[00:00:18] 48 Minutes of Dogs Barking.

[00:00:29] Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop

[00:00:34] Grrrowl!

[00:00:34] Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop Whoop

[00:00:38] Grrrowl

[00:00:40] 48 Minutes of dogs barking. 48 Minutes of dog

[00:00:45] Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

[00:00:51] You saying so and like all the pussy?

[00:00:54] And you're laughing?

[00:00:55] I am Murray.

[00:00:58] yes uh welcome to 48 minutes dogs barking my name is jason this is brian

[00:01:01] and apparently i'm going through puberty again that's fun you caught it right there

[00:01:06] i dropped your taco in the fryer

[00:01:11] every day every day i get this squeaky voice teen i really do it's very sad yeah i mean my voice still

[00:01:18] cracks too does it yeah like i'll be at work and i'll like get on we talk on walkie-talkies

[00:01:23] and i'll get on the walkie-talkie and be like hey can you guys go do this thing hey can you guys go

[00:01:30] do this thing right like over correct and you try they'll be sitting there with my supervisor

[00:01:35] and she'll be like side-eyeing me like the fuck

[00:01:39] i love this now i just like lean into it like hey rick oh geez oh geez this warehouse is all

[00:01:47] messed up geez what talk are you gonna be putting that one in all right yeah all right one lane

[00:01:57] okay well oh well it has been as always a very strange week it's never not strange it never is

[00:02:04] not i tell you it's always painful the what's hot classic this week that's what i'm calling this

[00:02:10] segment until i i can figure out something better it um is that like being a hot wife a little bit

[00:02:15] a little bit but just for the internet this week hurricane helene battering the living shit out

[00:02:21] there on the east coast and uh marjorie taylor green the brain trust of all the brain the brain genius

[00:02:28] the stable genius of the new right yeah congresswoman for georgia's 14th district

[00:02:34] yes they can control the weather it's ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can't be done now

[00:02:43] how's a real oh what's going on with me i'm dying over here join the club brother

[00:02:49] as his reflexes go on yeah oh oh geez so i was talking to you before we were recording and you're

[00:02:56] bringing up this is one of the things you want to touch and i go if they can really control the

[00:03:00] weather uh-huh why are they always complaining about the humidity my point exactly yes you see yes

[00:03:06] there was a whole novelty song in the 90s you remember this two live jews yes oh it's so human

[00:03:22] not our greatest moment in cultural sensitivity as an american but uh of course readers adding

[00:03:29] context on twitter via the community notes app saying that besides cloud seeding yeah you can't

[00:03:35] really do that it's just of course we know what they means in this context and we know about you know

[00:03:41] what controlling the weather a lot of people responding with things like yours is a special

[00:03:46] kind of stupid as a meteorologist i need to hear more so my personal favorite response though was pat

[00:03:54] noswald in a quote tweet saying this is so offensive and untrue at mel brooks please send a

[00:04:01] thunderstorm to wreck her house

[00:04:05] fucking do it yeah i said bucket list trimmer at jrp461

[00:04:09] i thought it was max brooks who controlled weather and mel brooks who keeps the martians

[00:04:14] under wraps you see you got to get the separation of powers correct there in the brooks family

[00:04:18] first it's the jewish space lasers

[00:04:22] then it's just anti-semitism is like a brain virus

[00:04:26] it goes in such it's a spiral

[00:04:29] yeah it's one of those things where like um like mtg she may not like marjorie tyler green she's come out

[00:04:36] against the war in israel but unfortunately not for the reasons

[00:04:41] it's like it's like oh like like i remember first like oh she's she's spoken out against the war uh

[00:04:48] and uh gaza i'm like huh and then i kind of sunk like no

[00:04:52] no no it's not gonna no it's it's like a don't open dead dove

[00:04:57] yeah i don't know what i expected

[00:04:59] i don't know what i expected

[00:05:00] you're on the right side for the wrong reasons

[00:05:02] i i don't know if i want to take you as one of

[00:05:06] was one of us

[00:05:07] yeah uh

[00:05:08] this is a rough ass thing

[00:05:10] and uh

[00:05:10] it's so damn weird

[00:05:12] she's such a weirdo

[00:05:14] she's gonna start saying like uh

[00:05:15] that jewish people have tails and

[00:05:17] you know like bring back bring back like some old school anti-semitism

[00:05:23] start kind of crossbreeding it with the david ike lizard people

[00:05:26] maybe you got something going yeah

[00:05:27] i don't know what

[00:05:28] if a jewish person sleeps in a bed of straw

[00:05:31] they wake up with a hair lip

[00:05:35] it was just something really absurd

[00:05:37] really yeah

[00:05:37] well i mean at this point you're just throwing stuff at the wall yeah

[00:05:40] oh yeah they control the weather sure

[00:05:42] if you throw a coin off a cliff a jewish man will follow it off

[00:05:44] like a lemming

[00:05:45] you know like just like something weird you're like huh

[00:05:47] if you throw a bunch of rice on the ground they have to stop and count each individual brain

[00:05:51] you throw a bunch of pennies on the ground

[00:05:53] come on jace

[00:05:54] stick with the program

[00:05:55] that's true

[00:05:56] yeah you can't

[00:05:56] they can't cross a river

[00:05:58] uh you know that kind of thing

[00:05:59] it's just

[00:06:00] so many things wrong with every single part of that sentence

[00:06:02] it's just so bizarre

[00:06:03] what the fuck

[00:06:04] that's a

[00:06:04] that's an elected official

[00:06:06] yeah

[00:06:07] people in georgia have not only elected her but re-elected her

[00:06:11] if it was a one and done

[00:06:12] i'd be like oh well okay

[00:06:14] yeah

[00:06:15] yeah

[00:06:15] all right

[00:06:15] you get one

[00:06:16] but she's in like get part like never gonna leave

[00:06:18] yeah

[00:06:19] i have that feeling yeah

[00:06:20] it's her and uh

[00:06:21] kristen cinema

[00:06:22] and a couple of those other ones

[00:06:24] those wackadoos

[00:06:25] they're not going anywhere

[00:06:26] they've got their hands stuck in

[00:06:27] in the congressional vending machine

[00:06:29] won't let go

[00:06:30] of the pudding pop

[00:06:32] they are

[00:06:33] holding on for dear life

[00:06:34] well speaking of holding on for dear life

[00:06:36] ai is trying to

[00:06:38] hold on for dear life

[00:06:39] as people continue to make bullshit out of it

[00:06:42] the end of tech

[00:06:43] not the least of which this week was a uh

[00:06:46] a gentleman

[00:06:47] creating an ai version

[00:06:49] a shot for shot remake

[00:06:50] of the princess mononoke

[00:06:52] trailer

[00:06:53] this year according to the rap

[00:06:55] the ai generated remake

[00:06:57] was created by ai entrepreneur pj asaturo

[00:07:00] combining ai generated cgi shots that match the film

[00:07:04] the result is quote a crime

[00:07:08] that turns a 15 year old japanese girl into a white woman

[00:07:11] with a smoky eye and bikini tan lines

[00:07:14] and is enough for me to think

[00:07:16] we should bring back tarring and feathering

[00:07:18] said literary agent roman panganiban

[00:07:22] roman panganiban i am with you

[00:07:24] this looks god awful

[00:07:26] uh is it weird to me

[00:07:28] that the ai spat out what looks like jenny ortega

[00:07:32] as

[00:07:33] yeah

[00:07:34] as mononoke

[00:07:35] it's it's really

[00:07:36] strange and i guess there's like a deep irony here

[00:07:39] mm-hmm

[00:07:41] because isn't princess mononoke like a part

[00:07:43] isn't about like uh the destruction of the environment

[00:07:46] and like how that

[00:07:47] it's about like capitalism

[00:07:48] uh raping you know mother gaia

[00:07:51] so you're using ai which is this

[00:07:53] energy inefficient

[00:07:55] mm-hmm

[00:07:55] process

[00:07:57] to then bastardize something that

[00:08:00] you know hundreds of thousands of people over the world

[00:08:02] probably hold precious

[00:08:03] in some way

[00:08:05] yeah

[00:08:05] meazaki himself has stated according to this rap article

[00:08:08] when presented with an example of the use of ai animation quote

[00:08:12] i strongly feel that this is an insult to life itself

[00:08:18] so not only is it against the message of the film but the creator of the film thinks ai itself

[00:08:23] is a insult to life

[00:08:26] it is and as i've only seen princess mononoke once but it was a 4k restoration in the theater a year or so before the pandemic was completely fucking blown away i think that was the same summer that we saw perfect blue at midnight screening and what a nice time for movie going that me and a couple friends had oh yeah and i was blown away i always heard that film was like a top tier fucking deal and pretty much everywhere

[00:08:54] way and like yeah lived up to it boy and the heron just popped on max i'm looking forward to

[00:08:59] watching that at some point yeah we saw that this summer and it was delightful and if this is again

[00:09:04] supposedly minazaki's final movie we'll see because he keeps coming back to do another one

[00:09:08] like you thought i was gone but uh here's the wind also rises but it looks but anyways it looks

[00:09:13] awful the mouth movements are terrible it feels soulless yeah and stilted i haven't really been

[00:09:21] keeping up with ed's podcast i've really been keeping up with anyone's podcast right now this

[00:09:25] i got so much going on uh former guest of the show ed zetron's the podcast better offline yeah

[00:09:30] he has made the argument and i don't think he's alone in this that this rush for ai is kind of

[00:09:36] the end of the tech boom because there's like nothing we can't make the phones that much better

[00:09:41] we can't make the tvs that much better right can't make the internet like there's we're going up against

[00:09:47] the limits of this era of technology so this is kind of like the last time to get that sweet vc money

[00:09:56] and for people to get their ducats it's a fucking race to the bottom

[00:10:02] yeah well twitter's also on a race to the bottom the other day ken clippenstein friend of the show

[00:10:08] has been banned from twitter now the reason for his ban was whatever post he put out violated the

[00:10:15] rules about posting private information what he did was he published the opposition research that

[00:10:21] the trump campaign did on vice presidential hopeful jd vance this is publicly available information you

[00:10:28] know his education records all that stuff is publicly available elon musk's twitter decided that these two

[00:10:34] tweets both saying here's the dossier and foreign influence operations are a joke and if you think they

[00:10:39] can swing an election you need to take a deep breath which okay i might disagree with you on that one

[00:10:45] there ken but the principle of the thing is the same he published the information that he had

[00:10:49] in the interest of the public good that to me is what journalism is and twitter banned him for it

[00:10:55] banned him for doing a journalism yeah the same week that the head of this platform elon uh musk

[00:11:04] jumped on stage like a fucking oh like a kid with sticky hands

[00:11:12] embarrassing you see you saw that trump looking over his shoulder like the fuck is this and one of

[00:11:19] those few times we're like yeah man i know we're like yeah i'm with you he's right like trump is right

[00:11:24] though what the fuck is this right this fucking he's like he's my this fucking nerd yeah he's all these

[00:11:29] albatross around your neck yeah like he kind of needs him elon is a useful idiot oh absolutely in the

[00:11:36] don't trump told me that i needed to go into the basement and find the uh bacon stretcher

[00:11:43] i've been down there for three weeks i could not find the camera keys to turn all the cameras on i am

[00:11:51] going to be in so much trouble he also said i needed to find the um pasta stretcher

[00:11:58] i could not find the blinker fluid for the car you know i just can't do it you ever had a job where

[00:12:05] you told like someone like young and naive on their first day like hey can you go into the

[00:12:09] building has no basement uh-huh yeah oh yeah well in our high school we did not have a roof

[00:12:14] that was accessible but you'd tell the freshmen that there's oh yeah there's a pool on the roof just

[00:12:20] don't tell anybody about it you know you go up to the fourth floor they'll spend hours searching for

[00:12:24] it uh the keys to the cameras thing that was that was something from the mass communication because

[00:12:29] those tv cameras in the studio they're on those big rolling dollies and so they look like they might

[00:12:36] need a key to start them yeah so you see look for the key dollies aren't aren't fucking they're huge

[00:12:42] because you're supposed to be able to like stand on them and like shift your body weight around

[00:12:45] yeah telling the newbies that they still look for the pasta stretcher it's great fun and i think

[00:12:52] you could keep elon busy for a very long time looking for that because he won't admit that he's wrong

[00:12:57] imagine he told him he had to look for the pig labeled two

[00:13:03] i found pig one and three uh so uh mathematically you said there would be a pig that was also labeled

[00:13:12] two he would do he would just go for it whole hog he huh huh so clippenstein himself

[00:13:21] defends his actions first of all saying you know hey the private information was gathered through

[00:13:27] online records nexus articles news articles active on archived web pages public records and the

[00:13:34] resources of state federal and municipal government offices in other words he says everything was out

[00:13:39] there either readily or for purchase and he also continues on one hand this is a very funny end to my twitter

[00:13:46] journey on the other hand i no longer have access to the primary channel by which i disseminate

[00:13:51] primarily news and shit posts of course to the general public and yeah it's very bad it's a chilling

