On the way back my ex-girlfriend and I finished our business in the back of my friend's car
[00:49:13] against his wishes
[00:49:20] Oh
[00:49:23] This was uh submitted in
[00:49:25] 2008 it says it took place in 2004 interesting
[00:49:28] So this guy held on to this for four years and he was like, you know what?
[00:49:32] I didn't tell him about that time. I was fucking
[00:49:35] Got bit by goddamn black will
[00:49:39] Amazing
[00:49:40] It's written up. So, you know like everything is all the you know age at time of experience not given, you know
[00:49:47] Oh lord, we're gonna say fairly young. Yeah. Yeah, I'd imagine so
[00:49:53] Lsd crack and five meo dmt. Hell yeah by todd the pod the pod
[00:50:00] All right. This was uh
[00:50:03] May
[00:50:04] 20th 2002 dose was three hits of lsd blotter tabs
[00:50:10] One hit of a smoked crack power slash crystals
[00:50:14] Oh, I the dose there's time in here. So the the the crack was I want to say
[00:50:20] An hour 39. Yeah, hour 39 after the first
[00:50:24] After the the three hits of acid then he topped out all off an hour and 55
[00:50:31] with um
[00:50:33] one hit of smoked dmt
[00:50:36] Body weight 150 pounds
[00:50:39] Day one two of my friends and I drove to california and got a hotel near six flags magic mountain
[00:50:46] We brought nine hits of acid which was in the form of smarties about three fourth gram of crack
[00:50:52] In some five meo dmt, which my friends didn't tell me about until it was too late
[00:50:59] We also had a wheelchair a big blanket a crack pipe a lyre and a small notepad with pen and money
[00:51:06] For tickets before the experience. I had only done acid once with two hits
[00:51:12] I tried crack once about one fourth of a gram and other than that, but we never smoked weed
[00:51:19] I even been on a roller coaster before this day
[00:51:23] We were all in a pretty good mood
[00:51:25] But I was nervous because I was the least experienced one with drugs and amusements parks
[00:51:30] day two
[00:51:32] 7 a.m
[00:51:33] We wake up each takes three hits of acid and eat a small meal from the hotel
[00:51:37] We load the crack pipe and leave for the park
[00:51:40] 7 28 we get the six flags and start waiting in line
[00:51:43] I started feeling nervous and jerry, but my friends don't feel anything yet
[00:51:47] 7 46 we finally get to the front line and the acid has begun to kick in for all of us
[00:51:52] Visuals start about the same time we get through
[00:51:56] into the park
[00:51:57] 802 we arrive at superman rive steel and start waiting people offer us to cut
[00:52:04] But we are just going to wait for the acid to kick in a little more so we stay in the back of the line
[00:52:11] 839
[00:52:12] Arrive about two people towards the front
[00:52:14] My friend gives me a cue to take a hit from the crack pipe
[00:52:17] I hit the pipe under the big blanket and take a huge toke
[00:52:21] I tried to hold it in but my head started feeling way bigger and uncomfortable
[00:52:25] So I blow it out the smoke
[00:52:27] I turn look at my friend almost go blind
[00:52:29] I see extremely bright lights and noises seem to blend into this frightening groan
[00:52:34] I started wondering if this really was the crack reacting with the acid, but I couldn't keep a train of thought going
[00:52:40] 8 42
[00:52:42] They say we can get on the ride
[00:52:44] My friends have to pretty much drag me onto the right as i'm gripping the wheelchair as if my life depended on it
[00:52:49] I keep slipping in and out of reality wondering if i'm on the ride the ride starts
[00:52:55] 843
[00:52:59] I just lose it
[00:53:01] I feel like i'm going 10 000 miles per hour through a void
[00:53:04] I start screaming and crying all my muscles tighten up and I sweat like crazy
[00:53:10] We get to the top and I start crying we roll back down and I and wait to get off the ride
[00:53:15] 848
[00:53:17] My friends quickly get me on the wheelchair and push me away from the crowds
[00:53:21] I looked down nose of wet my pants and peeked all over myself, which I don't remember even doing
[00:53:26] My face is still pouring with sweat and tears. My friends try to calm me down
[00:53:31] Give me a soda and telling me everything will be okay
[00:53:35] My friends told me they mixed some five meo dmt with the crack x what is that?
[00:53:41] They said tow them and explained it
[00:53:43] They had to repeat a lot of stuff because their voices were distorted and I had to hear things two or three times understand it
[00:53:49] I feel better because I feel the five meo dmt wearing off the acid is still running strong
[00:53:55] And I still feel dirty from the body fluids
[00:53:57] I see a crowd of people and I think they are all laughing and pointing at me
[00:54:00] They start to come closer and I tell my friends to avoid the crowd
[00:54:03] They look over and told me that they were actually walking away
[00:54:08] 912
[00:54:09] My friends are still talking to me
[00:54:10] I ask what do I do about my clothes? They say this might happen. We are prepared
[00:54:15] They told me that there was one spare change of clothes that would fit any of us under the wheelchair
[00:54:20] I think them and now I am a lot happier
[00:54:23] 920 we go to know where no one can see us
[00:54:25] I stand up and bring the clothes into a bathroom hoping nobody would be in there
[00:54:29] There was one person and they looked at me, but they didn't say anything about the puke or the pee
[00:54:33] I quickly go into a stall and start undressing after what feels like four hours
[00:54:37] I finally get all my clothes on and join my friends
[00:54:41] 935
[00:54:42] Asked how long I took he said 15 minutes. I put the dirty clothes and blanket under the wheelchair
[00:54:47] I looked up at my friend's face and stare his freckles jumped out of his head and his face melts tearing in the pixels
[00:54:53] And other various things he said be careful, dude. Your pupils are so dilate
[00:54:59] 940 I asked my friend to ride the wheelchair
[00:55:02] He said okay
[00:55:05] It's not too dirty walking feels great
[00:55:07] I apologized to my friends for wasting time getting dressed and whatnot, but they said it was cool
[00:55:11] They were so sorry for giving me five meo without permission
[00:55:15] We are all now in a mood where we feel like we need to apologize
[00:55:19] The rest of the day we on a few more rides and my friends found places to take hits from the pipe before
[00:55:23] Going on them
[00:55:24] We took one hit from the pipe and each one a different ride while on the five meo
[00:55:28] I didn't go in on any more roller coasters, but some other rides while I wait for my friends
[00:55:32] I walked around trying to avoid people. I was very paranoid
[00:55:36] Day three I was very sore, especially my neck
[00:55:40] That was probably because I tightened my muscles on the roller coasters
[00:55:44] I will never go on a roller coaster or take five meo dmt again
[00:55:48] Purposely, but still might do acid to confront my problems
[00:55:51] Final note. I wouldn't recommend doing any drugs on roller coasters and like unless you like very intense stuff
[00:55:57] I wouldn't recommend bringing a crack pipe to such a public place much less smoking out of it
[00:56:02] I was very lucky some people may say unlucky that I didn't get caught
[00:56:09] Experience year 2001. Hopefully this is the worst thing that happened to that guy that year
[00:56:13] Yeah, can't really get much any worse
[00:56:16] Unless he died
[00:56:18] Lsd crack and toad venom brian and he didn't even know he was doing the toad venom. So there were people on there doing
[00:56:25] Datra wow and the title of this one that terrified naked man in the corner is me by craig
[00:56:34] 600 seeds
[00:56:36] Orally, he says jen a friend of mine came to sit with us
[00:56:40] We ingested 600 seeds each as quickly as possible and washed them down with a glass of milk
[00:56:45] We then locked all the doors and windows to my house as to prevent any drug induced rampages police run-ins or worse
[00:56:52] Chris and I plopped down in front of my new big screen and began watching a movie
[00:56:57] About an hour into it. I started to feel the effects the dry mouth came on as in other trip reports
[00:57:03] I had no idea it would be this strong
[00:57:05] My legs felt like rubber and my body was completely out of whack
[00:57:09] I looked over to chris to tell him it was kicking in and found even this simple task disorienting
[00:57:14] He confirmed the same experience thus far
[00:57:17] In what was the stupidest move of the century jen decided she was bored and she would take 150 seeds
[00:57:24] Now she's had her experiences with drugs before
[00:57:28] But she was our sitter
[00:57:30] There sherpa decided to uh, i've had that problem. Yeah
[00:57:34] Time plus three hours as time passed it seemed to stretch much like a dxm trip
[00:57:39] I lost reference of time the only indicator was a digital clock which would have been impossible to read if it weren't for the
[00:57:45] large readout
[00:57:46] The movie had since finished and the television was airing some show about cops
[00:57:50] I honestly couldn't tell you what it was
[00:57:52] I was watching but all the lights and colors melded into this visual supernova that I couldn't stop staring at
[00:57:58] Chris grunted strangely and looked over to see him sliding off the couch
[00:58:03] I became frightened because of that very moment the room had vanished
[00:58:07] We were stranded on a couch in a burning hallway
[00:58:10] I grabbed chris and pulled him back onto the couch so that he wouldn't get burned
[00:58:14] He looked at me with his massive pupils and spoke an unrecognizable string of words time slowed as he spoke
[00:58:20] His voice echoed in slow motion and his pupils expanded beyond his eyes spiraling toward me
[00:58:26] I was intrigued at what I was seeing when jen grabbed my shoulder from the other couch
[00:58:30] She was engulfed in flames and ran from the couch up into my bedroom
[00:58:35] I laid on my bed trying to make sense of everything when I saw a man looking through the window
[00:58:39] Unable to make out his face. I was frightened. It was dark outside and I was on the second floor impossible, but I believed it
[00:58:47] Trip plus five hours jen opened the door to my room
[00:58:49] She sounded something and laid next to me her face twisted and turned as I stared
[00:58:53] I couldn't remember where we were
[00:58:55] Time plus eight. I must have blacked out because three hours had passed and I was still lying with jen on my bed
[00:59:00] Only now we were both naked. Did we have sex? Why was I naked? What happened?
