[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Hell yeah, what's go?

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_05]: I know, it was like...

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_05]: It was like the...

[00:00:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Save the kitten music.

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Arms angels, yeah.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's like...

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_05]: For one Lucy a day.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_05]: You can keep a warehouse worker from losing his job.

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_05]: If you want to be a better friend to the logistics laborers of America, it's just

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_05]: a doughing, an airport ball of mid-tier whiskey.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And I was like...

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_05]: This game is just like what the fuck?

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I forget that some people just don't know them funny.

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Guy came up to me.

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_05]: He was like, Karabara posted doing all his like, I don't know, you got some Zazaz?

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_05]: And he was like, he's like, like...

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, um...

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_05]: But he was like, look at me, he's like, uh...

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm like, I'm like, I'm good man.

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm just fucking whiskey.

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I've been calling him Zazaz man ever since.

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Zazaz man.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Zazaz man.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_05]: He's like, what's up, man?

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Nice.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I love that shit.

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, god.

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You had an argument with a coworker about what constitutes a proper gumbo.

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_03]: So, you know.

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_04]: That's been my day.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we all got like...

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm...

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Unfortunately, like...

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_05]: One of the things that like...

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_05]: the less...

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_05]: well-performing employees at my job do

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_05]: is that when they like disappear

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_05]: or they like take long breaks

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_05]: and you're like, hey, what's up with that?

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_05]: They're like, oh, we're in the bathroom.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_05]: And like, uh...

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, can't really say so much about that.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_05]: But uh...

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_05]: But you know, I've always said like,

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_05]: pull a couple guys to the side and be like,

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_05]: hey man, like, I really don't give a shit.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_05]: But don't ever give us a reason.

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_05]: It'll give you a second look.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Then you like, do you think you're better than this job?

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Or you're burnt out?

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, do that is perfectly fine.

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_05]: You think you're not getting paid them?

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Perfectly.

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Totally normal.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Don't fucking pay a guitar gun, you're back.

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there's that.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's a bit of a...

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, like, do there's a way the coast

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_05]: and you are not doing it?

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And you don't want to give them that advice

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_03]: because you don't want them to coast

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_03]: but at the same time, you don't want to be like that guy.

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't want to be the micromanager.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I want to be the hardest.

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I have like...

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Who wants to be the one?

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_05]: And like, they've had a couple of my...

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_05]: ...commonites of boredons even like,

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_05]: like, like, guys fucking enough for the rest of us.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, like...

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, like, you're like chill

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_05]: and like...

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_05]: And like, my team's supervisor, like, is pretty chill

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_05]: but like, there's one guy kind of like...

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Fucking it up and we're like, God damn it, man.

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, we're trying...

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_05]: We're trying the not-be assholes here.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Now we got the assholes that everyone

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_05]: because, like, you did this.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_05]: You want to take a third break

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_05]: but don't know how to do it on the slide.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I got one of those.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_05]: We're like, dude, like, you could fucking...

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, you're not slick.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_05]: If you were being slick,

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_05]: we wouldn't be having this conversation.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: We had like three hours late on a Sunday.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, man, I know what happened.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_03]: You partied less than that.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't fucking lie to me.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just got copped to it.

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: It's fine.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Tell me the night before, hey, I'm out.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I might be a little late.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_05]: When other people who are even on your team

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_05]: are knocking on you?

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Bad.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Very bad.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Very bad.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Very bad.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Hey, who's that guy?

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, like, yeah.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_03]: When they can...

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_03]: When they can finger one guy in particular,

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: that's when you know he's fucking up.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Because it's otherwise just like,

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_03]: oh, this team kind of sucks.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Or, you know, like, this shift kind of sucks.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, if they can point to one guy,

[00:04:29] mm.

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, what's up with this dude?

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, I have no idea.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what's going on there.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Anyways, this is 48 men's dogs barking.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_05]: My cohort here is Jason.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Hello Ryan.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_05]: We are smoking on that Danganronpa nuclear vision

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_05]: runs pack on that S2 engine pack.

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Do you SG1000?

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Saga Master System.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Just diesel.