[00:13:57] effect as it's called and of course this is ken clippenstein he's kind of a known entity it's a

[00:14:02] little different if he was a stringer at some local paper you know what i mean right but this is like a

[00:14:07] guy who has been like he was in the q anon documentary he's written all kinds of cool shit like

[00:14:13] like he is a dude about town if you go to ken clippenstein.com by the way i'll put the link in

[00:14:19] the comments because it can be a little bit difficult to spell if you're not paying attention

[00:14:23] have you looked at the dossier yeah and it's very large it's a lot of stuff it is a six meg pdf file

[00:14:32] not all that large in terms of that type of thing but i mean it's um 271 pages so i haven't read at all

[00:14:38] but you know there's a list of every article he was mentioned in um things about where he lived

[00:14:43] where he's quoted in articles i don't think i've ever seen an oppo file before so this is very

[00:14:48] interesting like the way that the information is put together huh so potential opposition narratives

[00:14:58] top hits meaning that the biggest things that he's done questionable conservatism is one of the

[00:15:03] subheads under top hits election results when he was elected to the senate you've got campaign

[00:15:08] finance documents huh voting records education records public compensation records his military

[00:15:16] record from the marine corps traffic citation yep oh yeah uh is it true that you were moving a load

[00:15:22] that extended past the tailgate of your uh your f-150 without putting a red hanky on the end

[00:15:30] it's it's it's a certain to think that i would i would put the hanky code on my manly vehicle

[00:15:35] here's a 95 speeding ticket in fairborn ohio okay now see they did blank out information about

[00:15:43] his home but how much you paid for it a million dollars you know how much my truck is not in the

[00:15:48] fisting that's what a red hanky means apparently oh okay oh yeah it sure does

[00:15:58] felt a small claims court case against bluebird partners demanding four thousand dollars for rent

[00:16:04] and damages in new haven no legal issues of note he's the owner of two businesses so this all this

[00:16:10] stuff is very factual it's laid out and you know here's the things we could find on what the llc he has

[00:16:16] and and when did he create it and is everything correct the records of his non-profits i mean if

[00:16:21] you really want to dig through this it is really worth going to ken clippenstein.com to me it's

[00:16:25] just interesting the look through an oppo file yeah the way that information is collected and

[00:16:30] it's summarized like it's very neat it really is but uh there's this whole thing about iranian

[00:16:36] malicious actors it doesn't have to be an outside force putting this together because from what i

[00:16:41] understand this was put together by an american against an american this is you

[00:16:46] these are these are documentation things these are just things that you can confirm are true

[00:16:50] you can look it up you can go to pacer you can go to whatever you can pull these lawsuits up you can

[00:16:56] pull these real estate records up this is not anything that can't be found already so to ban someone

[00:17:03] to me is like well i don't know i think it rises to the definition of publicly available

[00:17:09] yeah so and i think it's it's information for the public good yes it is doing a journalism it's not

[00:17:17] really doing anything wrong is it maybe it's wrong in the sense that you feel like it's against your

[00:17:21] guy but like yeah i mean fuck you yeah pretty much the guy that looks like a weird obgyptian red boy

[00:17:29] is it the eyeliner he says he doesn't wear it but i don't buy that for a second someone told me that

[00:17:35] he must he just must have really like defined skin flaps or something i'm like maybe what was he

[00:17:41] like a pyrenees or something like a dog like very defined skin flaps the human pyrenees

[00:17:49] you watch the uh vice presidential debate right uh for a little bit that was the same night there was a

[00:17:57] chili cook-off in our neighborhoods

[00:18:00] do i want to um see the fate of the country or do i want to uh eat some bowls of chili well

[00:18:06] thankfully it came on late enough in the night that i could do both yeah so uh i did walk away

[00:18:11] with surprise i got a second place on there and it's pretty good the vegan chili with the your chili

[00:18:16] is pretty top tier i've had a few times thanks man but yeah so i walked away with a little gift card

[00:18:21] to the local pub and then and i was like oh we still have an hour before the debate comes on

[00:18:25] perfect i watched about an hour of it and then i'd pretty much had all i could stomach

[00:18:30] of jd vance and you know tim waltz wasn't tim waltz looking like he's at the mechanic being told

[00:18:37] worse and worse news about his repair like every time he'd like look down look up like really

[00:18:42] concerned i'm like yeah dude that's another five yeah dude uh we were checking out the gasket

[00:18:47] yep the gaskets are fucked bro yeah and we're seeing a lot of uh leakage and then that's like 200

[00:18:54] bucks for the blinker fluid you gotta get that gone yeah that's jd vance selling you a bell of goods

[00:19:00] um because i tell you man like he's sure good debater slick talker but he didn't say anything

[00:19:07] of substance that was my main problem with him he's like say something oh well up up up up his first

[00:19:14] answer of the night was uh i want to tell you a little bit about me for a minute a minute of the

[00:19:19] two that he's given and then kind of doing a roundabout answer in the second and also the

[00:19:23] moderators the first question of the night was so iran deserves to die how do you feel about it

[00:19:30] like what the fuck so how often should we bomb iran like whoa we're gonna leave with this yeah

[00:19:40] this is our opening question huh do they control the weather

[00:19:45] now my fellow my fellow congresswoman mary mary tyler green is a it's been misquoted by the the

[00:19:55] slanderous leftist media right we have to understand here she's not say who they were

[00:20:00] you're condemning her on your own assumptions yeah she meant the singalese you know i don't know what

[00:20:05] she meant by they the moorish yeah could be anybody the shriners what do you think what do you think

[00:20:15] they're using the power of those little cars uh-huh exactly yeah see they got it well i guess it's

[00:20:20] sad time i guess it's time for crypto scam of the week brad yeah baby you're listening to 48 minutes

[00:20:26] of dogs barking the podcast and now it's time for the crypto scam of the week are you familiar with

[00:20:33] ich coin i've heard of it but uh that's about it i'm vaguely familiar of this micah hatfield at abc 13

[00:20:42] news in houston texas the fbi is looking to identify additional victims of a fraudulent cryptocurrency

[00:20:49] platform so the special agent in charge amanda culver from the fbi houston branch called ich coin both a

[00:20:58] scheme and a scam oh it's both oh geez oh boy she said it starts with someone reaching out to the

[00:21:04] victims on social media including instagram and facebook and asking if the recipient wants to

[00:21:08] learn more about investing in cryptocurrency she said the profiles are fake the victims are then directed

[00:21:14] to whatsapp to communicate with the individuals claiming to teach them from there culver said the

[00:21:20] people are urged to lie to their banks about large wire transfers from the account to ich coin the

[00:21:28] victims track their return on investments on an ich coin app but there's no return on investment they try

[00:21:34] to collect their money they're ghosted can't get their money back i know this kind of goes without

[00:21:39] saying but if anyone comes to you out of the blue and says hey do you want to make money on fake

[00:21:47] internet money yeah it's the same thing if someone you really don't know is and say you want to smell my

[00:21:51] finger you say no sir no sir yeah absolutely not even if it's an older boy because it really feels like this

[00:21:56] is one of those scams that's going to hit people who are less experienced with the internet someone who is

[00:22:02] really gullible about getting facebook messages and those two alone points me to older folks right people who

[00:22:08] have savings for their retirement or what have you that they're going to transfer via fucking wire

[00:22:16] transfer to these people they don't know it's baffling yeah this is the average person could be

[00:22:23] fooled by this scam the average person is i hope smarter than this i try to have more faith in my

[00:22:29] fellow human beings than this but every day i get proven incorrect in so many ways so crypto time and

[00:22:37] they said that people got got for 30 million dollars if you go to the fbi's website you can fill out a

[00:22:44] questionnaire and they may have more information for you if you do that yes they said since december

[00:22:51] 2023 30 million dollars has been lost to ich coin in the u.s i don't know don't accept incoming facebook

[00:22:58] messages from people you don't know talking about crypto at all period that feels like that should be

[00:23:02] a no-brainer am i wrong yeah yeah oh i am listen it was a nigerian prince

[00:23:10] yeah or a chain mail that your great aunt would forward you

[00:23:16] really the best thing to do is to throw your phone into a slow moving river and to walk away

[00:23:23] and never look back fuck being a digital nomad just just be a nomad just be a luddite yeah and just you

[00:23:31] ride the rails your hot eats yeah your your hots in the cot and get your bindle together get your

[00:23:39] bindle your bindle with your abacus and your checkbook exactly you've forsaken all technology

[00:23:47] when's the last time you've written a check well i used to write checks for all my bills uh it's only

[00:23:53] been in the past couple years that i've abandoned checks my wife got the brilliant idea which i'm sure

[00:23:59] has been hey why don't we auto pay all the bills on a credit card that we then pay off and then you

[00:24:05] get points i was like well fuck that makes a lot of sense we should have been doing this years ago

[00:24:09] that's the last time i wrote a check if i'm buying a car and i'm buying a car cash i'm not carrying

[00:24:15] around that 10 15 gram with me in my pocket i'll write you a check i want to riff on you

[00:24:22] oh no the fact that he has to look up something to dunk on me is not great the fucking post-covid

[00:24:29] brain sometimes i just like space out on stuff the the way that i had to get around the memory

[00:24:34] who's actor was was the movie matchstick men okay i now find out is now 20 years old yeah yeah yeah

[00:24:41] fuck me fuck this passage of time do my sam rockwell yeah okay no no i'm talking about uh well he's in

[00:24:47] that movie yeah yeah i'm talking about nicholas cage i was like real nicholas cage uh i'm not gonna

[00:24:52] write you i'm not gonna walk around with ten thousand dollars i've done that once or twice and i was so

[00:24:59] fucking nervous the whole time carrying on cash i'm like what the fuck you think it was you're like

[00:25:03] black kid you can smell it no it's not he's gonna knock out game me it's not specifically like that it's

[00:25:11] just like you're googling castle doctrine terrible terrible person man i'm a nervous person okay i once

[00:25:19] had a recurring nightmare about getting stabbed to death in a schnook's parking lot okay and so now

[00:25:26] every time i go you know every time i go to schnook's i'm looking over my shoulder okay i have one time

[00:25:32] one time for like a week i had a recurring nightmare about getting stabbed in a schnook's parking lot

[00:25:36] was it when the talking uh vegetables from the commercial no it was a person but they had a mask

[00:25:43] on i couldn't see him but uh their lips were moving like they were paper mache

[00:25:49] it was a nightmare i don't know the the vegetable the talking vegetable i think that was schnook's

[00:25:56] because they had the whole vegetable force bit where they they had free fruits and veggies for the

[00:26:02] kids when they came to the store but they also gave the kids a free cookie so it's kind of

[00:26:06] figure it out guys are you promoting healthy eating or are you gonna give them a cookie

[00:26:10] but yeah so i'm a nervous person is what i'm saying it's not it's not a race thing it's just

[00:26:14] a nervous guy thing it's gonna be so funny why stab you in that parking lot

[00:26:20] when we're like both you know in our 50s like you son of a bitch as i lay dying how could you

[00:26:27] i trusted you i got your 10 grand

[00:26:30] that was run by vance i can't believe you

[00:26:37] that shit's expensive is what i'm saying yeah

[00:26:40] i was gonna buy a parrot and eat it

[00:26:44] the forbidden meat

[00:26:48] eat it on my behalf

[00:27:00] yeah uh

[00:27:02] my grandpa said what he did when he was stationed in the philippines

[00:27:08] oh

[00:27:10] it gets

[00:27:11] it gets more juicy

[00:27:13] yeah you gotta tenderize it yeah that's how it goes

[00:27:15] it loosens up the fibers

[00:27:19] oh

[00:27:20] well speaking of uh dogs and places that you don't want to go

[00:27:26] yeah that's about it

[00:27:28] we had this idea last week and i didn't get the bat off my shoulders and i'm really sorry that i didn't

[00:27:33] because i really enjoyed doing the research for this our main topic this week is when two internet