[00:59:05] I had no explanation, but somehow I didn't seem to need one
[00:59:08] We tried to have sex which is weird in itself since we had never so much discussed before this
[00:59:13] I was too far gone to know what I was doing and then I went black again
[00:59:17] Time plus 11 hours. I came to sprawled on my bedroom floor. I was now by myself
[00:59:22] I noticed a residue on my body leading me to believe that we had sex but jen was nowhere to be found
[00:59:28] I walked in the kitchen looking for her, but there was no kitchen beyond my bedroom door
[00:59:32] I stepped into a supermarket only it was closed. There was no food on the shelves
[00:59:37] I ran back downstairs into the tv room where I had last seen chris the room was black
[00:59:41] I saw nothing but a body hovering in midair. It was chris who seemed to be sleeping
[00:59:47] Trip plus 12 hours. I decided I needed a cigarette
[00:59:51] Interestingly, I had one in my ear at the time
[00:59:54] I smoked it and took another one from my now reloaded ear. Where were these coming from?
[00:59:59] Trip plus 13 hours. I grew tired but still hadn't found jen
[01:00:03] I walked upstairs and immediately upon open the door needed to lie down
[01:00:07] I thought I was in some kind of endless field that I was sleeping on the grass there. I slept for almost 20 hours
[01:00:14] trip plus 33 hours
[01:00:17] I awoke still hallucinating
[01:00:20] I didn't know where I was or how I'd gotten there, but it seemed to be a house that wasn't my own
[01:00:25] I proceeded into the living room to come across a naked woman jen. She sat in her chair talking to nobody
[01:00:31] When I entered the room, she saw me and immediately took off running. Where did she go? Who was she?
[01:00:37] trip plus 35 hours
[01:00:40] I needed to leave I was in a strange house and I was stuck
[01:00:44] I ventured into what I thought was a bedroom. It turned out to be a balcony
[01:00:48] On the balcony. I found a man's clothing, but no man were these mine
[01:00:52] I looked out into the backyard and there on the ground was a man naked somebody had fallen luckily. They landed in the water
[01:00:59] Trip plus 36 hours
[01:01:01] I proceeded into the next room intrigued as if I were investigating some deserted mansion
[01:01:06] A radio hummed although I saw no radio
[01:01:09] I noticed a sliding glass door to the back and tried to open it
[01:01:12] There was a strange door and I couldn't seem to open it. I felt trapped
[01:01:15] I knew it was some kind of illusion. I jumped through it and I was right. There was nothing there
[01:01:20] And I was finally outside free from the prison
[01:01:22] There was a truck on the side of the road that I noticed from where I was standing
[01:01:25] I decided to hitch a ride and try to get back home. Mind you this guy's still naked
[01:01:29] Jumped into the bed of the truck and waited
[01:01:31] Shortly thereafter the driver got in and we were off I laid still so not to attract attention
[01:01:36] When all of a sudden a friend of mine from high school appeared
[01:01:38] I hadn't seen him in ages, but he was going to blow my covered
[01:01:42] I remembered I was naked but I didn't want him to see me
[01:01:45] I tried to close my eyes, but he was still there. I shouted and tried to struggle with him, but he disappeared
[01:01:51] Trip plus question question question the truck stopped. I was found out the driver got out and saw me
[01:01:57] He had no facial features. No eyes. No mouth. No nose
[01:02:01] I jumped from the bed and began to run naked and scared. This is my last memory
[01:02:05] There is no further evidence as to what happened after this point, but I awoke hours later
[01:02:10] Finally somewhat sober I opened my eyes and there were three people
[01:02:15] Staring at me. I was naked bleeding and coveted my own feces
[01:02:19] I huddled in the corner of whatever room I was in it was a family
[01:02:24] They found me and tried to keep me safe. I was in southern new hampshire after starting in maine
[01:02:31] I was almost three hours from my home with no recollection of how I got there
[01:02:36] The family offered me clothing and enough money to take the bus back home
[01:02:40] Aftermath I returned home to find my house in ruins
[01:02:45] The sliding glass door I had imagined was my bedroom window
[01:02:49] Chris was lying on the ground in my yard after falling from the second floor
[01:02:54] He had no clothing a lot on he was alive
[01:02:57] But broke his right leg. I found jen in my bathtub still naked and sleeping
[01:03:03] My life was hysteria for 48 hours
[01:03:06] I am not sure how all three of us survived that trip
[01:03:12] Wow
[01:03:13] Yeah, and here's the

[01:03:27] The report data without first contacting arrowwood center and receiving written permission. Uh-oh our large language ball

[01:03:35] It's the it's the ai that shits fuck
[01:03:39] Experience reports are the writings and opinions of the authors who submit them
[01:03:42] Some of the activities described are dangerous and or illegal and none of them are recommended by the arrow wizard. Well, that's good to know
[01:03:49] putting your hand in a
[01:03:52] Black widow's nest not good taking datura not good
[01:03:57] There's some real long ones. But anyway, you you kind of get the idea
[01:04:01] A definitely a field guide to psychedelics this bit from the new yorkers wrapping it up. Some of them are positive
[01:04:08] Others are not existential horror unimaginable depths of terror
[01:04:14] convulsions seizures vomiting
[01:04:17] So that's definitely kind of the greatest hits there but arrowwood what an interesting thing to read
[01:04:22] It's like tv tropes, but if you really like hearing people tell you
[01:04:26] How high they got one time?
[01:04:28] ayahuasca
[01:04:30] And learned about the blockchain
[01:04:33] I gotta ask you jason. Uh, do you if you had an opportunity to submit a trip report?
[01:04:39] Would you have something to submit? Not really? I mean, they're pretty boring. I'm very boring. Yeah
[01:04:45] And I mean i'm pretty boring too, but I at least have a couple
[01:04:48] Yeah, every table time I did dxm. No god. Oh man. It was fucking
[01:04:53] I it kind of fucked up my brain
[01:04:56] So I was in a band when I was like
[01:04:58] 20 19 or 20 the guitar player
[01:05:02] this is like a
[01:05:04] Band was very much heavily inspired by like black bro motorcycle club dandy warholz brian jones on massacre
[01:05:10] so like lots of semi-hollow body guitars and like corduroy and
[01:05:16] Um, I had listed some pretty fucking terrible music
[01:05:19] But then I'd be like hey, can you listen like back and they'd be like, I don't know if I like this
[01:05:22] I'm like dude, this is it's fucking mellow gold. Who doesn't like mellow anyways?