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Hybrid cookie runs.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Ha ha.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Ultimate.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Fukushima levels of sour.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, sir.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we were on that Tokyo three pack.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, we...

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_03]: This is not that boosha.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_05]: We're smoking on the stuff that people make,

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_05]: like are you smoking like a clove?

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_05]: That shit that's so like,

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_05]: people are like, they can't comprehend

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_05]: that it's marijuana.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Are you smoking like a Windows herbal cigarettes?

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the fake ones that they used for the internet?

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_03]: They're not there.

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_03]: They're some shit.

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_03]: That kind of shit.

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's been a weird week.

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously we say that every week,

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_03]: but every week is fucking weirder than the last,

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_03]: not the least of which was the presidential debate.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Brian, did you see the president?

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't watch it.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't watch anything.

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I think my girlfriend had put it on as I was going the bed

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_05]: because I worked so fucking early in the morning.

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Say, yeah, you're not.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_05]: But like, I got like the cliff notes over the last couple days.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And um, it just...

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_05]: It sounds like Trump guys asked Hannah to.

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_05]: But also Kamala Harris did not.

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it was this kind of like,

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_05]: it was at the debate between two Republicans?

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was very weird.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: My kids and I watched it,

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_03]: which was also very weird.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_03]: They're eating the dogs.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep, that was the one.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_03]: That was the line that we kept.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_05]: The legal aliens they come over here

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_05]: so they can become trans.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_03]: They're doing, they're doing trans gender operations

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: on a legal's in prison.

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I think what's the exact line?

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Completely insanity.

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I jerk off to that.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a very specific tab in ex videos.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: We were talking to Brian Mure here

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_03]: in a former president Donald Trump

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_03]: courtesy of Crocodones.

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I look at what's happening to the towns all over

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_01]: the United States and a lot of towns don't want to talk.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Not going to be a rower or Springfield.

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of towns don't want to talk about it

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_01]: because they're so embarrassed by it.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_01]: In Springfield, they're eating the dogs.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_01]: The people that came in,

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: they're eating the cats.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: They're eating, they're eating the pets

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_01]: of the people that live there.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so absolutely fucking insane.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_03]: She baits him with a comment about his rallies.

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_03]: So the previous question was about something else

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_03]: and then she throws in a jab at the end

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_03]: about, you know, there's no enthusiasm on there.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So I know these people are leaving the rallies.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Knowing that he's going to take the bait.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_03]: He takes the bait, start signing out

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_03]: the rallies for 30 seconds and then dive into

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_03]: in Springfield, they're eating the dogs.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_03]: After doing a little digging,

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_03]: this has been kind of a racist conspiracy theory

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_03]: against the Haitian population in Springfield, Ohio.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a very odd situation.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_05]: And there's a similar thing going on in Aurora

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_05]: and also a little bit separate.

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_05]: But this has been kind of a thing going on

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_05]: in the UK for a year or two.

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's been a thing for a while,

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_05]: but there's a no-able thing,

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: at least for us Americans, the notice has been about year two.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_05]: These weird dog whistles and fear mongering about immigrants.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_05]: It's just like I have unbashedly, bigoted and racist

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_05]: and generally baseless.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And just also batshit.

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just come to play a batshit.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I think they're eating, what?

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah dogs?

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_05]: I saw a video of this British far-right person

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_05]: a video of like a bunch of West African North African immigrants

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_05]: and they're like in a hotel

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_05]: and they're just kind of showing off the hotel

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_05]: and they're not really saying anything.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_05]: They're just kind of like one of the dudes

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_05]: playing a song on a cell phone

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_05]: and there's like viving out

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_05]: and like look, they're wearing desire,

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_05]: they're wearing desire clothes

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_05]: and they're telling their friends

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_05]: and their mates to come here

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_05]: because they know we're weak.

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's like, I don't know,

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_05]: they look like they look like

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_05]: they bought some shit from the clearance rack

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_05]: at the sports authority in 2004.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_05]: They all look like they're not stunning.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Their clothes look new.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_05]: They're not wearing desire fits, sir.

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_03]: What do you want them to wear rags

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_03]: and sack-lauth and ashes?

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they're wearing,

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_05]: they're wearing bargain bin,

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_05]: ethylis, or like, yeah.