[00:27:38] jokesters sent pitbull to alaska

[00:27:42] not just any place in alaska but the island of kodiak

[00:27:46] population under 12 000

[00:27:49] tiny ass town

[00:27:51] tiny ass town

[00:27:51] this all started

[00:27:53] with a promotion

[00:27:54] that walmart

[00:27:55] and sheets was doing

[00:27:57] now sheets

[00:27:58] i don't know if you remember this

[00:27:59] this

[00:28:00] sheets started

[00:28:01] along with listerine

[00:28:03] it was supposed to be for breath freshening

[00:28:05] it was a little those little gelatin

[00:28:06] yeah

[00:28:07] sheets of gelatin that would dissolve on your tongue

[00:28:09] very handy

[00:28:09] well sheets was the competing brand with listerine

[00:28:12] sheets brand

[00:28:13] created one that had

[00:28:15] some energy drink ingredients in it

[00:28:18] so your energy

[00:28:19] sheets

[00:28:20] so energy sheets

[00:28:22] and walmart

[00:28:24] teamed up

[00:28:25] to do a promotion

[00:28:26] the idea was

[00:28:27] it's called my local walmart

[00:28:28] if you like your local walmart on facebook

[00:28:31] the store with the most new likes

[00:28:35] by the middle of july

[00:28:37] will win a visit

[00:28:38] from pitbull

[00:28:39] miami-based recording artist

[00:28:41] pitbull

[00:28:42] mr 305

[00:28:43] mr 305

[00:28:44] mr worldwide

[00:28:44] and uh

[00:28:46] it started at the end of june

[00:28:48] of 2012

[00:28:49] and went through

[00:28:51] the middle of july

[00:28:52] so this whole thing

[00:28:53] took place

[00:28:54] over less than three weeks

[00:28:56] yeah

[00:28:57] so david thorpe

[00:28:58] we'll just call him

[00:28:59] at r

[00:29:00] a r r

[00:29:01] because he's still on twitter

[00:29:02] uh and john hendron

[00:29:03] at fart

[00:29:04] also still on twitter

[00:29:06] but they started working

[00:29:07] way back in the day

[00:29:09] for something awful

[00:29:10] and they were some of the writers

[00:29:11] of some of the best articles

[00:29:13] roaming dad

[00:29:14] fashion swat

[00:29:15] swat

[00:29:16] yeah

[00:29:16] fashion swat

[00:29:17] any number

[00:29:17] i mean you could go through the archives

[00:29:19] of most of the best stuff

[00:29:20] it's either one of those two

[00:29:21] so these guys

[00:29:23] were pretty well known

[00:29:25] as being

[00:29:25] let's just say

[00:29:27] pranksters

[00:29:27] yes

[00:29:28] well i mean we mentioned

[00:29:29] john hendron before

[00:29:31] in a previous episode

[00:29:32] about the

[00:29:33] smash mouth

[00:29:34] eat the eggs

[00:29:35] yeah guy fury

[00:29:36] cooked them

[00:29:36] smash mouth

[00:29:37] they're too spicy for john

[00:29:38] and for

[00:29:39] the guy

[00:29:40] smash mouth

[00:29:41] whose name i always forget

[00:29:42] uh steve harwell

[00:29:43] steve harwell

[00:29:44] thank you

[00:29:44] but yes

[00:29:45] so these guys

[00:29:47] kind of known

[00:29:48] for being pranksters

[00:29:49] already

[00:29:50] this is 2012

[00:29:51] i don't think they'd done

[00:29:52] the epic shoe roast yet

[00:29:53] where they're going

[00:29:54] stop roasting my shoe

[00:29:57] i'm saying the shoes

[00:29:58] have problems

[00:29:59] um

[00:30:01] baz lerman ass footwear

[00:30:03] yeah

[00:30:04] and so

[00:30:05] so this here

[00:30:06] according to an old

[00:30:07] gawker article

[00:30:08] pitbull might be feeling

[00:30:09] a little less enthused

[00:30:10] about the whole thing

[00:30:10] once he learns

[00:30:11] that thorpe and hendron

[00:30:12] have incited

[00:30:13] thousands of facebook users

[00:30:14] to like the official page

[00:30:16] of walmart kodiak

[00:30:18] the most remote walmart

[00:30:19] in america

[00:30:20] at the time of writing

[00:30:21] the store's fan page

[00:30:23] already has more likes

[00:30:24] than the entire

[00:30:25] population of kodiak

[00:30:27] and is fast on its way

[00:30:28] to becoming quote

[00:30:29] the most liked

[00:30:30] walmart store

[00:30:31] in the world

[00:30:33] asked why he hates

[00:30:34] pitbull so much

[00:30:36] thorpe responds

[00:30:36] i don't hate pitbull

[00:30:38] i think he'll have

[00:30:39] a wonderful time

[00:30:40] in alaska

[00:30:43] and so they created

[00:30:45] a hashtag

[00:30:48] exile pitbull

[00:30:50] i like how we're on

[00:30:51] uh know your meme here

[00:30:52] and it's under exile pitbull

[00:30:54] and the title of this article

[00:30:56] is part of a series

[00:30:57] on pitbull

[00:30:59] oh yeah you should see

[00:31:00] the related entries

[00:31:01] on pitbull

[00:31:01] it's pretty fucking amazing

[00:31:02] let's see

[00:31:03] uh yeah mr worldwide

[00:31:04] the dance with fireball

[00:31:07] mr worldwide

[00:31:08] is pretty funny

[00:31:09] because a lot of people

[00:31:09] have been remixing

[00:31:10] that image of him

[00:31:11] like holding the globe

[00:31:12] so yes june 29th 2012

[00:31:14] john henry david thorpe

[00:31:15] they announced it

[00:31:16] on twitter

[00:31:16] at r

[00:31:17] pitbull is having a contest

[00:31:19] where he'll visit

[00:31:19] the local walmart

[00:31:20] that gets the most fb likes

[00:31:21] at fart and i are sending him

[00:31:23] to kodiak alaska

[00:31:26] and so they started

[00:31:28] adding

[00:31:29] exile pitbull to tweets

[00:31:31] inviting followers

[00:31:32] to like the facebook page

[00:31:34] a screenshot

[00:31:35] of thorpe's tweets

[00:31:37] wound up

[00:31:37] on reddit

[00:31:38] and i think this is where

[00:31:40] it really took off

[00:31:41] on the r funny

[00:31:42] subreddit

[00:31:43] getting 16,000

[00:31:44] upvotes

[00:31:45] and uh

[00:31:46] which resulted in the

[00:31:49] facebook page

[00:31:50] for kodiak alaska

[00:31:51] getting 50 new likes

[00:31:54] per minute

[00:31:55] that's insane

[00:31:56] and then of course

[00:31:57] gawker picked it up

[00:31:58] that was the article

[00:31:58] we talked about

[00:31:59] the day later

[00:32:00] pitbull

[00:32:01] used the hashtag

[00:32:02] himself

[00:32:03] on twitter

[00:32:04] i hear there's

[00:32:05] bell repelling at

[00:32:06] kodiak alaska

[00:32:06] at walmart specials

[00:32:08] at sheets

[00:32:08] hashtag exile pitbull

[00:32:10] dale

[00:32:14] in the meantime

[00:32:15] i mean it hit

[00:32:16] everywhere

[00:32:17] between gawker

[00:32:18] huff post

[00:32:19] abc news

[00:32:20] cnn

[00:32:21] time

[00:32:22] like it

[00:32:22] it went nuts

[00:32:23] everybody was talking

[00:32:24] about this

[00:32:24] now pitbull fans

[00:32:26] on the other hand

[00:32:26] decided that they were

[00:32:27] gonna turn the tables

[00:32:29] and make it so that

[00:32:30] he went to the walmart

[00:32:31] in miami

[00:32:32] so the hashtag

[00:32:34] keep pitbull 305

[00:32:35] is the counter hashtag

[00:32:37] pitbull responding

[00:32:39] with uh just

[00:32:39] ha

[00:32:40] it's a movement

[00:32:41] dale

[00:32:41] keep pitbull 305

[00:32:42] and so

[00:32:43] kodiak won

[00:32:44] the walmart

[00:32:45] kodiak page

[00:32:46] got 70,000

[00:32:48] plus likes

[00:32:50] and won the contest

[00:32:51] pitbull responded

[00:32:53] with a sense of good humor

[00:32:54] now he's on tour in spain

[00:32:56] when he's recording this

[00:32:57] so let's you go pick

[00:32:58] mr 305

[00:32:59] but i said mr world

[00:33:00] where at

[00:33:00] i'm over in madrid

[00:33:02] spain right now

[00:33:03] rocking rio

[00:33:05] and uh

[00:33:06] there's a huge

[00:33:07] walmart

[00:33:07] slash sheets

[00:33:09] energy strip

[00:33:09] campaign going on

[00:33:11] and uh

[00:33:12] i heard that

[00:33:12] kodiak alaska

[00:33:14] has the most likes

[00:33:15] due to someone

[00:33:16] that thinks he was

[00:33:17] playing a prank

[00:33:19] i said okay great

[00:33:20] this sounds really good

[00:33:21] well you gotta understand

[00:33:22] that i would go anywhere

[00:33:23] in the world

[00:33:24] for my fans

[00:33:25] so i want to thank

[00:33:27] walmart for the opportunity

[00:33:28] sheets energy strip

[00:33:29] for the opportunity

[00:33:30] and with that said

[00:33:31] i want to invite

[00:33:32] that uh

[00:33:33] someone who thinks

[00:33:34] that it's a joke

[00:33:34] to kodiak alaska

[00:33:36] with me

[00:33:37] with that said

[00:33:38] enjoy a little bit

[00:33:40] of my world tour

[00:33:41] here in madrid spain

[00:33:42] rock and rio

[00:33:43] follow me to stage

[00:33:44] and follow me to kodiak

[00:33:46] bye

[00:33:48] and in good spirits

[00:33:49] he posts this video

[00:33:51] saying yep

[00:33:51] you know what

[00:33:52] uh you guys might think

[00:33:53] it's a joke

[00:33:53] but i'll go anywhere

[00:33:54] for my fans

[00:33:56] and so

[00:33:56] he did

[00:33:58] yeah

[00:33:58] yeah

[00:33:59] to

[00:33:59] to his credit

[00:34:01] yes

[00:34:01] people went to

[00:34:02] kodiak alaska

[00:34:03] and seemed to keep

[00:34:05] some good spirits

[00:34:06] about himself

[00:34:07] oh he loved it

[00:34:08] from what we see

[00:34:09] in the following

[00:34:09] uh series of tweets

[00:34:11] there yeah

[00:34:11] he he really enjoyed

[00:34:12] himself

[00:34:12] and apparently

[00:34:14] david thorpe did as well

[00:34:15] here's david thorpe

[00:34:16] posting a photo

[00:34:17] of himself

[00:34:17] with pitbull

[00:34:19] delay

[00:34:20] uh

[00:34:21] him doing the

[00:34:22] the big thumbs up

[00:34:23] he's got a suicide

[00:34:23] machines t-shirt on

[00:34:25] hang out

[00:34:26] i forgot about

[00:34:27] the suicide

[00:34:28] machine shirt

[00:34:29] so

[00:34:29] i love that

[00:34:30] david looks like

[00:34:31] such an early

[00:34:33] 2010s music writer

[00:34:34] because that's what

[00:34:35] he was

[00:34:35] yeah

[00:34:36] exactly

[00:34:36] he's what we all

[00:34:37] looked like

[00:34:37] oh yeah

[00:34:38] oh for sure

[00:34:39] shoveled hair

[00:34:40] chunky glasses

[00:34:42] zip up hoodie

[00:34:42] over a band shirt

[00:34:44] like

[00:34:44] so he was writing

[00:34:45] for the boston phoenix

[00:34:47] he says pitbull

[00:34:48] invited me to go

[00:34:49] to alaska with him

[00:34:50] this is july 10th

[00:34:51] so this is before

[00:34:52] the results are even

[00:34:53] out

[00:34:53] in case you missed

[00:34:54] this whole stupid

[00:34:55] thing

[00:34:55] pitbull announced

[00:34:56] the contest

[00:34:57] for laughs

[00:34:58] my friend john

[00:34:59] henry and i

[00:34:59] started a twitter

[00:35:00] campaign to send

[00:35:00] him to kodiak alaska

[00:35:01] it took off on reddit

[00:35:03] and gawker

[00:35:03] within the few days

[00:35:04] the ap made it

[00:35:05] a national story

[00:35:06] on july 3rd i woke

[00:35:08] up to text telling

[00:35:08] me the story had

[00:35:09] made it to npr

[00:35:10] and good morning

[00:35:11] america

[00:35:11] throughout the day

[00:35:13] it went up on

[00:35:13] cnn billboard and

[00:35:14] a bunch of other

[00:35:14] places then around

[00:35:15] 8pm pitbull hit

[00:35:17] me with a tweet

[00:35:18] you should come with

[00:35:19] me to kodiak

[00:35:20] since you are so

[00:35:21] invested in going

[00:35:22] there bro

[00:35:23] in me going there

[00:35:24] bro

[00:35:24] you're welcome

[00:35:25] the number two

[00:35:26] of course i

[00:35:27] accepted

[00:35:28] i'd be a fool

[00:35:29] not to join pitbull

[00:35:30] in the frozen north

[00:35:31] anything could

[00:35:32] change

[00:35:32] he says

[00:35:33] voting ends

[00:35:35] july 16th

[00:35:36] pitbull could

[00:35:36] retract his

[00:35:37] invitation

[00:35:37] miami could

[00:35:38] pull ahead

[00:35:38] kodiak could be

[00:35:39] destroyed in a

[00:35:40] volcanic eruption

[00:35:41] most likely the

[00:35:42] whole thing will

[00:35:43] stop being funny

[00:35:44] and fade away

[00:35:45] but tonight

[00:35:45] it kind of looks

[00:35:46] like i'll be

[00:35:47] zumba-ing my

[00:35:48] ass to alaska

[00:35:49] better get my

[00:35:50] shit together

[00:35:51] here is my

[00:35:52] kodiak to-do

[00:35:53] list

[00:35:54] he says

[00:35:55] make sure this

[00:35:56] isn't a weird

[00:35:56] dream where

[00:35:57] pitbull invites me

[00:35:58] on an alaskan

[00:35:58] vacation and i

[00:35:59] can't wake up

[00:36:00] no it's real

[00:36:00] this time

[00:36:01] this is truly a

[00:36:02] thing

[00:36:02] scan pitbull's

[00:36:04] tweet for veiled

[00:36:05] passive-aggressive

[00:36:06] vibes

[00:36:07] have a small

[00:36:08] panic attack

[00:36:08] about pitbull's

[00:36:09] entourage feeding

[00:36:10] me to a bear