[01:05:27] And the guitar player was like, oh, I know a guy I can guess dxm and the singer of the band was like
[01:05:33] Really interested in uh that kind of stuff expanding his mind and all that. Okay
[01:05:39] Because he was kind of like a bored privileged kid from old town st. Charles
[01:05:45] And uh, I guess he didn't have enough trauma in his life. He needed so he needed some drugs
[01:05:50] Yeah, it was a friday night
[01:05:52] This guy comes over that that the guitarist knows
[01:05:55] And he's like this chubby guy who's just a great personality
[01:06:00] and he um
[01:06:03] Is a music school teacher at catholic school. Oh boy
[01:06:06] And i'm like, this is already weird enough
[01:06:10] And he like goes over because we had keyboards in the band and he goes over to her her keyboard
[01:06:16] He starts playing a door song
[01:06:19] And i'm like, oh no one of those oh jeez i'm just like, you know, I mean you gotta think I'm a pretty mean person now
[01:06:25] but imagine how mean I was
[01:06:28] 17 years ago, right? That was pretty fucking brutal and i'm just like biting my tongue because i'm like
[01:06:34] I don't know dxm sounds, you know, it's a cough syrup thing, you know
[01:06:39] But he had had it in power form
[01:06:41] And he took like vitamin d capsules like gel caps
[01:06:45] And he had some way of measuring it out and he's like well i'm not going to give you a hero dose or anything
[01:06:50] Since your first time god since you know, it's your first time doing psychedelics. So he gave me was supposed to be like a pre light
[01:06:57] First timers dose we were supposed to have someone and I think it was a guitar player and his girlfriend
[01:07:03] No, his girlfriend and her friend were supposed to be our sherpas
[01:07:08] So we walked we took the dxm
[01:07:12] We walked down to the the gas station down the street got some snacks came back
[01:07:17] And in just that amount of time I was starting to feel it
[01:07:20] And so I laid down on a couch
[01:07:22] In like the den of this house that the guitar player or the singer lived in
[01:07:27] I was pretty much couch locked from that moment. Like I had I had like a soda
[01:07:32] and like some snacks and I was pretty much done and what really fucking sucks is that
[01:07:37] The singer had like a 300 cd
[01:07:41] Disc changer
[01:07:43] And he like set everything up like dude, we're gonna have ourselves a nice little trip. We're gonna start out with this record
[01:07:49] We're gonna move into all that
[01:07:51] Stuff and i'm like, okay. Yeah, that sounds fun
[01:07:54] but uh, little did we know that when we were like doing something
[01:07:58] The fucking music teacher walked into the room with the cd changer
[01:08:04] Took out like half the cds and replaced some of the stuff from his own fucking collection
[01:08:08] So it was like literally like fucking dave matthews band and shit
[01:08:11] and
[01:08:12] Oh, I remember
[01:08:15] Laying on this couch
[01:08:17] Um the dude's girlfriend her friend left
[01:08:20] Oh jesus because they were bored and this probably was even midnight
[01:08:24] I can't stand up because all I want to do because the fucking music teacher is he's falling asleep
[01:08:29] He's snoring ass up in the air
[01:08:32] In the fucking den living room space in this house, right?
[01:08:36] i'm just like
[01:08:38] Fucking losing my mind because like all I can think of is that i'm good because my heart because one of the things about dxm
[01:08:44] Is your heart can beat really fast?
[01:08:45] Yeah, I can just hear my heart going like real hard like at least 160 bpm
[01:08:51] You know, like if you're working out or like jogging or something
[01:08:53] That's not uncommon. But like if you're just like laying on the couch, yeah, that's probably bad. Yes
[01:08:59] And i'm just sitting there thinking, um
[01:09:02] Oh, i'm gonna die right and my parents are going to be so embarrassed because I died listening to dave matthews band
[01:09:10] Like I I like I like fixated on that thought for a very very long time
[01:09:16] And then when these songs would end
[01:09:19] This dave matthews record
[01:09:21] Uh when one song would end and the other would begin I would have a visual hallucination
[01:09:27] On the wall in front of the couch because i'm laying i'm laying on the couch was against the wall
[01:09:31] Yeah, i'm laying on it. So the corner wall
[01:09:34] i'm watching uh, like just like you know, like
[01:09:37] Fractals and things like that, but the one that always stuck with me
[01:09:41] Because I was really in the press of episodes. I'm fucking I can't get off this couch. My legs don't work
[01:09:46] Yeah, i'm having to listen to dave fucking matthews band
[01:09:49] when at least if I like listening like black rebel motorcycle club or
[01:09:53] Uh dandy warhols, I could at least like like bob my head along. Yeah, this could be worse
[01:09:58] Yeah, what i'm having to listen. I mean dave matthews band is fucking I mean
[01:10:02] If you played that you could it's torture music. Yeah. Yeah, you would get any information
[01:10:07] Oh, I ever want out of all of my friends. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you get me sing like a canary you put
[01:10:12] Oh absolutely, you know
[01:10:14] But I remember one song and then the other began and the vision I had
[01:10:18] Was a sweatshop, okay full of black women and like the dominican republic
[01:10:26] putting together a waya car stereos
[01:10:31] and um
[01:10:33] Yeah
[01:10:34] So, uh at some point
[01:10:37] I'm able to get my feet back
[01:10:39] Just barely I feel like I have to shit
[01:10:43] And this is an old house sound really travels the bathroom's in a weird place
[01:10:49] And i'm just like how am I gonna
[01:10:52] You know, I i'm everyone's going to hear me. Yeah, whatever i'm doing
[01:10:56] But the thing is to get to the bathroom. I had to go through the band room
[01:11:00] So i'm not trying to trip over everyone's like guitars and stuff and like you know all the instrument cable everywhere
[01:11:06] Oh, yeah, of course. It's all oh, of course just like
[01:11:09] Some some some of them were trying to jam out before and it didn't really work out that well
[01:11:14] Um, but I get to the bathroom which is in the back of the house
[01:11:17] and
[01:11:19] I sit on the toilet
[01:11:21] And I don't even think to like do something like run the water
[01:11:25] but um
[01:11:28] I I uh loosen myself. Okay, and I do not
[01:11:34] excrete any feces
[01:11:37] But I do have probably the loudest fart i've ever had in my life
[01:11:43] In this dead silent house, it probably like six in the morning
[01:11:48] and
[01:11:50] The only way I can really express how this fart sounded being echoed
[01:11:56] Through this bathroom because it's already again a very boomy house. Yeah. Yeah, all I can really describe is if like someone
[01:12:03] shot a cam ball
[01:12:05] a very
[01:12:06] Heavy rug that was held up in the air. It's just like a real
[01:12:11] Real thud. Yeah
[01:12:13] And uh, i'm like well that didn't that didn't go anywhere. I still feel like I need the shit, but whatever
[01:12:18] and uh
[01:12:19] so like wash my hands and I
[01:12:23] blind man walk back to the couch and uh,
[01:12:27] the singer comes to
[01:12:31] And this is a part of the story I had not remembered until now
[01:12:36] But the singer had to get on a plane
[01:12:39] Oh, yeah, to be like playing it like
[01:12:42] Nine or ten a.m. Oh, no
[01:12:44] And uh, he drove he ended up driving his ass on fucking dxm to the fucking airport or
[01:12:50] Or he drove somewhere and had like his mom take him or something
[01:12:54] But i'm just like thinking like this is fucked and like he had like he like we
[01:12:58] Me and him both like had to kick the music teacher guy out
[01:13:01] He stayed the night. Yeah, well because he fucking fell asleep after
[01:13:05] Replacing all of the music
[01:13:07] And he had like come back at another time to get to get his CDs
[01:13:11] Yeah, but we're like, yeah fucking go and I remember like showing back up because I was still like in college living with my mom
[01:13:17] I show up at her back at the house and this is probably like a.m
[01:13:22] And she looks at me. She's cuz what's going on?