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Which is fine.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_05]: They kind of don't try to portray that they're wearing,

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_05]: you know, some off the rack shift from like Nordstrom.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I've got the Supreme Hoodies on,

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, whatever.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just ridiculous.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_03]: So the eating the dogs mean made a lot of hay

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_03]: specifically the fact that he mentioned

[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_03]: a town called Springfield.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a good number of people who are way into Simpsons memes

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_03]: immediately glondoned onto it.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_03]: My favorite of which was this one.

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Feargas Kelly, I believe it's furgas,

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_03]: but it spelled feargas.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Feargh-AS Kelly.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Absolute clown his bio reads BBC New Comedy Award,

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: shortlist, S-Y-T-Y funny, semi-finalist.

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I was so you think you're funny.

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And host of screen time at stand Glasgow.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Generally funny, guy spliced the clip from the debate into

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_00]: a song from the Simpsons. Here it is.

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_05]: That's pretty good.

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate that.

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so his post just says,

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I better go super viral for this.

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Doing pretty good there,

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_03]: feargas 35K retweets 141K likes as of 65 million views.

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not too shabby.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Better go super viral.

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you got it.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you're close.

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It's good as you can get on.

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you bet he doesn't have that blue check-in.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_03]: He's not getting those Elon bounce.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Telling you.

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_03]: He's leaving money on the table, on the table.

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So aside from feargas,

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_03]: not everyone's having such a good time with this.

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_03]: The city of Springfield, Ohio's Facebook page,

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_03]: noting that City Hall is closed today because of a bomb.

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Not great.

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Not awesome.

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I believe also has been reported that

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_05]: like the Haitian immigrants live in the Springfield, Ohio.

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I've not been saying their kids are school.

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Like their businesses and their homes are being the face.

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_05]: What a fucking miserable thing.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not great.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_05]: After that I thought we needed some levity.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_03]: No, are you familiar with Shannon Sharpe?

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_03]: You know who Shannon Sharpe is?

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I know the name.

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Not related to Edward Sharpe of Edward Sharpe in the Magna 0.

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_03]: No, not at all.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So Shannon Sharpe, former NFL player, Hall of Famer,

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_03]: and hosts on ESPN.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_03]: So he's on ESPN show.

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got a few other things.

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_03]: He was the talk show that Cat Williams went on over the summer.

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And Shannon Sharpe has an Instagram accounts relatively new.

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And the other day, a four minute video went live of him fucking.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Here's a clip from At Selys World.

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Very clearly just having a good time.

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Someone was having a grace of 10 or 11.

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_03]: An image of the ceiling and then the floor.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And you just hear moaning and trusting and...

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, little smack.

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you Jason for playing all you of an old man pipe and down.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: So the New York Post writing,

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_03]: this is Dylan Savota writing for the New York Post.

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Shannon Sharpe claims his Instagram was hacked after he sexually explicit video

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_03]: was posted as a count on Wednesday.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Not sexually explicit, all you see is the ceiling.

[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You just hear it.

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_05]: The audio is suggest.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And very suggest.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so the video started with the camera point to work what appeared to be the ceiling

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_03]: before turning over and facing down for the rest of the clip.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Sharpe has been private about his dating life.

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_03]: He was previously engaged to fit the striter.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Katie Kelner in 2016 but never married.

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_03]: With more than 3.2 million followers on Instagram thousands of people tuned in

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_03]: for the not-say-for-work live feed.

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Some Instagram users had fun at Sharpe's expense in the comments.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Hang up the phone, big oink, one comment.

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm chipping right now.

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_03]: She sabotage my dog.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Break a news y'all, shake my head.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_03]: He would later than say, oh I was hacked.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Beware.

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It was hacked this morning.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_03]: My team and I are working vigorously to figure this out.

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Signed oink.

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I did not know this but oink apparently is not just

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_03]: referring the fact that he's an older guy but the fact that that's like an actual

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_03]: nickname people call him oink.

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And so he signed it oink on he was on undisputed.

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Now he has a podcast with Chad Ocho Sinko.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I've heard that name in a minute.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I know called Nightcap and it was on Nightcap where he finally admitted,

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_03]: you know what?