[00:36:13] inconclusive

[00:36:13] better double check

[00:36:14] it for romantic

[00:36:15] vibes as well

[00:36:16] get in touch with

[00:36:17] a former kodiak

[00:36:19] resident for a little

[00:36:19] recon

[00:36:20] says ex-kodiak

[00:36:22] coast guard

[00:36:22] brat andy

[00:36:23] delgado

[00:36:24] i hear they just

[00:36:25] recently opened a

[00:36:26] taco bell in the

[00:36:27] past few years

[00:36:27] people were pissed

[00:36:29] because it replaced

[00:36:30] a kfc

[00:36:31] that is some

[00:36:32] small town beef

[00:36:34] furthermore the last

[00:36:35] celebrity that i know

[00:36:36] of that visited

[00:36:37] kodiak was donny

[00:36:38] osmond back in the

[00:36:39] 90s sometime

[00:36:40] people freaked out

[00:36:42] about that

[00:36:43] check the cnn

[00:36:45] comments to get a

[00:36:46] feel for the local

[00:36:46] mood

[00:36:47] quote i live in

[00:36:48] kodiak and most

[00:36:49] people here really

[00:36:50] don't care about

[00:36:51] this

[00:36:51] frankly kodiak and

[00:36:53] alaska in general is

[00:36:54] a place for exiles

[00:36:55] we like to think of

[00:36:57] our remoteness as

[00:36:58] sanctuary for those

[00:36:59] who don't fit in

[00:37:00] anywhere else

[00:37:00] hence our crackpot

[00:37:01] reputation

[00:37:02] it's a pastiche of

[00:37:03] personality and

[00:37:04] culture that would

[00:37:05] take pitbull if no

[00:37:06] other place wanted

[00:37:07] him let him do what

[00:37:08] he wants just don't

[00:37:10] scare all the fish

[00:37:11] and deer away with

[00:37:12] loud music

[00:37:12] and then the last

[00:37:14] bit on his bullet

[00:37:15] points is rent that

[00:37:16] kevin costner ashton

[00:37:17] kutcher joint the

[00:37:18] guardian which takes

[00:37:20] place in beautiful

[00:37:21] kodiak movie

[00:37:22] involves coast

[00:37:23] guard heroes

[00:37:24] drowning in icy

[00:37:25] water non-stop

[00:37:26] mentally prepare for

[00:37:29] nightmares where

[00:37:30] pitbull throws me

[00:37:31] off a helicopter

[00:37:33] into a merciless

[00:37:35] churning gray sea

[00:37:37] david's got a way

[00:37:39] with words doesn't

[00:37:39] he and so yes

[00:37:40] he did he did go

[00:37:42] he went he went

[00:37:43] with pitbull to

[00:37:44] alaska and a

[00:37:45] something awful

[00:37:46] front page article

[00:37:47] covered it all

[00:37:47] the title dr david

[00:37:49] thorpe meets pitbull

[00:37:50] written by john

[00:37:51] hendron and it's

[00:37:52] really just a series

[00:37:53] of tweets so david

[00:37:55] arriving anchorage

[00:37:56] airport is full of

[00:37:57] enormous stuffed

[00:37:57] bears

[00:38:00] wow my friend

[00:38:01] robert i haven't

[00:38:02] thought about that

[00:38:02] username in a

[00:38:03] while he responds

[00:38:05] so is the castro

[00:38:06] dude

[00:38:07] oh yeah it's a san

[00:38:09] francisco joke yes

[00:38:10] yeah david thorpe in

[00:38:11] kodiak just had to

[00:38:13] sign a thing saying

[00:38:14] i can't kill or gut

[00:38:16] fish deer or bears in

[00:38:18] my hotel room i told

[00:38:20] the guy sorry dude but

[00:38:21] if there's a bear in

[00:38:22] my room i'm probably

[00:38:23] gonna have to kill it

[00:38:25] hotel guy told me to

[00:38:26] be quote bear aware if

[00:38:28] i took a walk haven't

[00:38:29] run into any yet and

[00:38:30] yet there's a stuffed

[00:38:31] one in the hotel lobby

[00:38:33] which she takes a

[00:38:33] picture with see here

[00:38:34] just met a family of

[00:38:35] rad people plucking

[00:38:36] salmon out of the

[00:38:38] river like it was a

[00:38:39] damn grocery store

[00:38:40] just saw a raven the

[00:38:42] size of a damn

[00:38:42] watermelon all caps

[00:38:44] he posts a beautiful

[00:38:45] view this is a five

[00:38:46] minute walk from my

[00:38:47] hotel kodiak rules

[00:38:48] he arrives at the

[00:38:49] walmart with the sign

[00:38:50] congratulations walmart

[00:38:51] store and then another

[00:38:53] one bear attacks of the

[00:38:54] century in the walmart

[00:38:56] store apparently there's

[00:38:57] a book true stories of

[00:38:58] courage and survival

[00:38:59] larry muller and

[00:38:59] marguerite rice wrote

[00:39:00] this book took a photo

[00:39:02] of a bear a stuffed

[00:39:03] another stuffed bear in

[00:39:04] the walmart with a

[00:39:05] sign that says tallay pitbull

[00:39:08] doesn't get in till

[00:39:09] tomorrow so now i'm just

[00:39:11] scoping the place out for

[00:39:12] him so here's a colin

[00:39:17] bears apparently this is a

[00:39:19] dvd how to get bears to

[00:39:22] bears to come to you they

[00:39:23] come to eat it says the

[00:39:24] only room the hotel had

[00:39:25] ready when i checked in

[00:39:26] was a dogs allowed room and

[00:39:28] to be quite honest i wasn't

[00:39:29] really prepared for this

[00:39:31] strong of a dog smell

[00:39:32] kodiak under heavy fog i

[00:39:34] hope pitbull won't be

[00:39:35] stuck in anchorage or

[00:39:36] i'll have to appear in

[00:39:37] his stead and so the

[00:39:39] people in kodiak did set

[00:39:40] up a nice little band

[00:39:41] shell pretty decent

[00:39:42] size a little crowd

[00:39:44] there pitbull arriving

[00:39:45] now non-media asked to

[00:39:46] move to the back of the

[00:39:47] room there are three

[00:39:48] non-media people back of

[00:39:50] the room is five feet

[00:39:52] from the front just met

[00:39:53] pitbull david says he

[00:39:56] shook my hand and said

[00:39:57] keep bullshitting next

[00:39:59] thing you know we'll be on

[00:40:00] the moon fucking a man

[00:40:02] i love that guy my

[00:40:05] pitbull handshake hand

[00:40:06] smells like cologne i'll

[00:40:08] never be able to afford

[00:40:09] founder of ceo of sheets is

[00:40:11] up on stage now i'm

[00:40:13] starstruck pitbull strides

[00:40:15] into the gazebo instantly

[00:40:16] owns the place this photo

[00:40:18] and a couple of the ones

[00:40:19] from this trip really makes

[00:40:20] me realize just how short

[00:40:21] pitbull is he's not a very

[00:40:22] tall dude like he's well

[00:40:23] proportioned yeah yeah he

[00:40:25] still stands out because it's

[00:40:26] fucking pitbull

[00:40:27] like he's mr mr worldwide

[00:40:30] mr 305 yeah he's just

[00:40:32] during this he says he

[00:40:33] pitbull just shouted me out

[00:40:34] in front of like hundreds

[00:40:35] of people he just pledged

[00:40:37] to shout out kodiak in a

[00:40:39] song he's presented the key

[00:40:41] to the city of kodiak by the

[00:40:43] mayor now he can get into any

[00:40:44] locked door in town better do

[00:40:46] the deadbolt uh david pitbull is

[00:40:49] mad classy he's enjoying the

[00:40:51] hell out of this event all the pr

[00:40:53] people are super stressed out

[00:40:54] but he's just kodiak chilling

[00:40:56] pitbull then keeping this up

[00:40:58] here keep your friends close

[00:41:00] and your enemies closer sun

[00:41:02] tzu winky smiley face at our

[00:41:04] hashtag pitbull kodiak dale

[00:41:09] once it was all over david

[00:41:11] thorn posting this concludes the

[00:41:13] weirdest thing of my life now

[00:41:15] time to drive around kodiak

[00:41:16] looking for bears i like the

[00:41:20] tweet below this i'm sorry big

[00:41:21] shout out to kmart and

[00:41:22] listern fresh trips for making

[00:41:24] this whole thing happen

[00:41:26] pitbull then saying thank you

[00:41:28] kodiak i am honored truly so

[00:41:29] apparently there was a

[00:41:31] indigenous ceremony that he

[00:41:32] was involved in he's holding

[00:41:33] this cute little baby that's the

[00:41:35] photo i think of because yeah

[00:41:37] i just think that's a really

[00:41:38] cool shot i just love this idea

[00:41:40] he just like shows up he's

[00:41:42] rolling with it he's rolling

[00:41:44] with it as best as anyone can

[00:41:45] he's probably like yeah fuck this

[00:41:46] guy but he's got a sense of

[00:41:48] humor about it he's like you

[00:41:49] know what i'm here fuck it

[00:41:50] let's let's do it let's make

[00:41:52] it happen there's no harm in

[00:41:53] trying to make this not suck he

[00:41:56] doesn't really have anything to

[00:41:57] lose here except enjoy himself

[00:41:59] exactly right and i think that's

[00:42:01] a big part of why there's just so

[00:42:04] much interesting stuff around this

[00:42:05] so there was a pitbull did put

[00:42:07] together a video there's another

[00:42:10] one from the official pitbull the

[00:42:11] road to kodiak and david's in the

[00:42:13] video amazing i don't think i've

[00:42:15] seen this looks like a beautiful

[00:42:17] town oh yeah so he went from kodiak

[00:42:22] alaska to his next tour stop in

[00:42:23] atlanta that's a long hell of a

[00:42:25] flight and i mean even if you're

[00:42:27] flying private some uh some of those

[00:42:28] energy sheets i'm telling you what a

[00:42:30] story you know like two guys shit

[00:42:33] posting

[00:42:35] used to be like used to be every

[00:42:37] internet story yeah yeah like we took

[00:42:39] advantage of something

[00:42:40] yeah like remember people found out

[00:42:43] that you could just troll corporate

[00:42:45] social media accounts by saying

[00:42:47] david thrope again yeah saying that

[00:42:49] there was a raccoon at kudoba named

[00:42:53] swim yeah i thought it was arby's i

[00:42:57] thought arby's was the arby's i think

[00:42:58] it was i think kudoba was at one he did

[00:43:00] a bunch of them yeah but but swim was

[00:43:02] it oh yeah they said there was a raccoon

[00:43:04] behind the grill and i said something

[00:43:06] about this i said don't worry it's just

[00:43:07] swim that's swim he's been there yeah

[00:43:10] you could really rile people up on the

[00:43:12] early days of twitter especially or or

[00:43:14] even you know message boards and

[00:43:16] whatnot so i'm like oh we're gonna do

[00:43:18] this poll about where where we should

[00:43:20] send taylor swift to i concern troll

[00:43:23] dick sporing's good dick sporing goods

[00:43:25] facebook page being like i really don't

[00:43:28] appreciate my children seeing a store

[00:43:30] and they just see the word dick i think

[00:43:34] i trolled red lobster yeah like you could

[00:43:37] just like you know there's some you

[00:43:38] know social media intern that's like

[00:43:40] sweating his yeah sweating beneath the

[00:43:42] collar he doesn't know what he's

[00:43:43] doing yeah he doesn't want there to be

[00:43:46] something that becomes an out of control

[00:43:48] pr gaffe but now everything's out of

[00:43:50] control pr gaffe so it's normalized

[00:43:52] everything's fucked yeah everybody sucks

[00:43:55] yeah there's no composure there's no

[00:43:57] uh uh sincerity well it's either that

[00:44:01] you're doing is you're playing against

[00:44:03] that sincerity and you're exploiting it

[00:44:05] for you know basically you're the

[00:44:08] equivalent of doing an armpit fart well

[00:44:11] it's either that or it's the you know

[00:44:12] the sunny delight twitter account

[00:44:15] pretending they have depression i can't

[00:44:18] tell which one's worse

[00:44:19] the spaghettios account uh posting a

[00:44:22] 9-11 remembrance

[00:44:25] i think it was sunny views was like i just

[00:44:28] can't do this anymore

[00:44:29] jesus christ when the brands pretend

[00:44:32] they're human or that kind of thing it's

[00:44:34] like that's a very different internet than

[00:44:36] than like two guys deciding you know what

[00:44:38] for fun we're gonna send pitbull to the

[00:44:41] furthest walmart but uh there was there was

[00:44:43] also something similar maybe a year or two

[00:44:45] later your school with the most votes gets

[00:44:48] to have a taylor swift show and internet

[00:44:50] trolls i can't remember who actually did

[00:44:52] it they sent her to a school for the deaf

[00:44:55] that kind of thing or the fred durst waste

[00:44:58] disposal

[00:45:01] oh yeah those kinds of things are like

[00:45:03] they're harmless they're kind of fun

[00:45:05] there's an internet of old that i think is

[00:45:07] you're right largely missing we don't see

[00:45:09] that anymore because everyone's been

[00:45:11] burned by these things too many times now

[00:45:13] i think

[00:45:13] but every once in a while you get a fun

[00:45:15] one a couple years ago there was a burger

[00:45:17] king thing where you could make your own

[00:45:19] burger

[00:45:19] but it was like you could one was just like

[00:45:22] a burger made entirely of patties or one