[01:13:26] I was just like
[01:13:28] Yeah, uh, we stayed up late like watching movies and playing music. Yeah, we didn't get a lot of sleep
[01:13:33] Yeah, yeah, and my mom probably if I asked her we're probably like, yeah, I knew you were probably fucked up on something
[01:13:39] but uh
[01:13:41] I was kind of for all the stories. I tell about being like a shitty kid. I was also kind of a really good kid
[01:13:46] Yeah, so my mom
[01:13:49] I probably have openly talked about how my mom was kind of not did not let me have like a good teenage year
[01:13:55] But my mom kind of did make up for it because when I would do that shit
[01:13:58] Like when she would catch me with like with booze or something. She would just kind of like shake her head
[01:14:04] Right, and I never really got punished
[01:14:07] Because it was like well you came home sober
[01:14:10] Yeah, you just had it in your trunk, right?
[01:14:14] And things like that
[01:14:16] And you know, so she would confiscate it and then tell me about how she took it to like a friend's christmas party
[01:14:20] And they all drank it and i'm like fuck
[01:14:22] You're right
[01:14:23] god damn it
[01:14:26] Yeah, no money for that
[01:14:27] Well the one once the one time she found like a trash bag full of booze in my trunk
[01:14:32] Which I don't know where she like she never
[01:14:34] If I ever came home like late if I like stayed over at a friend's house and I knew that I went out
[01:14:39] We were going to like another person's place that she didn't necessarily know never asked to check the trunk
[01:14:44] Right, but the one time I had stuff in the trunk. She's like when she's yeah, let me see the trunk
[01:14:49] Yeah, the thing was like half of the stuff was like wine coolers like barrels
[01:14:54] And I was just like like i'm just like thinking like you know what it'd be really funny to have these and show up
[01:14:59] At a house party
[01:15:01] Like with some barrels and james like oh, yeah
[01:15:03] Because you know because i'm at the age where people are gonna be having that house party
[01:15:07] Yeah, if I show up over at fucking hankies
[01:15:10] With some fucking uh something really ironic like barrels and james like maybe some girl with like a fucking eyebrow piercing
[01:15:17] Will want to make out with me. You know, that's a cool idea. I'm i'm like 20
[01:15:22] I think that's pretty tight. It seems the thing the thing is like the thing to do
[01:15:26] Yeah
[01:15:26] The funny thing is like uh the probably the better I have gotten at being a person the more unattractive
[01:15:32] I've gotten physically you seem frozen me. I was like young like that and like
[01:15:37] I do not look like the same but I like had no idea when I was like
[01:15:41] A teenager or like in my early 20s. I was like hot
[01:15:44] No, it wasn't until like I got like starting to look a little bit like my dad that I was like
[01:15:49] Oh, I really had some and I even had like some like people I like hooked up with or like they'd like tell
[01:15:55] Me as like a person in my 30s like
[01:15:57] God you were just so fucking hot when you were like 22. You're just you just couldn't shut the fuck up
[01:16:03] Uh, hey like you couldn't stop talking shit like every time I see you at a house party
[01:16:08] You know, we won't hook up with you. You were getting in a fight with some dude with like a lip ring
[01:16:13] Fucking greasy hair because like you said that like fucking slayer was for fucks. See, you know, like i'm like well
[01:16:21] It is yeah
[01:16:24] God just uh, I don't have any exciting stories like that. I think i'm a boring guy
[01:16:31] You don't know this about rooms a couple times i've had pretty much a good experience with with that first time took a real
[01:16:39] modest amount
[01:16:41] I had really
[01:16:42] light
[01:16:44] Hallucinogenic experiences really just kind of felt like I was in a good mood
[01:16:48] Yeah, we took my buddy's dog. He had a pug
[01:16:51] We took dug the pug to the park across the street Compton park
[01:16:56] We tired that fucking dog out i've never I mean this is a dog that would play fetch do all kinds of dumb shit
[01:17:02] I never like we had to like pick him up
[01:17:05] but then it's like she started to hit like we're like fucking like like
[01:17:08] Jester each other with big fucking sticks. We found like
[01:17:12] And uh, I remember like taking photos. I maybe I had a camera with me
[01:17:16] But it was like me my buddy and his girlfriend. We were just like fucking this is great
[01:17:21] We got some like blackthorn pizza delivered to us
[01:17:25] um
[01:17:27] Funny thing about this story. I had to take them to the airport in the morning. God damn
[01:17:30] What is it with?
[01:17:32] I don't know like I also don't know what people like I want to do hallucinogenics and also then go
[01:17:36] Yeah
[01:17:37] Uh, because i've been on there's a burger record story that you told me
[01:17:41] You had to go to the airport that day too. They got fucking really fucking high
[01:17:45] And like i've taken an edible and gone on flight and one thing but acid's another
[01:17:51] Yeah, well they will they both the burger record story they well
[01:17:55] One guy took acid but he was coming down before they started smoking
[01:17:59] So I think that's a little bit of a different experience
[01:18:01] But I think I think having to navigate an airport when you're really fucking high and also like
[01:18:05] The anxiety that some people might experience with flying while high. Um, I think it's a some people might do well
[01:18:11] But I don't think most do but um, yeah, I wouldn't I wouldn't take an edible until i'm actually on the plane
[01:18:16] Yeah, um, i'd wait
[01:18:18] but I um
[01:18:21] But doing shrooms like just had like a really great like mild experience
[01:18:26] Didn't really have any big visual hallucinations
[01:18:29] My friend's girlfriend didn't really report anything heavy. Just like a good like fucking watching simpsons on dvd
[01:18:35] Just having like a really great time
[01:18:37] And I do I do understand
[01:18:40] why
[01:18:41] They're they're using they're looking at
[01:18:43] You know magic mushrooms for like, you know the pressure and all that
[01:18:46] Yeah, because again, I took a very small amount just enough to get the get myself going
[01:18:50] Right and like I was in a great mood for like a fucking week
[01:18:53] Like I had felt I don't think I have felt that good since I mean like just like gonna be in a good head space
[01:18:59] You hear about micro dose or mac? Yeah micro dosing
[01:19:02] Yeah, you hear about micro dosing all the time as it's like we're getting through the day
[01:19:06] It's in the second time I took mushrooms like
[01:19:09] I took a very smaller amount than I did the time before because I was kind of like the dd
[01:19:13] Situation we were in uh springfield
[01:19:16] And everyone else had taken much more and I just actually honestly just like felt the mushrooms for like an hour and a half
[01:19:22] And they were gone. Yeah, i was like, that's really all I wanted and I I had like it was a great show
[01:19:27] Had great fucking times. It's like kind of fucking chilling the fuck out feeling good
[01:19:31] You know I get into the car to go back to the house that we were staying at
[01:19:35] I like pull out of the parking space and everyone in the car with me starts freaking the fuck out
[01:19:40] And i'm like what's up? They're like, oh yeah, we've got you really didn't do any shrooms
[01:19:45] We think because I guess I kind of had like a lead foot backing out of the space
[01:19:50] And they're thinking oh he's gonna kill us. I'm fucking that's right. We're all going to hell and i'm punching the ticket
[01:19:56] You're coming with me
[01:19:58] So you got something you got something a little special here?