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_03]: It was an accident.

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm old.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how to work Instagram.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I pressed a button and tossed my phone on the bed and

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_03]: got to business.

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like well okay you know what that's more believable than I was hacked.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah.

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I have a sneaky suspicion.

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Now I told you this off mic but I have a sneaky suspicion and there's a little bit of

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_03]: trickery of foot that well as was mentioned in that near post article

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_03]: he's been very private about his love life and there were rumors

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_03]: that he was either biorek maybe this was an attempt to be like no no.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm afraid as they come you heard the lady you know that kind of that I can't like a Haitian.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_03]: God damn it.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_05]: You got me there.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think I could watch anyone's Instagram live video for four minutes.

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Garless of what was going on.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_03]: On Nightcap he says obviously my barist something that is extremely

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_03]: extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details the audio

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_03]: heard for the entire world to hear.

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a barist for a number of reasons.

[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know man it sounded like you were getting down.

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm good.

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you need to be embarrassed about that.

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I think maybe it's like oh oops butter fingers maybe you're embarrassed about that part but

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah I don't think it's I don't think it's embarrassing that like your your your bone and no

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_05]: it's embarrassing that you actually hit Instagram live.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think you should be embarrassed for fucking.

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_03]: No it's the broadcasting at part I think is like that yeah.

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Another piece of levity to get our minds off of eating cats and nations and all sorts of other

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_03]: pig me hippo moody.

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_03]: A young pig me hippo named moodyang was born at the cowcoo open zoo in Thailand

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_03]: in July of this year and has since gone a bonkers online look at that face.

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Is there a tiny little hippo?

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I know the name moodyang literally translates to bouncing pork.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_03]: You got a lot of dust stuff but yes the social media accounts were opened in the name of moodyang.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_03]: There was a great yeah piece of art on September 5th by artist at Sart Tannis.

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Little guy just look at the hippo being spray with water from a hose people doing all sorts

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_04]: of fan art look at that little goofy guy.

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It is a female.

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a big me hippo but there's still just nothing like a little a little creator running around.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know why I just was like yeah until moodyang tried to secretly take chicken.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes there is a yes it's gonna get yelled at by the mom you know.

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_03]: But apparently according to the Bangkok post the zoo staff at that zoo had specifically made a request

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_03]: hey knock it off don't throw things at the young animal apparently there were some videos of visitors

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_03]: throwing but look like shellfish while the whalmy hippo was napping.

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And you know like some of them throw some prawns this sleeping animal.

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_05]: This is a completely normal thing to do.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_03]: As you do it's the thing that you do when you go to the zoo don't you?

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean I got a pocket full of shellfish.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I got a pocket pocket full of shellfish.

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Alright that's enough of that.

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And so because of that they've installed CCTV around the enclosure said you know knock it off guys.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: But you know moodyang wonderful love moodyang.

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I don't love Brian crypto scams that's right.

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Better part of a year. Yeah one of the most interesting scams I've seen.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Every crypto influencer was trying to sell out their following on social media for frintac.

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep friend dot tech.

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah you want to explain frintac?

[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you can courtesy of the good folks at dl news.

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Frintac was a social network built on a coin bases busy base block chain.

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And it basically they're shutting down.

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And the investors, the people who created this from the ground up are left holding the bag whilst

[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_03]: the project creators walk away with about $44 million.

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_03]: About a year ago when I launched my little over a year ago.

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_05]: It have very interesting first couple months then it each shit for a long time and then when the

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_05]: market started to show the life again in March bounce back a little.

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_05]: But generally was something that I guess you could say have pump a dead cat bounce and kind of then yeah

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Crired 8% the 90% and then bounce back about 20% off of that low.

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah that's as all she wrote.

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_03]: So what was the pitch for frintac?

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Because if I recall correctly and I'm not I'm not going to be speaking as a authority here

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_05]: myself.

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I never like visit a website or anything like that.

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_05]: But for why can't I understand when I would spend more time

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_05]: perusing crypto to where for weird shit like this?

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_05]: You could buy stock like someone's account is it?