[00:45:24] just like the hitler burger or like yeah or

[00:45:27] the one that became a meme of its own

[00:45:28] besides that which was done beef left

[00:45:33] none pizza with left beef it was a pizza

[00:45:36] crust it was barely barely uh

[00:45:41] it just had like three or four pieces of

[00:45:43] like round beef chunks scattered in the

[00:45:45] side of the box none pizza with left beef

[00:45:52] it's like all right man

[00:45:54] sure

[00:45:55] there was a wild uncertainty about that kind of

[00:45:58] internet shit

[00:45:59] yeah

[00:46:00] i don't try to over romanticize any like

[00:46:03] sense of nostalgia for like an internet or

[00:46:06] moments that passed

[00:46:08] but i always come back to like but we should

[00:46:10] comprehend what has been lost

[00:46:12] oh absolutely

[00:46:13] has changed and wonder how we got there and

[00:46:16] this right here i think was

[00:46:19] the end of people finding a way to

[00:46:23] troll the corporatized internet space

[00:46:26] this was like the end of it

[00:46:27] like i say by 2014

[00:46:29] you couldn't concern troll

[00:46:32] a social media account for

[00:46:34] spaghettios

[00:46:35] you couldn't create

[00:46:36] a fake dinty moore account

[00:46:39] there was a great internet historian did a

[00:46:41] video about these types of things where

[00:46:43] they would like take votes so they would

[00:46:45] do surveys and things like that and i

[00:46:47] think it was a couple years after that it

[00:46:49] might have been closer to trump being

[00:46:53] elected where there were a few more

[00:46:55] others because i remember the taylor swift

[00:46:57] one going to the school for the deaf a few

[00:46:59] ones where they left an open hashtag for

[00:47:02] some convention to where people were

[00:47:04] posting you know hardcore gay porn on this

[00:47:07] hashtag and it automatically went up on a

[00:47:09] jumbotron at the convention

[00:47:11] the printer yeah

[00:47:13] yes where we also got weed lord boner hitler

[00:47:17] boner hitler yeah the ace because it was

[00:47:20] like the affordable care act will hurt my

[00:47:22] family and then you would sign your name

[00:47:25] well people would sign weed lord boner hitler

[00:47:28] or they'd sign like dick durbin's an asshole

[00:47:31] or whatever yeah i'm trying to remember i just

[00:47:33] remember bruce dackler yeah like the last

[00:47:35] one that got printed before they pulled the

[00:47:37] plug we'll have to you know what that's

[00:47:39] actually a good subject for a future episode

[00:47:40] we'll put that in our little back pocket

[00:47:42] there well speaking of your back pocket

[00:47:45] dalay

[00:47:47] mr will what you know what happens on the

[00:47:49] internet

[00:47:52] you know what they say what happens in

[00:47:54] vegas stays in vegas

[00:47:55] uh-huh what happens on the internet

[00:47:58] didn't happen okay all right

[00:48:02] dalay as cheesy as he is and as weird as he

[00:48:05] is i gotta give him love man he's fucking

[00:48:07] great

[00:48:07] i wish i didn't had to like didn't have to

[00:48:10] leave

[00:48:10] oh i was like having your co-worker said

[00:48:13] you left that for this

[00:48:15] yeah people were like are you fucking

[00:48:17] kidding me right i would have said the

[00:48:19] same thing

[00:48:20] that did for that did not exist yeah i

[00:48:22] would have said the same thing if i was

[00:48:24] like i left fucking pitbull or like

[00:48:25] people were like like shirking like yeah i

[00:48:29] was like it was the only time i remember

[00:48:30] i think any of those people ever saw me

[00:48:31] upset like i was living the 305 lifestyle

[00:48:34] i'm telling you i'm waiting for timber

[00:48:37] to come on

[00:48:37] it was such a fun show and i don't do

[00:48:39] like big pop spectacles like i don't

[00:48:41] really photograph or attend those kind of

[00:48:43] shows that often and i but the dude is

[00:48:46] fun he's a fun guy

[00:48:47] it was a blast i had it was great i mean

[00:48:49] there's a reason why he sold a lot of

[00:48:50] records he's a fun dude he's a fun dude

[00:48:52] like people were having a great time like

[00:48:54] i only saw a couple people that looked

[00:48:56] like they were a little too fucked up on

[00:48:58] the soft end well most people most people

[00:49:00] look like they had like their two drinks

[00:49:02] and they were having a good time well

[00:49:04] speaking of people it's time for shock

[00:49:06] dot jpg

[00:49:07] and now the moment you've all been waiting

[00:49:11] for

[00:49:11] shock dot jpg

[00:49:14] this one features two people two very

[00:49:18] attractive people in fact but what

[00:49:20] they're doing not so attractive found

[00:49:22] this one on 4chan anal acrobats slash

[00:49:26] bunny rabbits

[00:49:27] oh no

[00:49:29] so

[00:49:30] i don't know how familiar you are

[00:49:32] with either one of these folks

[00:49:34] uh the woman on top in the pink bikini top

[00:49:37] is bobby star

[00:49:39] and the woman on bottom is sasha gray

[00:49:41] oh the girlfriend experience

[00:49:42] the girlfriend experience

[00:49:43] and they're

[00:49:44] this alone is a time capsule

[00:49:45] so they're fake humping

[00:49:47] and then bobby uh does a little butt

[00:49:49] smooch

[00:49:50] bites the butt

[00:49:51] uh-huh uh-huh

[00:49:52] lick of the butt

[00:49:53] you know

[00:49:53] this is like soft core almost at this point

[00:49:56] takes a sniff of the booty hole

[00:49:57] through the underwear

[00:49:59] uh-huh

[00:50:00] pulls the thong aside

[00:50:01] spreads the old butthole

[00:50:05] still sniffing by the way

[00:50:06] this is how i was at

[00:50:08] when i worked at whole foods

[00:50:09] and they brought out like

[00:50:10] the fresh

[00:50:10] freshly cut seaside cheddar

[00:50:12] samples

[00:50:14] just like that huh

[00:50:15] just like

[00:50:15] just really getting in there

[00:50:17] something slowly emerging

[00:50:19] the fact that this is almost two minutes

[00:50:21] is what makes it really insufferable

[00:50:23] it's like come on guys

[00:50:24] get to the point

[00:50:26] Sasha Grady's ear fiber

[00:50:28] i'm telling you

[00:50:29] ah

[00:50:30] there we go

[00:50:32] oh

[00:50:32] i'm licking it

[00:50:33] so there was some sort of easter egg

[00:50:35] up the butt

[00:50:36] and bobby star

[00:50:37] licks it

[00:50:38] puts it in her mouth

[00:50:39] licks it again

[00:50:41] uh

[00:50:42] and then

[00:50:43] apparently there is an entire

[00:50:45] 30 minute segment of them doing this

[00:50:47] bobby star

[00:50:48] has one in her butt as well

[00:50:50] uh

[00:50:50] and they pass them back and forth

[00:50:52] it's not great

[00:50:53] uh

[00:50:53] no it's not

[00:50:54] it's not great at all

[00:50:55] still every person i've known

[00:50:57] that has done porn

[00:50:58] has always said

[00:50:59] the fetish stuff

[00:51:00] is the easiest shit

[00:51:01] oh sure

[00:51:02] anal acrobats

[00:51:03] that's the name of the film

[00:51:06] which i like

[00:51:07] and i was like wondering

[00:51:08] like

[00:51:08] as i'm watching

[00:51:09] this object

[00:51:11] a breach

[00:51:12] emerge

[00:51:13] slowly

[00:51:13] slowly

[00:51:14] slowly is the problem

[00:51:16] that's

[00:51:17] i mean you don't want to like

[00:51:19] force it and like

[00:51:19] and and risk like tearing the muscle

[00:51:21] no

[00:51:22] but it's also like

[00:51:23] man speed this film up a little bit

[00:51:25] yeah

[00:51:25] this is

[00:51:26] you're keeping me in suspense

[00:51:27] maybe that's part of it for some people

[00:51:29] but it's not for me

[00:51:30] just like

[00:51:31] let's go

[00:51:31] but also just like the uh

[00:51:32] the sniffing

[00:51:33] just like

[00:51:33] hmm

[00:51:34] hmm

[00:51:35] yes

[00:51:35] something's in there

[00:51:36] smells like a butthole

[00:51:38] yes it does

[00:51:38] yeah

[00:51:39] exactly

[00:51:40] what are you smelling there bobby

[00:51:41] what is going on here

[00:51:42] but then

[00:51:43] to take it and put it all the way

[00:51:45] because it wasn't just like

[00:51:46] lick the little egg

[00:51:47] that's no no

[00:51:48] it was like

[00:51:48] popped it in there

[00:51:49] popped it in like a jawbreaker

[00:51:52] yeah

[00:51:53] exactly right

[00:51:54] like some eddy shit over here

[00:51:55] and then

[00:51:57] takes it out of her mouth

[00:51:58] licks it again

[00:51:59] what didn't you get the first time

[00:52:01] what are you going back

[00:52:03] for another lick of

[00:52:04] i don't think round two

[00:52:05] is going to be that

[00:52:05] different of an experience

[00:52:06] there's nothing you haven't already tasted

[00:52:09] amazing

[00:52:10] the fact that that's a minute and 48 seconds

[00:52:11] feels fucking forever

[00:52:13] it does feel fucking forever

[00:52:14] feels like a very long time

[00:52:16] and the fact that there's 30 more minutes of this

[00:52:18] if not more than

[00:52:19] because apparently there was stuff that was cut

[00:52:21] the director's cut

[00:52:23] there was a director

[00:52:24] he released the snyder cut of the anal acrobats movie

[00:52:27] yeah

[00:52:29] i'll fall asleep during this one too

[00:52:32] four hours

[00:52:33] fucking bet

[00:52:35] fucking bet

[00:52:35] i'll sleep

[00:52:36] co-workers were talking about comic book movies the other day

[00:52:39] and yeah

[00:52:39] i fell asleep during

[00:52:40] the justice league snyder cut

[00:52:42] that's four hours long

[00:52:44] and they're like really

[00:52:45] yeah i just like woke up

[00:52:47] i asked my friends if i missed anything

[00:52:48] and they all had this really sad look on their face

[00:52:50] and they're like no

[00:52:53] you missed the scene where uh

[00:52:55] the flash eats a hot dog really slowly

[00:52:57] that's about it

[00:52:58] is that really a thing that happens

[00:53:00] uh

[00:53:01] okay so iris is in a car crash

[00:53:04] he's in a job interview at a doggy daycare

[00:53:07] he notices the car crash happening

[00:53:09] it's the flash

[00:53:09] he can move faster than

[00:53:10] life and time itself

[00:53:12] so he goes

[00:53:12] he fixes the whole car crash thing

[00:53:14] uh

[00:53:15] he gets iris out of the way

[00:53:16] and then he grabs a hot dog

[00:53:18] from the local hot dog vendor

[00:53:19] feeds all the dogs

[00:53:22] if the doggy daycare

[00:53:23] a hot dog

[00:53:24] and then is like

[00:53:25] has one in his hand

[00:53:26] as he

[00:53:27] gets time back to normal

[00:53:28] but that takes

[00:53:29] ten fucking minutes

[00:53:30] in the film

[00:53:31] what i just told you

[00:53:34] takes ten minutes

[00:53:35] because he's

[00:53:36] zach snyder

[00:53:37] slow motion

[00:53:38] everything in that movie

[00:53:39] takes forever

[00:53:39] yeah that movie is a

[00:53:41] a slog

[00:53:42] if you break it up

[00:53:43] into hour long things

[00:53:44] and it's like an episode

[00:53:45] yeah

[00:53:46] it's an enjoyable experience

[00:53:47] but i could not watch it

[00:53:49] all the way through

[00:53:49] i had to break it in half

[00:53:51] but i think if you did it

[00:53:53] even shorter

[00:53:53] if you did just you know

[00:53:54] like

[00:53:55] hour segments

[00:53:56] you could do it

[00:53:57] kind of like when they did

[00:53:58] uh

[00:53:58] the hateful eight

[00:53:59] when netflix released

[00:54:01] the big director's cut

[00:54:02] of hateful eight

[00:54:02] they chopped it up

[00:54:03] into four parts

[00:54:04] and that worked

[00:54:05] yeah i watched that

[00:54:06] and i forgot that was

[00:54:07] director's cut

[00:54:07] but yeah it worked

[00:54:08] it flowed a little better

[00:54:09] it gave you time to go

[00:54:10] like a pee break

[00:54:11] or like

[00:54:11] yes

[00:54:12] or like

[00:54:12] i'm gonna save this

[00:54:14] for another day

[00:54:15] or something along those lines

[00:54:17] sometimes that works

[00:54:18] seeing like

[00:54:19] how fucking bad

[00:54:20] the justice league stuff is

[00:54:22] and all the snyder verse

[00:54:23] stuff is

[00:54:24] and like

[00:54:25] how coherent

[00:54:26] and pretty tight

[00:54:27] like the matt reeves

[00:54:29] stuff is

[00:54:29] yeah it is pretty interesting

[00:54:31] isn't it

[00:54:32] like

[00:54:32] maybe we don't need this

[00:54:34] maybe we don't need

[00:54:35] a 200 million dollar movie

[00:54:36] that makes no sense

[00:54:38] and has

[00:54:39] a terrible

[00:54:39] flimsy plot

[00:54:40] about the mother box