[01:20:01] I do. Oh man. This is another blast from the past. It's
[01:20:05] shock.jpeg time
[01:20:08] And now the moment you've all been waiting for
[01:20:13] shock.jpeg
[01:20:15] Uh, this one is called wet ice cream Brian. Oh no. Oh, this is
[01:20:21] the mind reels
[01:20:24] I was gonna say do you know this one? I don't
[01:20:27] But it it hurts me to think about what what ice cream could be is it is it
[01:20:32] Is it pee pee or is it poo poo? Well, it is definitely one of those two things here. Let's oh excellent
[01:20:37] It could be both
[01:20:38] Uh, it was a flash video but thanks to ruffle big time. Okay. Well we got here what we got what we got
[01:20:45] What we got is gonna be gross
[01:20:48] Yeah, I guess if it's shock.jpeg
[01:20:51] It's by definition
[01:20:52] Here's a young woman, uh eating a fudge ice cream cone and eating another woman's pussy, but but there it goes
[01:21:01] The receiver of the oral sex begins to piss in the other woman's mouth as she's eating the ice cream
[01:21:07] Soaking that ice cream it's like one of those magnum eyes, I think it's like a good bar
[01:21:13] Whoa just
[01:21:15] Pissing everywhere so much. I have blower control problems with the holder
[01:21:19] She's holding it in like that and then the girl that's pissing is like
[01:21:24] Sticking her tongue out like yeah. Yeah, you like that. Yeah. Well, and also the piss like blew off half the so
[01:21:31] So that's the good use of the that cool treat and then and then she's gonna get yeast infection
[01:21:38] Yeah, I know she's rubbing the ice cream. Oh, and then there and then she's inserting the the stick the wooden stick
[01:21:43] a little bit ice cream still on there god, that's
[01:21:46] That's upsetting. Yeah
[01:21:49] It's not cash money to me. It's not cash money. It's continues on for it. It feels like a good long while
[01:21:55] God, this is your minute
[01:21:58] 15 in
[01:22:01] Okay, and again licking wow. Yeah, you're still yeah, you're really getting in there
[01:22:07] The receiver does not look very enthused by this by the way. That's the part that I think is the funniest
[01:22:12] And yes, it comes up with the advertisement for lemon party.org
[01:22:20] Epic chat dot net. Oh, yeah never see a chat so epic. Wow, that was
[01:22:26] No sound on that no sound on that. I thought it had a song originally but I
[01:22:31] Nothing's coming. Yes, you were wrong. Jason. I guess you fucked up. Yeah. Sorry. I'm sorry. You know what?
[01:22:36] I'm sorry. We've been doing this for almost two years now
[01:22:39] Yeah
[01:22:40] And i'm just really wondering when you're gonna get your shit together and get the right fucked up video with with you know
[01:22:45] The fucking hamster dance music or something. I know
[01:22:48] One of these days what what number episode is this 95?
[01:22:52] We're on episode 95 early june will be our 100th episode and I think
[01:22:57] It might be finally time to do dan quinn no intro no crypto just dan quinn all the episode
[01:23:04] What do you think? Yeah, because actually that plays into uh, one of the things I wanted to talk about
[01:23:09] Excellent for uh the breath mint. All right. Well, let's go ahead and do that thing then let's hit the intro
[01:23:15] It's time for your mom's favorite part of the show. It's time for the breath mint
[01:23:22] All right, it's breathman time brian
[01:23:24] Lots of live music to talk about yeah, but i'll start off here first with the dan quinn related
[01:23:30] Uh dealio because uh, well you were also at this show. Um, you were also at death cab for q e and
[01:23:37] Postal service and and apparently everyone our age was there and having a moment
[01:23:42] Yeah, as I was telling another photographer, uh, neither one of these albums were really big for me
[01:23:46] They were a lot of uh, they were very big for many people I made out with right in the 2000s
[01:23:53] Uh, so i'll uh, you know cheers to that. Yeah for sure. Um, enabling a lot of great makeouts those two records
[01:23:59] Yes
[01:23:59] Yeah
[01:24:00] That's the death cab for qt album transaline
[01:24:02] It says i'm and the postal service is one and only album to give up by the way just for that was the 20th
[01:24:06] Anniversary for both of those. Yes
[01:24:09] That's staggering to think that those were released the same year. That's is fucking wild, but um, I thought death cab was good
[01:24:16] Again, not big death cab fan. This i've photographed them before
[01:24:20] Like I was like, oh yeah, these are great songs and I understand why this album is important
[01:24:25] I feel like that sound has been reiterated on so much that it's kind of lost its polish
[01:24:31] Yeah, I i'm sure when I like first heard that record like in 2005. I'm sure I was like, oh shit
[01:24:37] Yeah, pretty wild one of the first big indie post 9 11 records that hit in a way that some people felt really
[01:24:45] Strongly about and the whole record is about you know growing up and kind of
[01:24:51] Not being in your 20s anymore
[01:24:53] Yeah, I'm feeling weird and fucked about things and and yeah like a good record but a good live show as well
[01:24:58] I really was really impressed the fact that they managed to make
[01:25:02] 20 year old material still sound good live. Yeah, which I don't always think is
[01:25:07] necessarily possible like some
[01:25:09] Time has passed you've kind of lost your connection with the material or but it hit. Oh, yeah
[01:25:15] It hit but the the dan quinn thing was it like I was getting ready for that show and I was thinking about the video
[01:25:20] of dan quinn
[01:25:22] In the fucking stand-up tanning booth
[01:25:25] And he's like talking some shit to like dada 5000 or you know what video i'm talking about, right?
[01:25:31] There's one where he's like talking some crazy shit to like dada 5000
[01:25:35] He's got the he's got the goggles on I can see it in my mind's eye and a fucking death cat for cutie songs
[01:25:40] playing in the background
[01:25:43] from that
[01:25:45] I don't think it's from transatlanticism. It's uh, I've got some time on you. Oh from from narrow stairs
[01:25:52] Yeah, yeah, I will possess your heart. Yeah, I'll possess your heart. Yeah was just like so weird
[01:25:56] He's like talking shit to like, uh
[01:25:59] Some ufc wrestlers ufc fighters and that song's playing in the background. It's so fucking weird
[01:26:05] He's got the goggles his suntan goggles on
[01:26:09] I
[01:26:10] Can see it. Yeah
[01:26:12] Standing up in a tanning, but yeah, it's ridiculous. So fucking good. But um, absolutely
[01:26:16] But postal service man, I think that's where the money was at
[01:26:19] Yeah, and that's always where the money's been at. I mean you and I saw them at l'alma pelouse
[01:26:24] 10 years ago. Yeah, like nothing's changed. They're tight as ever. Uh, jenny lewis was at both of them which
[01:26:30] Still surprised me. Yeah, she's got her own solo career. It's going pretty well. She just finished the the tour, right?
[01:26:37] That's what I thought like well, okay, she's gonna take a break. She's not gonna go on tour with postal service
[01:26:41] They're gonna have a ringer
[01:26:43] You know, I mean like they're gonna have some sound alike that's gonna be up there
[01:26:46] So I messaged you like what's the over under on jenny lewis appearing and you go no, no, she's here
[01:26:51] Yeah, because I already heard oh like it well because like I was talking with some like not live nation people
[01:26:56] They were in the press area
[01:26:58] And they're like, oh, yeah, she's here like we saw her. She's looking great. And i'm like, okay cool
[01:27:03] Fucking hey man stevie nicks dress and all like yeah
[01:27:08] Playing uh, it was really cool looking telecaster deluxe with like a
[01:27:12] Fellon blue glitter finish with the matching headstock and like all I could see was it reflecting the stage lights back at me
[01:27:19] Yeah, I was sitting i'm i'm up in the nose. Uh, yeah, that's what I can afford but yeah, um
[01:27:26] Great show though. Just absolutely absolutely great show
[01:27:29] Um, I didn't stay all the way through postal service as much as I wanted to because I was fucking getting tired
[01:27:34] Well, yeah, I mean that happened. Um
[01:27:36] Well, like my
[01:27:38] I because i'm at the gym all the time
[01:27:42] My shoulders are just really fucking just not up for holding up a camera bag right now
[01:27:47] Like it actually happened at the slow dive show. Oh, yeah
[01:27:51] where i'm trying to photograph slow dive and like my shoulders and like
[01:27:55] Yeah, i'm having a hard time keeping a camera up to my face and the camera does not weigh much
[01:28:00] No, but you're working it. So yeah, you've kind of you've got yeah
[01:28:04] Fatigue thing going on but yeah, it was nice to hang with you at the slow dive show because boy
[01:28:08] um
[01:28:09] Like you said the guy watching hockey and we got burke talking about you know
[01:28:13] Other shows that are coming up and kendrick's dropping a fucking district like just all this shit's happening at once while we're there
[01:28:19] To see a band that's never played st. Louis. Yeah sold out show. Yeah, fantastic
[01:28:23] Fantastic show so fucking good and honestly I knew maybe three slow dive songs
[01:28:28] But I knew enough that like this is historic these sylvaki space station when the sun hits, you know
[01:28:35] and like um
[01:28:36] I don't know. I think one of the things that really hits home about
[01:28:39] Them reforming and coming out with this new material is like they fucking made good on it
[01:28:44] Yeah, there's a lot of bands that got back together for coachella or some shit and it just sucks
[01:28:50] They avoided all that slow dive did
[01:28:53] and managed to
[01:28:55] Just put on a hell of a show I remember refuse came out with a new record
[01:28:59] Yeah, and I was like man fuck this. Yeah. Yeah the new slow dive stuff
[01:29:04] Some people are like, oh, it's it's not that good. I'm like, man
[01:29:07] It's like listenable and like it feels right
[01:29:10] It feels like a continuation of what they were doing before feels like they didn't skip a beat
[01:29:15] Yeah, this is this is what we're doing
[01:29:16] Whereas like if I had to sit next to frank black on a plane i'd be like man fuck
[01:29:21] Yeah, I don't know that I would just I put my you know headphones on and just like yeah nice to meet you
[01:29:27] I'm over. Yeah
[01:29:29] Oh, yeah, because like I if I met you 20 years ago, i'd be losing my shit
[01:29:33] But yeah, well
[01:29:35] I mean I say in my review is there's so many bands that had this cult-like status
[01:29:41] In the 90s, you know after they broke up right into the 2000s and then they get back together
[01:29:46] You're like, oh, this is really tight and then they start coming out with new stuff
[01:29:49] And you're like this fucking sucks
[01:29:51] Yeah
[01:29:51] and the I mean
[01:29:53] I don't think any band has ruined their reputation more than the pixies because I mean 20 years ago the pixies were like
[01:30:00] Godlike unimpeachable. Yeah, couldn't touch them
[01:30:03] And now if I see the pixies on a fucking lamp for a festival i'm like fuck man
[01:30:07] Really? We're doing this shit. Skip it. I'd rather sit through another fucking girl talk set
[01:30:12] No, girl talk sets are great because they're at least high energy. Sure
[01:30:17] But at the very least
[01:30:19] but it's like another thing that was like done to the fucking ground because I remember mashups, yeah, because I remember there was um
[01:30:25] That one year aloo fest where like the two headliners were uh
[01:30:29] um
[01:30:30] Girl talk and I think it was girl talk and um playing with those fucking republicans
[01:30:36] I've heard weird shit about that dude that dude waynes like yeah thoughts about the world
[01:30:41] Yeah, and he he sounds like a fox news kind of guy it's a pretty I mean
[01:30:45] I'm sure he was a q anon dude. It wouldn't surprise me
[01:30:48] But give him credit for one thing is that uh, he did a record with myla Cyrus
[01:30:53] And it's probably the best thing she's ever done. Anyway, uh myla Cyrus and her dead pets
[01:30:57] Yeah, I'll I guess i'll have to give that a half ass listen
[01:31:01] but yeah, I remember it was like one night the headliner was uh
[01:31:06] Them and the next night I think the headliner was girl talk
[01:31:08] I remember this thing like wow, they just don't really think shit about us
[01:31:13] I don't know about that because because that well, I mean that used to be the joke
[01:31:17] I felt like the flaming lips was like real fucking low bar stuff up for us to like like this is really fucking
[01:31:24] There's no imagination and liking the flaming lips in my opinion. That's like saying you like ice cream
[01:31:29] Everyone likes fucking ice cream. You're not fucking special
[01:31:32] Oh, we're really like because it's like saying you like pink floyd. Yeah
[01:31:35] Yeah, it's just like
[01:31:37] Like we could be a little bit more interesting than this
[01:31:40] Sure
[01:31:40] Same thing with girl talk is like wow because there was actually a couple years of lou fest where they actually booked really adventurous schedules
[01:31:47] Our real adventurous lineups and we didn't really show up
[01:31:51] So the last year that that conglomerate or that group of people were heading lou fest
[01:31:55] I think they're just like fuck it. Well if they want fucking garbage, we'll give them garbage
[01:31:59] Here's your flaming lips and your girl talk
[01:32:01] And I kind of felt like it was like here piggies. Enjoy your slop
[01:32:05] Yeah, we tried booking really cool shit like das racist and all that and the magnetic fields and you guys couldn't show up
[01:32:12] So and we can't even get jeff tweety to like give a shit
[01:32:16] It's hard to imagine what you can do to get jeff tweety
[01:32:20] Well inside baseball is that um, the reason why?
[01:32:24] The first year of lou fest it was just jeff tweety and not wilco
[01:32:29] is because
[01:32:31] Apparently the guys who started lou fest were such fucking pains in the ass
[01:32:35] That he's like i'm not gonna put like my rogue crew and the whole entire band through this
[01:32:41] So he just played solo. Yeah here i'll just be me in the acoustic guitar. Wow
[01:32:46] But anyways, yeah slow dive was fucking great. It was such a great show now that would have been a show to do psychedelics at
[01:32:53] I gotta tell you. Yeah sound wise just god just really
[01:32:57] I mean that last song they played which was golden hair, which is a sid barrett cover
[01:33:02] Yeah, I just remember like feeling like my stomach tense up like I was on a roller coaster
[01:33:07] And then it was like over and i'm like, wow
[01:33:11] Like when you step on land after you've been on a boat for a while
[01:33:15] Yeah, no, I had that exact same
[01:33:17] Like i'm walking out to the parking lot with you and going like wow. Yeah, it was a real tour of the force
[01:33:24] The opener grab majesty were a lot of fun
[01:33:27] and then
[01:33:29] Gosh so much music to talk about slow dive
[01:33:32] I saw portugal the man. Yeah, how was that? That was great. I mean they're always great
[01:33:36] i've seen portugal man live like five or six times and um
[01:33:40] They played some of their new stuff, which is okay, but they played a lot of stuff from evil friends
[01:33:46] Their 2013 release which I think is probably one of the most underrated records of that decade
[01:33:52] I remember it not getting well reviewed
[01:33:55] It's actually probably one of the few records that danger mouse has produced. It's actually good
[01:34:00] I think that guy has made a lot of crap records
[01:34:02] But I think it's probably his only like really great record
[01:34:05] but evil friends is one of those records where like everyone fucking hated it
[01:34:11] But it's like a 12 track record and like 10 of them are fucking singles
[01:34:16] Okay, like it's just like oh wow. This is a fucking amazing record
[01:34:20] Everyone fucking hated it. But now that everyone sees what else they've made since then they're like, oh, yeah, this was pretty
[01:34:26] because
[01:34:27] The record that had feel it's still on yeah, like it's fine. It's not a bad record
[01:34:31] But there's no second single and that used to I remember actually when that song fucking blew up
[01:34:36] The day job I had at the time were like this guy's wow. What's his band called portugal man? Fuck man
[01:34:41] It's crazy. I'm like, yeah
[01:34:42] Actually, it's funny that this song is everywhere because last time I saw them play