[00:54:43] you know what

[00:54:44] i'm gonna be petty

[00:54:45] like

[00:54:45] i don't

[00:54:45] i don't want

[00:54:46] like

[00:54:47] the villain

[00:54:48] darkseed

[00:54:48] darkside

[00:54:49] well his minion

[00:54:50] oh steppenwolf

[00:54:51] steppenwolf

[00:54:51] fucking stupid name

[00:54:52] i like to do

[00:54:54] steppenwolf right

[00:54:55] yeah yeah yeah

[00:54:55] i feel like he picked

[00:54:57] probably some of the worst characters

[00:54:59] like bring fucking

[00:55:00] okay

[00:55:00] is the villain gonna be

[00:55:01] kite man

[00:55:03] that's a perfect segue

[00:55:04] because it is now time

[00:55:05] for the breath mint

[00:55:06] yes it is

[00:55:06] it's time for your mom's

[00:55:09] favorite part of the show

[00:55:10] it's time

[00:55:12] for the breath mint

[00:55:14] and buddy

[00:55:14] do i have a breath mint

[00:55:15] for you

[00:55:16] all right

[00:55:16] deadpool and wolverine

[00:55:18] what if uh

[00:55:19] what if the wolverine said

[00:55:21] f*** it

[00:55:21] sadly he doesn't

[00:55:23] but what's

[00:55:24] safe to say

[00:55:25] retarded

[00:55:26] yeah exactly

[00:55:28] please i can't be

[00:55:29] cancelled twice

[00:55:31] oh yeah he does say

[00:55:32] that in the movie

[00:55:33] they're gonna cancel us

[00:55:34] you say all

[00:55:34] you say all

[00:55:36] so

[00:55:38] deadpool and wolverine

[00:55:39] um

[00:55:40] i wanted to like it

[00:55:41] i wanted to like it

[00:55:42] very very much

[00:55:43] i gave it a three stars

[00:55:44] on letterbox

[00:55:44] only because

[00:55:45] a number of things

[00:55:46] went right

[00:55:47] their music selection

[00:55:48] as always

[00:55:48] on point

[00:55:49] they kind of skewer

[00:55:50] the whole multiverse

[00:55:51] thing with marvel movies

[00:55:52] i love that they got

[00:55:53] some really great

[00:55:54] actual cameos

[00:55:56] that kind of felt like

[00:55:57] okay

[00:55:58] they're kind of serious

[00:55:59] about this

[00:56:00] so the basic plot

[00:56:01] of the movie

[00:56:02] i don't know if you've

[00:56:02] seen this

[00:56:03] have you seen this

[00:56:03] yet

[00:56:03] i haven't seen this

[00:56:05] do you have any interest

[00:56:06] in seeing deadpool

[00:56:07] i feel like most of

[00:56:08] it's already been

[00:56:09] spoiled and you know

[00:56:10] me i'm the sort of

[00:56:11] person where i can

[00:56:12] usually have media

[00:56:12] spoiled for me

[00:56:13] it doesn't matter

[00:56:14] it's really just more

[00:56:15] like oh okay now i

[00:56:16] have a framework

[00:56:17] like my brain is like

[00:56:18] if someone's

[00:56:20] spoiled for me as

[00:56:21] it were if i'm not

[00:56:22] like super precious

[00:56:22] about it then it

[00:56:24] just gives me like

[00:56:24] an outline to be

[00:56:25] like okay now i'm

[00:56:26] watching it i'm trying

[00:56:27] to not necessarily

[00:56:28] think ahead of the

[00:56:28] movie like okay well

[00:56:29] how does it connect

[00:56:30] these dots how well

[00:56:31] does it perform to

[00:56:33] this outline if

[00:56:34] you're really keen

[00:56:35] on seeing and i

[00:56:35] recommend seeing it's

[00:56:36] on video on demand

[00:56:37] right now if you want

[00:56:38] to avoid spoilers i'd

[00:56:40] say skip ahead about

[00:56:41] oh two minutes or so

[00:56:42] so the basic premise

[00:56:43] of it is this

[00:56:45] deadpool has fucked

[00:56:46] up so much that he's

[00:56:48] gone back to just

[00:56:49] like i threw the

[00:56:50] suit away i'm

[00:56:51] living as wade

[00:56:52] wilson i got my

[00:56:54] friends i got my

[00:56:55] ex wife's fine

[00:56:56] the time variance

[00:56:57] authority from the

[00:56:58] loki show shows up

[00:57:00] and says yeah

[00:57:00] actually your universe

[00:57:01] is gonna die we're

[00:57:02] gonna keep you here

[00:57:04] until your universe

[00:57:05] is dead because you're

[00:57:06] useful why is my

[00:57:07] universe dying well

[00:57:08] an anchor being which

[00:57:09] is a whole stupid

[00:57:11] fucking thing that they

[00:57:11] pick up and then

[00:57:12] abandon your anchor

[00:57:13] being died once that

[00:57:15] happens the universe

[00:57:16] that you're in is

[00:57:17] dying too in this

[00:57:19] case the anchor being

[00:57:20] was old man logan

[00:57:22] from the logan movie

[00:57:24] so they literally dig up

[00:57:26] the corpse of logan

[00:57:28] from logan and it's

[00:57:30] like well i can't he's

[00:57:32] not regenerating so i

[00:57:33] gotta find another

[00:57:34] one so he goes

[00:57:35] universe hopping to

[00:57:37] try to find a

[00:57:38] wolverine that's just

[00:57:39] fucked up enough to

[00:57:40] agree to be his

[00:57:41] universe's wolverine

[00:57:42] so he finds one and

[00:57:45] hugh jackman plays

[00:57:46] wolverine for most of

[00:57:47] them there's a some

[00:57:49] pretty bit of fun stunt

[00:57:50] casting for an

[00:57:51] alternate wolverine which

[00:57:52] i won't spoil because

[00:57:53] it's really a hoot but

[00:57:55] yeah he goes from

[00:57:56] universe to universe

[00:57:57] trying to fight a

[00:57:58] wolverine he gets one

[00:57:59] brings it back but

[00:58:00] then the tva catches

[00:58:01] them both and sends

[00:58:02] them to the void you

[00:58:04] saw loki season one

[00:58:05] you're familiar with

[00:58:06] the void because that's

[00:58:07] where that big smoke

[00:58:08] monster comes and eats

[00:58:09] things they're stuck

[00:58:10] there and they're

[00:58:11] stuck there with all

[00:58:13] these old 20th century

[00:58:15] fox superheroes you

[00:58:18] got your electra from

[00:58:19] the daredevil movie you

[00:58:21] got your blade wesley

[00:58:22] snipes does he blinks he

[00:58:25] does open his eyes the

[00:58:28] character of deadpool

[00:58:28] says yeah i never

[00:58:29] really liked you

[00:58:30] wesley snipes as

[00:58:31] blade yeah the

[00:58:32] feelings mutual you've

[00:58:33] got uh chris evans

[00:58:35] but he's not captain

[00:58:36] america he's johnny

[00:58:37] storm so you've got

[00:58:39] some nice callbacks to

[00:58:40] the fox era even the

[00:58:42] the character who x23

[00:58:44] laura from logan shows

[00:58:46] up there other deadpools

[00:58:48] you've got the long

[00:58:51] abandoned cassandra nova

[00:58:52] if you read the comics

[00:58:54] that is charles xavier's

[00:58:56] twin who tried to murder

[00:58:57] him in the womb

[00:58:59] is that where that

[00:59:00] trope comes from in the

[00:59:01] comics especially but uh

[00:59:03] yeah you got cassandra

[00:59:04] nova you got juggernaut

[00:59:05] strangely in this instance

[00:59:06] not played by vinnie jones

[00:59:08] i was very disappointed

[00:59:09] we almost could have

[00:59:10] had everybody but got a

[00:59:11] guy who was pretty

[00:59:12] close he looks like him

[00:59:15] and like also like

[00:59:16] pretty fucking swole

[00:59:18] yeah we're not wearing a

[00:59:19] muscle suit ray park does

[00:59:20] come back as toad that's

[00:59:22] nice you got the guy

[00:59:23] coming back from x2 as

[00:59:24] the the fire starter guy

[00:59:27] his name that's not his

[00:59:28] right name but you got a

[00:59:29] nice okay remember when

[00:59:32] 20th century fox was doing

[00:59:33] x-men movies and they were

[00:59:34] kind of fun hey remember

[00:59:36] electra no well it's a two

[00:59:40] hour long movie it feels

[00:59:41] really long by like 15

[00:59:42] minutes there's a lot of

[00:59:44] great action sequences i

[00:59:46] have to give it that they

[00:59:47] really know how to shoot

[00:59:48] their action scenes well they

[00:59:49] even do a riff on the old

[00:59:51] boy hallway because it

[00:59:52] starts on a street and then

[00:59:53] it goes into a bus and it

[00:59:54] goes out the back of the

[00:59:55] bus yeah they do a whole

[00:59:57] fight sequence inside a

[00:59:58] honda odyssey which is

[01:00:00] just it's just wolverine and

[01:00:01] deadpool kicking the shit

[01:00:02] out of each other five

[01:00:04] minutes straight it's

[01:00:05] wonderful but cassandra

[01:00:06] nova as a villain is

[01:00:07] interesting and she's

[01:00:08] played with this really

[01:00:09] icy perfection i cannot

[01:00:11] remember the woman's name

[01:00:11] who plays her but this is

[01:00:13] really interesting tba is

[01:00:14] useless just like they are

[01:00:16] in the loki show there's a

[01:00:18] bit of tomfoolery at the

[01:00:19] end there overall i mean

[01:00:21] it's a fun ride it's largely

[01:00:23] inconsequential because they

[01:00:25] gotta keep it going they

[01:00:26] gotta keep going they also

[01:00:27] don't know what they're

[01:00:28] doing anymore well there's

[01:00:30] that it's a gentle way to

[01:00:32] bring deadpool into the mcu

[01:00:34] now that 20th century fox is

[01:00:35] no longer a studio so they

[01:00:37] kind of and they keep making

[01:00:39] reference to oh yeah well

[01:00:40] can you believe we're saying

[01:00:41] this in a disney movie wink

[01:00:43] wink i fuck off yeah

[01:00:45] intentionally fuck you come

[01:00:47] oh yeah but you can say it

[01:00:50] but you can't show it and

[01:00:52] say that's the and there's

[01:00:54] also a line about like do

[01:00:55] you want to do cocaine

[01:00:56] feige said that was the one

[01:00:58] thing we can't do what about

[01:01:01] bolivia marching powder he

[01:01:02] knows all the references they

[01:01:04] have as a list so there's a

[01:01:06] long-running riff about doing

[01:01:08] coke on screen which feels kind

[01:01:10] of personal it's kind of

[01:01:14] weird but ryan reynolds also

[01:01:15] has meets multiple versions of

[01:01:17] himself in the movie not just

[01:01:20] because there's multiple dead

[01:01:21] pools but because there's like

[01:01:22] there's a nice pool who's like

[01:01:25] ryan reynolds hair yeah with the

[01:01:26] beautiful hair and hey van milder

[01:01:28] he calls him you know like

[01:01:30] there's a dog pool and a lady

[01:01:32] dead pool and a western dead pool

[01:01:33] and a sci-fi dead pool and a kid

[01:01:36] dead pool who's like fuck you

[01:01:38] old man you know giving him the

[01:01:39] finger and like it's largely a

[01:01:41] movie in search of a purpose

[01:01:42] that's my problem with dead

[01:01:44] pool wolverine okay who is this

[01:01:46] for people who want to see hugh

[01:01:47] jackman in the yellow suit okay

[01:01:49] you got that for a big chunk of

[01:01:51] the movie fine poking the movie

[01:01:53] with a stick going do something

[01:01:54] i was kind of disappointed they

[01:01:56] were going to go that direction

[01:01:58] with trying to riff on the

[01:02:01] multiverse stuff i mean they kind

[01:02:03] of do it in a way that's like

[01:02:04] okay they realize this is

[01:02:06] ridiculous just as much as you and

[01:02:07] i do but that doesn't make it

[01:02:09] any better you're still doing it

[01:02:10] i agree and i still think the

[01:02:13] weird little version of the x-men

[01:02:17] universe that they had carved out

[01:02:19] with the first dead pool movies

[01:02:21] because they you know they had to

[01:02:23] budgets were so weird and the

[01:02:25] licensing was so weird that like you

[01:02:27] had to get like we can give you

[01:02:29] like one c-tier x-men and one d-tier

[01:02:33] and they're like okay what about

[01:02:35] negasonic teenage warhead like from

[01:02:38] which is a character that no one

[01:02:39] remembers no outside of the early

[01:02:41] 90s well because that one didn't

[01:02:42] they also split her off and do x-force

[01:02:44] too with i did appreciate that they

[01:02:47] kind continued the fucking losers

[01:02:49] club and dead pool 2 yeah with pete

[01:02:52] with a but played by uh john not rob

[01:02:55] delaney rob delaney one of the

[01:02:56] nicest men i've ever met well he's

[01:02:58] back he's in he's in wolverine

[01:03:00] deadpool isn't he also a dead pool

[01:03:02] people yes amazing people does make an

[01:03:07] appearance and it's probably the

[01:03:08] highlight of the latter half of the

[01:03:10] movie yeah that's great that's great

[01:03:11] he uh rob delaney is a treasure oh

[01:03:14] really sweet thoughtful guy um and

[01:03:17] also pretty damn funny one of the one

[01:03:19] of the craziest stories about finding

[01:03:21] sobriety oh god yeah he like broke like

[01:03:24] i think all the bones in his body

[01:03:26] pretty much his books these

[01:03:29] autobiographical books are just

[01:03:31] stunning that comedy series he did the

[01:03:33] one about where he knocks up the

[01:03:34] britishly yeah i forget what that's

[01:03:36] called but and now i have to just

[01:03:38] because i i loved it so much and the

[01:03:40] show i was looking for by the way is

[01:03:41] called catastrophe that's right he

[01:03:44] plays a character named rob so that's

[01:03:45] fine yeah i only saw the first season

[01:03:49] well the second is great because they

[01:03:51] lean into having carrie fisher in it

[01:03:53] he's just a hoot i love rob delaney

[01:03:55] he's a he's a treasure yeah

[01:03:58] absolutely absolutely um really uh

[01:04:01] great follow on twitter oh god yes i

[01:04:04] love that guy but uh but yeah he's so

[01:04:06] he's in the deadpool thing and and boy

[01:04:08] he's just a hoot about you brian you

[01:04:10] got anything uh gosh we're gonna keep

[01:04:12] this a comic book fucking theme

[01:04:13] absolutely have you watched the penguin

[01:04:15] i have not watched the penguin tell me

[01:04:17] about the penguin i want to know about

[01:04:18] the penguin colin farrell yes yeah

[01:04:20] acting his fucking ass i bet it takes

[01:04:23] place not long after it feels like days

[01:04:26] after the end of the batman and there is

[01:04:30] a power vacuum because uh you know

[01:04:33] falcone is dead falcone uh john totoro

[01:04:36] rest in peace no he's alive but the

[01:04:39] character's character has has died and

[01:04:42] there is a quick chain of events of the

[01:04:46] penguin trying to secure his position and

[01:04:50] he gets into the iceberg club and he

[01:04:52] goes into falcone's private uh i guess

[01:04:55] residence in there and he knows where

[01:04:57] falcone had like his oppo

[01:05:00] people and so he you know cracks open

[01:05:03] this wall and he grabs there's like

[01:05:05] jewels and a bunch of other shit

[01:05:06] and falcone's son appears who's now

[01:05:11] been delegated as the new head of the

[01:05:14] crime family sure and his son if you are

[01:05:17] not familiar with the comic books is

[01:05:20] almost always portrayed as like a

[01:05:22] psychopath mm-hmm or at least a

[01:05:24] shithead fail son there's a i feel like

[01:05:28] a couple storylines and a couple

[01:05:29] iterations of alberto falcone that uh i

[01:05:33] think in some stories he is he he is

[01:05:36] released from arkham yes long halloween

[01:05:39] was the one i think that's which is a

[01:05:40] great little uh little graphic novel

[01:05:43] little one-off yeah the because that's

[01:05:45] he's the holiday killer in that yep

[01:05:47] which is their kind of replacement for

[01:05:48] calendar man yeah calendar man does

[01:05:52] alberto uh is not long for the world

[01:05:55] and he is belligerent towards oz and oz

[01:06:00] loses his temper and fucking mercs the

[01:06:02] dude hell yeah so uh oswald has his dead

[01:06:06] body he's like what am i gonna do and he

[01:06:09] goes out to his maserai there's some

[01:06:11] fucking kids trying to lift like the

[01:06:13] fucking wheels and uh he shoots at the

[01:06:16] car he misses and there's one kid that

[01:06:19] doesn't doesn't get away i believe his

[01:06:22] name is victor and victor kind of

[01:06:25] becomes his lackey under the threat of

[01:06:28] death okay and is implied that oswald's

[01:06:31] gonna kill this kid okay but then he

[01:06:34] realizes that like maybe that's not fair

[01:06:36] yeah and so decides to make him uh his

[01:06:41] lackey and kind of like try to teach him

[01:06:44] up in the way of being a uh a mafia tough

[01:06:48] that introduce him to this world to give

[01:06:51] him the street smarts and that hopefully

[01:06:53] he can make more out of himself than being

[01:06:56] like a fucking street hoodlum huh okay

[01:06:59] and so the first episode is mostly about

[01:07:03] this this power vacuum about oswald and

[01:07:08] victor kind of becoming chummy with each

[01:07:10] other and victor also being uh used to

[01:07:13] help like you know move the body around

[01:07:15] and alberto's sister sophia sophia she's

[01:07:19] the one that is i'm not a huge batman guy

[01:07:22] but i believe she's nor like usually not

[01:07:26] like the broken sibling generally no she's

[01:07:29] flipped around here she's the one that

[01:07:30] comes out arkham and she is actually if

[01:07:33] you find out in the second episode she is

[01:07:35] known as the serial killer uh the hangman

[01:07:37] yes okay and uh i don't know if that

[01:07:41] rings any bells to you sort of kind of

[01:07:43] i vaguely remember the name yeah it seems

[01:07:45] like one of those weird dc one shoot one

[01:07:47] shot type of deals yeah but it's like

[01:07:50] interesting because i do like smaller

[01:07:53] stories and you're kind of scratching that

[01:07:56] soprano's itch because you got the mafioso

[01:07:58] stuff yeah but you also have some comic

[01:08:03] book shit like you're still seeing

[01:08:04] references to uh the riddler mm-hmm not a lot

[01:08:08] of references to batman there's a lot of

[01:08:10] references to the mayor elect yeah their aoc

[01:08:13] stand-in

[01:08:17] i forgot about that yeah bella real you're

[01:08:20] only two episodes in but it's very compelling

[01:08:22] it's very well done colin farrell again

[01:08:25] acting his ass off as he did in the batman

[01:08:28] as well yeah a man of circumstances like a

[01:08:31] guy that like i didn't want to get into this

[01:08:34] because like i fucking love being a fucking

[01:08:37] hoodlum or being a mafia guy it's just like

[01:08:39] this is how i figured out how to make shit

[01:08:41] work in the movie you kind of think he's

[01:08:43] somebody and he was falcon's right-hand man

[01:08:46] but with falcon dead he's no longer in that

[01:08:49] position and so he's trying to you know keep

[01:08:53] his uh his neck off the chopping block

[01:08:56] it's just interesting to see a character like

[01:08:59] the penguin who has in all these different

[01:09:01] iterations and the dc media to be kind of a

[01:09:04] sweaty guy yeah he's confident and he's

[01:09:08] calculated but he kind of fucks up but when

[01:09:11] he fucks up he's smart enough to kind of

[01:09:13] swing it back in his his way and that's kind

[01:09:16] of the fun of it is seeing how he is how the

[01:09:19] pendulum is swinging above him the sword of

[01:09:21] damocles just hanging this thing is dangling

[01:09:24] against him and he's like almost he knows

[01:09:26] it's going to drop and he knows when it

[01:09:28] drops he's got to turn the right way but

[01:09:30] until then he can't take his eye off of it

[01:09:32] which is a very sopranos type of vibe yeah

[01:09:35] the inevitable yeah it's coming gotta survive

[01:09:38] long enough to at least say you had fun or

[01:09:40] you got what did you want what you wanted

[01:09:41] interesting so it's it's fun um it's a

[01:09:45] little too sopranos-y for most people i think

[01:09:48] well yeah again um i think the matt reeves

[01:09:51] iteration of gotham is compelling yeah much

[01:09:55] better than the old tv version of gotham

[01:09:57] from the television show the same name

[01:10:00] yeah i felt like that was a little bunch it

[01:10:02] feels grounded but also a little fantastical

[01:10:05] which is what you need it feels familiar but

[01:10:08] uh different it feels like something a

[01:10:11] little bit out of time out of our reality

[01:10:14] but not too far removed and again like it

[01:10:18] works i i do hate that there's a lot of

[01:10:20] stuff that's obviously shot on the volume

[01:10:21] hmm uh fuck you the volume all my homies

[01:10:25] hate the volume always hate the volume it

[01:10:28] only works for certain things it shouldn't be

[01:10:30] used for everything right it shouldn't be

[01:10:32] used as a an excuse for not hiring uh union

[01:10:36] workers or the rear projection because i mean

[01:10:40] even kubrick used rear projection like

[01:10:42] there's a reason rear projection exists and

[01:10:45] the volume is not it but it's fun um i'm

[01:10:47] i'm enjoying it it's again if you've read a

[01:10:51] few batman one-offs that deal with that part of

[01:10:55] the batman narrative it's a lot of fun like

[01:10:57] if you've read the long halloween i forget

[01:10:59] there's a couple others it's a hoot there's

[01:11:02] enough there's enough to chew on if you're if

[01:11:04] you've read those and enjoyed those and if

[01:11:06] you're not familiar the characters are

[01:11:08] compelling enough on their own the uh

[01:11:10] lady playing uh sophia christina milani

[01:11:15] is killing it yeah like i mean a lot of

[01:11:18] people are really doing a great job acting

[01:11:20] wise her in particular very much feels like a

[01:11:24] real ass mob boss daughter she's introduced in

[01:11:27] the at least in the first two episodes as

[01:11:30] someone who is pretty consistently

[01:11:33] underestimated i mean you know she was in

[01:11:34] sopranos she was one of meadows friends

[01:11:36] that's right

[01:11:39] huh i'm intrigued very intrigued the

[01:11:43] interesting thing okay so you mentioned the

[01:11:45] guy who plays uh vic falconi yeah he was in a

[01:11:50] marvel project uh a tv version of runaways

[01:11:53] which was a brian vaughn a brian cave on uh

[01:11:56] comic so so he's done both sides of the

[01:11:59] fence now he's done the marvel and the dc

[01:12:01] that's pretty interesting brian cave on what

[01:12:03] guy yeah uh you you gave me a saga that's a

[01:12:06] brian vaughn book in them yeah

[01:12:08] yeah brian cave on and uh he did uh

[01:12:09] paper girls which is a favorite of mine

[01:12:11] brian vaughn i mean jesus christ he he's got a

[01:12:14] cv that's a mile long yeah and all of it from

[01:12:17] what i can tell is fantastic so i'm very

[01:12:19] excited about the penguin i want to see it

[01:12:21] i i got a couple things i can riff on if you

[01:12:23] have oh do you have anything you have

[01:12:24] something else gravity the movie the movie

[01:12:27] uh sandra bullock i was gonna say you have

[01:12:29] sandra bullock i'm like alfonso

[01:12:35] mongoose alfonso curons boy to go from and your

[01:12:39] mother too to this sci-fi epic this was 2013 2014

[01:12:43] somewhere in there 2014 oh i had to say like

[01:12:47] buffalo bill or either sandra bullock was in

[01:12:49] space

[01:12:54] alienated from her family

[01:12:56] so my daughter said something about like oh you

[01:12:58] know we learned about stuff about space this

[01:13:00] week and i thought it was really cool i'm

[01:13:02] like well that it's spooky month and it's a

[01:13:05] movie about space perfect let's watch gravity and i

[01:13:08] think everybody really enjoyed it you didn't

[01:13:10] watch that one brad pitt movie oh uh at astra i

[01:13:13] liked that i liked it too yeah it was great it

[01:13:16] was a little silly but the fuck the the the

[01:13:19] spaceship full the full of piss off monkeys

[01:13:23] come on what's not to laugh i fucking love

[01:13:25] that part i'm like yeah it is scary it is

[01:13:28] very scary imagine you're in the depths of

[01:13:30] space and you're like what's here like ah

[01:13:32] fucked up apes oh no the apes the apes they

[01:13:36] they learned to be mad which they could have

[01:13:39] done on earth nowhere else nowhere else can we

[01:13:42] engineer prime apes to be that pissed they

[01:13:46] can't get it they can't get out they're

[01:13:48] they're pissed yeah they they can't remember

[01:13:51] their login for netflix they're human mad so

[01:13:56] they could watch ad astra yeah so they but no

[01:13:59] gravity is a great time at the movies if you

[01:14:01] haven't seen it i highly recommend it it won a

[01:14:04] bunch of awards that year when it came out

[01:14:06] in your right i think it was 2014 and george

[01:14:09] clooney sandra bullock it really is just those

[01:14:12] two because everyone else is killed off right

[01:14:15] away it's stunning when you see it in you know

[01:14:18] 120 inches up here and you got the big sound

[01:14:22] system going um it really is a stunning movie

[01:14:25] it's fantastic um i really think i'm very thankful i

[01:14:28] got to see on the big screen yeah that was my one of one

[01:14:32] of very few film related regrets is that i did not

[01:14:34] get to see gravity on the big screen uh it's super

[01:14:37] simple stuck in space space debris fucks your shit up now

[01:14:41] you're spinning untethered in the darkness of space how do you get home