[01:34:46] It was at the pageant and I don't even think there was 300 people and he's whoa. That's painful
[01:34:50] Oh, man, that's crazy. And i'm like, yeah like and it was behind a record. That's nothing but singles
[01:34:56] It's like really i'm like and there's no second single on this record
[01:34:59] There's no fucking second single and they try to make a song a second single the best they could it was fine
[01:35:06] But it was like you go back and you look at evil friends and you're just like wow
[01:35:10] Yeah, this is front the back a fucking amazing record, but they put on a great show
[01:35:15] I'm glad they finally got the audience that they deserve
[01:35:17] I don't think it was sold out. It was pretty close. Um
[01:35:21] By a good time now you weren't shooting that one. That was just no I I I was like
[01:35:25] Well, I photographed this many times and they always have really tough lighting
[01:35:28] But then they didn't have anyone in the photo pit
[01:35:31] Oh no, except for like their people
[01:35:34] I was like, oh, I maybe I should go
[01:35:36] Photo pass and they actually had like good light for the first three songs. Like fuck
[01:35:40] Yeah, because one time
[01:35:42] Because different times there's the times I photographed porch on demand and it was like I had like three foes that were good
[01:35:47] Because the light was just so weird and so tough and yeah the singer he likes he likes
[01:35:53] He used to like wearing like ponchos and shit like rain ponchos with like the hood up
[01:35:57] And then he's got a mustang you got the weird light. So he just was like a weird blob in half your photos and
[01:36:02] But they were great. Like it was such a good show
[01:36:05] the opener
[01:36:07] Was this little latina lady? Let me get her name
[01:36:12] Uh, her name was rihanna tropical
[01:36:16] Okay, and she played some really cool like like latin rock type riffs like over some very interesting beats
[01:36:23] Kind of remind me of tommy. Guerrero
[01:36:25] Um who was a former pro skateboarder who said he wanted to make fucking chill ass music. Yeah
[01:36:31] um, but it was kind of funny
[01:36:34] because uh, she was like a very like fiery horny lesbian latina and
[01:36:41] She was talking about how like the tour has been in the south for a couple days and like they don't really like that out there
[01:36:48] Oh, she's like it was like the first she's like it's like she's like, you know kind of ironic
[01:36:53] the
[01:36:54] The further north I get as a brown woman like the more like accepting the crowds are
[01:37:00] um
[01:37:02] And she was like saying a bunch of stuff in spanish and there were like some like ladies in the crowd
[01:37:07] That I guess knew some spanish because they were like hollering that's what they were hollering all about the sex
[01:37:14] All right. I was I was like this is this is like
[01:37:17] I had no expectations for this performance. I'm having a great time
[01:37:21] Like she's like she's having a great time on stage like
[01:37:25] It was so much fucking fun. Like that was such a great little show and then
[01:37:29] To have death cat for qt and all that. Um the next night
[01:37:32] Which has been nice little week enjoying my unemployment seeing lots of live music photographing it. Yeah, um got time now
[01:37:40] Well, hopefully not too much time. Yeah, i'm gonna wood for you man
[01:37:43] Uh, but yeah, I got swans tomorrow night. Oh, yeah ready for swans and ready to be punished
[01:37:49] Ready for the arlo clement going to a dentist who doesn't care if it hurts
[01:37:55] No gas
[01:37:57] um
[01:37:58] I'm wearing my earplugs and uh d was so kind to let me borrow her, uh over ear protection that she uses at the
[01:38:05] At the range
[01:38:07] Which are like a very like
[01:38:09] muted hot pink
[01:38:11] Hell, yeah, so i'm sure i'm sure michael gira is gonna love that. Here's a photographer wearing
[01:38:18] wearing
[01:38:19] Over the ear
[01:38:22] Yeah
[01:38:23] This serious guy he's gonna be wearing like a western shirt sitting on a chair
[01:38:27] Yeah, well everyone's making like fucking tom weights and hell sounds with their instruments. He's gonna see you and flip the fuck out
[01:38:35] No fucking it's gonna it's gonna be like the firebird all over again
[01:38:39] Yeah, where I moved his amp case the road case for his amp
[01:38:44] And didn't know and didn't didn't see his stage plot
[01:38:46] I don't think this was in the stage plot probably and got like really annoyed with me for about 20 seconds
[01:38:51] And it was really like I felt like I was a little kid again. I'm like, oh shit. I'm sorry. Yeah. I'm sorry, man
[01:38:57] I'll do better. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, man. I'll do better. Please don't take my dog. Please don't take my
[01:39:03] Right bart
[01:39:04] You can have your frog back
[01:39:09] Well, how old is that fucking reference almost 30 years
[01:39:13] I was gonna say yeah, jesus what you got what you got homeboy. I really only have the one thing
[01:39:17] I've been bouncing between video games trying to find
[01:39:20] The new one i'm still slowly going at the yakuza infinite money, but
[01:39:27] In true yakuza fashion. It's very slow going and I keep getting sidetracked
[01:39:31] But other things I started up tunic which is the may
[01:39:35] free game on ps plus
[01:39:37] Uh bounced around a little bit in fallout 4 after seeing the fallout show like is fallout 4 really that bad fallout 4?
[01:39:44] Yeah, it kind of is
[01:39:46] You can definitely it definitely can have fun. Yeah
[01:39:49] But it's no new vagueness fine, but you know, I started up a fallout 3 save
[01:39:54] And i'm just kind of bouncing around trying to find the
[01:39:57] The sweet spot
[01:39:58] Tunic is real fun tunic is this kind of
[01:40:02] isometric
[01:40:03] faux 3d
[01:40:06] Zelda like experience
[01:40:09] You play as a little fox who's wandering he's just going around the map doing stuff
[01:40:13] But again, i haven't really played all that much of it. So I can't really tell you much about that. I
[01:40:18] Bought but haven't played animal well, which is the new game by video game dunkey's production company
[01:40:25] Big mode that came out today. I've heard good things about that, but no not not a lot
[01:40:31] I've been rewatching firefly with the kids to the guy teach them how to get stuff in the lockers
[01:40:38] They seem disinterested in it which is a damn shame like good for them maybe they'll go do something with their life
[01:40:44] And um
[01:40:46] I'm just gonna walk right past that because you know what that's least you least you can get them on battle star galactica
[01:40:50] Not yet
[01:40:52] But the other thing i've resident alien season 3 dropped and so i'm i'm watching that in bits and pieces
[01:40:58] but man
[01:40:59] I kind of feel like that show peaked in season 2 and and we're just kind of on the downhill swing
[01:41:04] Even like linda hamilton showing up as a meaty kind of roll
[01:41:08] Can't really save it alan toedik the one through line between firefly and
[01:41:14] Resident alien is great as always but I mean he's not always on screen and so
[01:41:21] Where's poochie
[01:41:22] No, that's exactly what's happening every time there's a scene where uh where harry vanderspiegel that is not on screen
[01:41:29] I'm saying where is harry but the the neat little through line is also
[01:41:35] There's a minor character who shows up for like three or four episodes
[01:41:40] And she's another type of alien who's like bird based
[01:41:44] And it's played by
[01:41:46] The lady who plays judy
[01:41:49] in the righteous gemstones
[01:41:52] Like alan toedik and her having just unimaginable amount of scenes together
[01:41:57] It's just I mean that that sounds good that sells it but then she's just like gone from the show
[01:42:03] I'm like well, I had my fun now wins this over
[01:42:08] It's fine it's not bad I think the first two seasons like I said are probably some of the best
[01:42:13] That they've done it's based on a comic which has its limitations because they can't really go beyond the scope of it
[01:42:19] It's like what if an alien landed in northern exposure?
[01:42:24] I mean, that's essentially the concept of the show. There is some neat stuff in the third season where they focus on
[01:42:30] This woman asta who's been a mainstay in the show
[01:42:34] But she's a she's a native woman and she gave her daughter up for adoption
[01:42:39] But now kind of wants to be her friend now that the daughter is like of college age
[01:42:43] Um, so that's cool. I kind of hang out with some of the native people for parts of those episodes
[01:42:49] There's some stuff there. That's neat
[01:42:51] it's just
[01:42:53] It's missing something and they had it for a minute when they brought in judy from righteous gemstones
[01:42:58] And then they wrote her out of their show. It was like, okay
[01:43:01] Well now what I think part of it is also that I really want to watch
[01:43:05] Three-body problem and so this was my concession to my wife
[01:43:10] We trade off I picked one you pick one
[01:43:12] I've and this was the one that she picked because she is a big fan of alan toadick and so am I
[01:43:18] And so like okay, this is one we can agree on
[01:43:21] But yeah, i'm kind of you know, we're six episodes in and i'm checking my watch every time plencom's song not good
[01:43:27] But you know, I'd like the show overall. It's just you uh, you watched uh,
[01:43:32] X-men 97 I have not watched x-men 97 yet. I've heard nothing but good things from many many people. How about yourself?