[01:14:47] and that's the whole movie it's a lot shorter than i remember it's only about

[01:14:51] 90 minutes it moves at a pretty good clip it has a couple slow moments just to

[01:14:55] kind of reset things the pacing but then it you know it doesn't take

[01:15:02] too long before it starts ramping up again yeah it definitely keeps a nice

[01:15:05] rhythm and and by the end of the film you're just oh god it's over oh jesus

[01:15:12] oh shit oh fuck oh shit yeah over and over again the movie gives you oh shit oh fuck moments

[01:15:18] and damn that was gravity yeah gravity did that gravity did that my least favorite piece of

[01:15:24] commentary on that was fucking neil degrasse tyson was like uh they should have called it

[01:15:28] angular momentum the movie i'm like fuck you man fuck you it's a movie about shut up

[01:15:35] shut up neil degrasse tyson fuck off actually you can't eat all the pussy

[01:15:41] it would be physically impossible to get all the pussy

[01:15:43] he would say some nerd shit like that wouldn't he i still think about the michael hale tweet

[01:15:52] somebody using his laptop on the train like a dumbass nerd i think was

[01:15:58] and everyone's correcting him he's like uh i think i would know that was

[01:16:02] but other than that what it would uh you know um i'll do a little quick show rundown here yeah

[01:16:08] um got to photograph jungle the british neo soul edm group named after the genre no it's

[01:16:17] no it's not named after it's not jungle music yeah yeah that's what confused me okay it's it feels so

[01:16:23] it feels like if justice like they're more like brassy bombastic compositions okay were performed with a real band

[01:16:33] instead of like okay shit being triggered on like ableton okay i thought i was maybe mistaken i had seen a performance

[01:16:41] of them on t that was on a tv show where they had an actual like brass band with them and i was like oh

[01:16:46] that's cool as hell did not have a brass band with them but they did have several musicians with them

[01:16:51] sounded great unfortunately british or basically non-american bands have a really fucking weird idea

[01:16:58] of how media works here okay and they're really oddly strict so myself and the other house photographer

[01:17:07] we got to shoot four songs and then we were like kicked out of the venue

[01:17:13] and so there's like two or three people i know that were at that show texting me like dude this is

[01:17:17] so fucking crazy i'm like i'm already home sorry i'm already in bed i'm glad you have fucking cool

[01:17:21] time the four songs i got to photograph were tight as hell right i wish i could have stayed right but

[01:17:27] that was really cool i really like my photos uh it was a super good time the opener uh bass b-a-s is

[01:17:35] like suit the sunni's rapper from like queens and he was a ton of fucking fun had no idea who this guy

[01:17:42] was i listened to a couple of songs uh beforehand i was like okay i could fuck with this but just a

[01:17:47] great vibe um someone that i hope comes around through st louis again it's like oh wow what great

[01:17:52] energy and then showing the body high viz and special interest and uh bib uh hardcore band that i only saw

[01:18:02] like the last couple songs of their set didn't really get the photograph them they sounded really

[01:18:06] cool apparently the guitar player is from here in st louis it was a super fucking fun cool show special

[01:18:12] interests um where everything i wanted to be just weird and trashy and uh kind of scary for for three

[01:18:21] for three uh like non-white queer people oh yeah electro punk band it was like oh i i think these

[01:18:28] people would like yell at me if like i smiled weird and then high viz who i've photographed before

[01:18:35] and the same room off broadway were fucking great way worse lighting for everything which was a bummer

[01:18:41] but i made it work i had to fucking beat the shit out of those image files i haven't had to fucking

[01:18:46] game the system as it were in light room for gosh i feel like a decade yeah post processing yeah they

[01:18:53] barely look like photos they don't even look like they look like compositions like i oh wow

[01:18:57] they're rough wow but like that's how bad i mean i was shooting at the highest iso my camera

[01:19:02] and try i mean these are punk bands heavy bands they're moving quick so i say yeah they're moving

[01:19:09] all around kind of trying to keep it around one over 400 100 500 exposure speed not going great but

[01:19:16] uh the photos turned out fine but uh high viz were good i'm fucking god damn what i can't wait for the

[01:19:23] new record comes out in the month animal sniffers also have uh a new record coming out the end of

[01:19:28] the month everything off that fucking sounds tight and i think they're the rumors are doing the big

[01:19:32] ass us tour early next year so i'm very stoked about that the headliner there was show me the body

[01:19:39] which is a three-piece death grind just like super fucking heavy it's heavy metal banjo

[01:19:49] almost post hardcore bands is wikipedia i can see that yeah i just did not expect that i was not

[01:19:54] familiar with their swagger i like had listened to their music i have been familiar with them as an

[01:19:59] entity but didn't know what their live shows were like and it turns out their live shows are fucking

[01:20:04] insane i just didn't expect a banjo to sound that fucking heavy all this crazy shit to happen

[01:20:10] the dude they have a song with the singer from high viz he came out and did his song

[01:20:14] and then like their guy that was doing merch came out and like wrapped

[01:20:21] yeah okay and the guy doing their merch had a fucking pre-roll on his ear it fucking ruled i don't

[01:20:29] know what he was rapping about because it was just like what the he just like came out of nowhere

[01:20:32] and it's really hard to come out of nowhere on the stage off broadway but it felt like that dude just

[01:20:38] like zipped yeah and fucking uh the singer had his mic out was holding his mic out and i had i was using a

[01:20:45] telephoto lens so it's probably also why it just came out of nowhere and you see like a dude in a

[01:20:49] green shirt just like like a flash and all of a sudden i hear someone rapping i'm like it's the merch guy

[01:20:55] the merch guy is fucking doing like this aggro like death grips kind of fucking flow

[01:21:02] which i'm fucking with and i'm like the fuck everything and they did a fucking cover of uh

[01:21:08] sabotage by beastie boys hell yeah it was quite an amazing show i don't think i could skip seeing them

[01:21:16] it sounds like that's the kind of show you don't want to skip yeah i was i was super super impressed um

[01:21:22] they had lighting that was coming up from the floor like spotlights like floodlighting

[01:21:27] okay that was really interesting and um i got some really cool photos of that that was one of the

[01:21:34] easier uh things i photographed um last week but fuck what a show well a little long and i kind of

[01:21:42] expected it to go that way but it must be a troubled tour because like the three or four dates before st

[01:21:48] louis uh they kept like hey um we're not playing you know this room in chicago we're playing you know

[01:21:55] a three four hundred cap the same size off broadway but like the last three or four shows before st louis

[01:22:01] we're all like on social media like hey we're not playing a bigger room we are being downgraded

[01:22:06] uh which has to not be great for one's ego but in the being kind of packed yeah as far as off

[01:22:12] broadway goes off broadway is like a 400 cap mike judy used to always like at the firebird be like

[01:22:17] you know it's a 500 cap room it's one of these fucking teeny bopper hardcore show like you know

[01:22:21] fucking screamo bands if it's like um uh parachute or um i'm trying to think there was some bands he

[01:22:29] booked where he like actually did for as far as ticking goes put 500 people because they were all

[01:22:35] like 14 year old kids with snake bites yeah of course you don't take up as many space much space

[01:22:42] as like the fat diet bags to come and see like trice or thrice fair enough yeah like if it's a bunch of

[01:22:49] it was a bunch of fucking yokels uh here to see fucking local h right put about 350 of them and

[01:22:56] them kids they don't need so much space to enjoy the music you see you can film in there like sardines

[01:23:02] get them in there get them in there yeah oh you watch your little shirt there timmy that's gonna be

[01:23:07] 35 buckaroos oh boy those those fucking cool yeah sounds like it i really enjoyed it um

[01:23:14] you know i'm a little dumb i'm a little what sometimes what i know no one listening is surprised

[01:23:23] that i i doubt my mental capacities i realized no one was buying any merch from special interest i was

[01:23:30] not necessarily feeling a little bad but i was like i should buy something like i got i got some

[01:23:34] money in my pocket they have one they have long sleeve and like that's one thing about like hardcore

[01:23:40] things like why are those dudes always wearing like long sleeveless shit print that's just not my

[01:23:44] vibe i'm not really let's cover the tattoos of the day job is that really yeah oh so you cover

[01:23:50] every tattoo is at your day job but you can also be like yo dude i fucking i love that's right

[01:23:54] yeah guillotine dicks you got it guillotine dicks from sheboygan those are my boys you can wear it

[01:24:00] underneath your polo with the best buy yeah you can amazing i never thought that it's like the same

[01:24:06] thing about like metal dudes doing vespas like it's because they got duis the dui square

[01:24:14] but they had a short sleeve and the the back graphic it was a front print in the back print

[01:24:19] i couldn't see the back print that well and the lighting and like also i was tired but the front print

[01:24:26] because the uh main person special interest she's also like a like amateur film person okay and they're

[01:24:33] kind of like a little little edgy and so the front of the shirt is made to look like it's an employee

[01:24:39] shirt for a like porno shop in the middle of nowhere okay so it says special interest exotic media library

[01:24:47] something along those lines okay and it has an address for like some podunk town

[01:24:51] like texas or something like that and i'm like fuck i'll buy it and i bought it from the keyboard player

[01:24:56] who was a very polite gay man which all keyboard players are deep down and i was like i want i want to

[01:25:02] get that shirt he kind of paused for a second he's like okay and i'm like oh god what am i i'm like

[01:25:09] you know what those things like you know what i'm fuck it i'll give 27 dollars some change to a fucking

[01:25:15] queer punk band from new orleans like fuck it whatever i'm committing to the bit yeah like yeah

[01:25:20] what what else am i going to do with 27 dollars it's gonna be more it's gonna be cooler than that

[01:25:25] right so i get home and they because the shirts were all plastic wrapped oh very professional

[01:25:30] yeah i get home and i take the shirt out of the packaging and i look at the back i throw it on

[01:25:38] the bed and i just have this thought like huh as a straight white man oh no i don't know this is

[01:25:46] something i feel necessarily comfortable wearing this is an archival photo of miss and mrs like

[01:25:54] gay black leather like philadelphia 1985 it is a cool ass photo of two people in some fucking sick

[01:26:03] leather duds like at like a train depot okay it looks cool as hell but i'm thinking like where am i

[01:26:10] gonna wear this where am i gonna wear this i gotta wear this to the store it's one of those things like

[01:26:17] i feel like it brings up more questions than answers yes i have a couple band shirts where i'm

[01:26:23] like this is a really cool object yeah concept of this object is really fucking neat yes it's a thing

[01:26:30] i would want to show that anyone that would come into my house that has interest in art or music like

[01:26:35] look at like what fucking cool shirt right myself as a white guy with the skin of like onion paper

[01:26:44] don't know if i can wear that shirt and be truthful to the world it's difficult it's difficult

[01:26:50] of course you know i asked my ex-girlfriend yeah and she's like i think you can wear it well okay i

[01:26:56] still feel i feel better i really bought it because i like the front graphic i like the idea of like

[01:27:02] the band name also being the name of a porno store because it kind of fits their vibes they're

[01:27:10] trashy and transgressive like that like special interest erotic media library is a great name

[01:27:17] for a porno shop in a highly conservative county in the middle of nowhere absolutely better than lion's

[01:27:23] den if you're sorry for the father that gets that confused with uh lion's choice

[01:27:30] did you're off to eat your edible panties we got we got 16 hours before we can we get to cedar rapids

[01:27:36] or see your point yeah where i'm doing a co-pilot and i'm doing microsoft co-pilot i'm doing microsoft