[01:43:37] I uh, yeah, i've been watching it. So surprisingly fucking good. Yeah. Yeah, I was really
[01:43:44] Impressed how like the first two episodes really hit the cheese and the nostalgia
[01:43:50] And they really think I really think oh this is gonna be fucking terrible
[01:43:52] This is maybe just and then it kind of like flips it on its ear and it's like oh wow
[01:43:56] This is uh, this is interesting and
[01:43:59] Apparently some callbacks to the original 90s fox
[01:44:03] Series, but they got a lot of the original voice actors back
[01:44:07] It's got a compelling story. It's the best thing that in the that marvel has done in a couple years
[01:44:14] Let's put it like that last thing before we wrap it up. Oh, yeah, please I did watch the iron claw
[01:44:19] Oh, what did you think of the iron claw? Did you watch it? I have not I think it's a really interesting
[01:44:26] Movie it's really well shot. It doesn't feel like Oscar vape, but it I think it is. I don't know. Yeah, I kind of
[01:44:33] it's very
[01:44:34] For what I know about the von erich's it's um
[01:44:38] Seems pretty accurate
[01:44:40] It's just a fucking devastating story about basically a family where the father thinks that there's a curse
[01:44:46] But the curse is really him being a huge piece of shit
[01:44:50] Oh, that's like the no the curse is you is like what you put your children through
[01:44:55] Oh, man. Yeah, it's really fucking depressing. It's told through the pov of kevin von erich
[01:45:01] Which is spoiler alert the only von erich son that like survives
[01:45:06] It's just fucking depressing. It's really good though. Um, the only thing that sucks
[01:45:11] Is that the guy they got to play rick flair does not
[01:45:15] Oh, no fucking mojo is one of the worst performances i've ever seen in any movie. Oh, no
[01:45:20] Of all the people that oh
[01:45:23] The nature boy you couldn't get somebody good. Yeah
[01:45:27] is
[01:45:29] Really bad
[01:45:30] Um, it's a bummer but there are like, you know a couple references to like the wrestling scene here in st
[01:45:35] Louis and missouri which is kind of neat like yeah because like nwa was and uh wrestling at the chase in the 80s
[01:45:42] um
[01:45:43] Yeah, it's surprisingly like well made that really is a gut punch
[01:45:50] and again
[01:45:51] This whole entire family curse is really just like their father being a huge fucking piece of shit
[01:45:56] Like putting all this pressure on his kids
[01:45:59] I definitely want to see this now because I I know from the trailers and stuff that it had
[01:46:05] The vibe of aronofsky's the wrestler
[01:46:07] Grimy lived in vibe again just from me seeing the trailer and hearing about it from other people
[01:46:13] Versa millitude is the word I was looking for. Yeah
[01:46:16] Is that accurate? I mean would you say?
[01:46:19] It's not like i'm trying to be rec room for a dream but for wrestling like no wrestler is no
[01:46:24] it's very much trying to
[01:46:26] Tell a straight story. Okay, try and tell an honest story
[01:46:30] and from what I know a
[01:46:32] some of the stuff that's changed is just because
[01:46:35] Like there's one son that isn't in the movie that exists in real life
[01:46:39] Just because like his life was also fucked but it's like the movie could not take the weight
[01:46:45] Of another fucking fucking miserable sad story of another person's life the load of misery was too high
[01:46:51] Yeah, like we're just gonna like we're just gonna act like that person doesn't exist
[01:46:55] Unfortunately, just because the movie it would just make the movie like
[01:46:59] There'd be people killing themselves in the theater. Basically be such a bummer. She's
[01:47:04] But it's well shot. Yeah, and all the performances are really really good
[01:47:09] Jeremy allen white is great. Um, zack effron's fantastic
[01:47:13] Okay, jeremy allen white. Yeah, he's the one that I heard all the rave reviews about. Yeah
[01:47:17] Yeah, it's just just a lot of strong performances. You said an effron. What is that?
[01:47:23] Efron's kevin von eric. Oh, okay. All right. Well, let's see now that between the two of them
[01:47:28] I'm more intrigued now that yeah, it's it's not like in the movie has a good pace to it
[01:47:33] So it doesn't overstay its welcome
[01:47:35] But I really liked it
[01:47:37] I would tell people to go watch that even if you don't like wrestling because
[01:47:40] You don't really have to be like a big wrestling person to enjoy it. Yeah, because it's more about a family
[01:47:46] Yeah, there's lots of stuff about the business
[01:47:49] but it's really more about like
[01:47:51] The way the business is and their father unable to like be a good person in it
[01:47:56] Yeah, like what the business does to people. Yeah, because like it doesn't ever i've never really got impression that the
[01:48:03] The business ever really negatively affected
[01:48:06] The children like it did their father
[01:48:08] They were just happy to do it
[01:48:10] But like he had to push them to success which
[01:48:13] Caused some sons to have like seizures and basically like be like functionally like for the rest of their life
[01:48:20] She's and and is like one of those things where um
[01:48:24] If you try to raise your children like that today someone would either fucking should blow your brains out or you should be in prison
[01:48:30] I
[01:48:32] Damn over wrestling over rest. It's not even like yo, we're trying to cure cancer here. Right kevin von erik. Yeah, this is wrestling. Yeah
[01:48:41] What what if the iron claw was about
[01:48:46] It's about one man driving his children like suicide
[01:48:52] Yeah fucking he didn't synthesize the proteins from the sea slug, right
[01:48:56] Right
[01:49:00] Well on that note, I think it's time to wrap up the show brian jesus fucking
[01:49:04] Jesus fucking pissing shit
[01:49:07] It's that time of the show where we tell you where to find us on the old
[01:49:11] Internet brian why don't you go ahead and tell him where you are?
[01:49:13] Gosh, if you want please don't trip report. Yeah one beer
[01:49:20] Trip duration two and a half hours
[01:49:23] One beer, uh, anyways, uh if you want to harass me on airing that
[01:49:28] Uh, you can find me on most social media platforms either as ishaki the board is hot gyd brd
[01:49:36] Or a music photographer mostly on instagram and a couple other platforms
[01:49:41] But if you want to look at my music foes, uh, you can go over to asshole music photographer.com
[01:49:46] You want to take a look at some foes with words you can go over to a
[01:49:51] Music photographer.com guess what motherfucker? What's that? I got that maddie dies piece up
[01:49:58] That's right, baby, yeah almost two months after the show i'm sure she appreciates it
[01:50:04] Yeah, well after fucking uh south it was southwestern delta destroyed
[01:50:08] Oh, yeah
[01:50:09] The d20 the d28 martin guitar her father gave her for high school graduation and she's only a little bit younger than me
[01:50:16] Or the same age we were born the same year
[01:50:18] Yeah, because the tour that she's on for her album weird faith is gone has ended she was now by the time I post this
[01:50:26] Was in uk for a tour with someone else a solo tour
[01:50:30] and um
[01:50:32] Yeah, the fucking on the way over it was and the thing is like it was in a fucking
[01:50:37] Hardcore fucking flight case. It wasn't like in like the metal hinge ones that you see like amps
[01:50:43] But it was like in a fucking skb dsa rated case
[01:50:47] Big boys, yeah, yeah real solid it's really hard to fucking but it looked like almost like someone fucking purposely damaged her her guitar
[01:50:54] Like it's it's fucking insane
[01:50:56] Uh, thankfully delta is is gonna make it right as far as that
[01:51:01] Wherever the airline is is going I think I came over southwestern delta. I think it might be delta
[01:51:05] Um, they're gonna make it right. But I mean, how can you replace a guitar that has
[01:51:10] No, those no
[01:51:12] Guitar that she's apparently written so much of her work on and it's been through all these periods of her life
[01:51:18] And now she'll never write another song on it. Like that's just
[01:51:21] This is a fucking bummer. But anyways, that shit's up there. Okay

[01:51:43] Uh, ether in chief big honcho jason greens taking care of the words on that
[01:51:48] And you know, he's a big old adult with like kids and shit
[01:51:50] So it might take him a second and that's completely understandable to do his side
[01:51:54] But my foes are almost done and then
[01:51:57] Maybe if you're really fucking lucky with all the fucking moving stuff we've got going on trying to pick out appliances and shit
[01:52:05] Maybe i'll have swans up by then over there on the arts stl. We'll see we'll see if michael gira
[01:52:15] If he deigns to michael gira is really the kind of guy that would come into your house and open up the fridge