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Or it was a really weird social thing.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Even some like only fans models got into it.

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Some other people outside of the crypto space.

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_05]: But I think what ultimately happened it was a volume scam.

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Which is to say you're you're getting a lot hype, you're getting a lot of transactions,

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_05]: you're getting your as far as the project managers and the people behind the project

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_05]: is that the money is in the fees and the tax and the buy tax or the sell tax or

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_05]: and so that's that's how they ended up walking away with $4 million.

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_05]: That's how a lot of times you will see these pump and dump crypto scams where

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_05]: there's a fair launch, blah blah blah.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_05]: The team doesn't have a tokens but there is like a going to be a marketing wallet or whatever

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_05]: and that's being fed by 2% tax on every buy and every sell

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_05]: and so if you end up having hundreds of millions of dollars of volume

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_05]: in a couple of days or in a week or two I mean 2% of that yeah, you know it's the sizeable

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_05]: amount of money right and there were some crypto projects even a couple last bullet

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_05]: around that had six or seven percent buy and sell tax and end up having ridiculous

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_05]: treasuries that some of them actually did get used for what they were going to get used for

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_05]: which is whatever but you know let go back to a previous crypto scam of the week

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_05]: MCC multi chain capital yes they're seeing there's a dormant treasury wallet from

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_05]: the buy and sell tax of that scam token that I think is at 15 or 16 million dollars

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_05]: sweet chooses and like it's just sitting there and that's the one where they can't access it

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_05]: because everyone's in jail. Oh no no that's the one where the dev Mr. Wonderful

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that's what you was

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_05]: kind of just like ghosted after the market started each shit in early 22 and

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_05]: that was the one where the telegram channel was being kept alive by the telegram mods

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_05]: and one of the guys was posting about how you know this is the crypto wonderful or Mr.

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Wonderful whoever the dev was was actually like a coin base employee and we

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_05]: know surf papers a coin base and all this and I looked at the other day that and it has

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_05]: early progress much further. It's a strange tale I wish it would have a more interesting

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_05]: into it or progress but like it's kind of yeah that's what's going to happen to some of these

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I have a feeling and notable here friend tech venture firms paradigm and notation capital invested

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_03]: in the seed round at an undisclosed valuation many crypto investors bought the token

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: and hopes of profiting from success. Now there is hope as there always is and because hope

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_03]: springs fucking eternal in crypto the original project creators abandoned it there's nothing

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_03]: stopping the apps users or another team from forking it essentially picking up a copy yeah

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_03]: and then tell about a success story sort of solidly that almost forked after it was abandoned

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: and relaunched on base as a new exchange called aerodrome aerodrome has become bases biggest

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_03]: protocol so what they're saying here in this deal news article Tim Craig writing here is that

[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_03]: you know there's hope but I don't know after being burned like that I don't know the

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_05]: new season I think that's I mean that will probably be some sort of zombie project for a

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_03]: period of time so what would set friend tech apart from something like aerodrome like well aerodrome

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_05]: believes in exchange okay so it's more about having a facility there's a lot of bases

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_05]: as far as like understanding what makes that protocol different I just know that it's a coin bases

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_05]: blockchain right and there's a couple projects on there that have been successful like aero

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_05]: but aero is kind of like you swap or you swap on Ethereum or pancake swap on a BSC okay so it's a

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_03]: medium through which funds are moved it's not necessarily have any other utilities it's a it's a

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_05]: a people who are a lot crypto influencers and stuff I have gotten a lot hate and particularly

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_05]: since it dumped really hard to make I've gotten a lot hate because like would you told us to buy

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_05]: your your friend tech portfolio or whatever and yeah it was just wild wild to see how that just

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_03]: each shit yeah because the idea was that you can buy a token and then get access to like

[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_03]: a specific social media user and like chat with them or something if I'm if I'm reading this one

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah I think it was kind of like crypto only fans in the sense that if you had like so many tokens

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_05]: or something like that of a certain influencer or profile then yeah you could have access to

[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_03]: like chatting with them or something like that yeah about half of these influencers I don't

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_05]: okay yeah yeah some guy that's who half is Twitter about how he thinks doge is actually

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_05]: going to a pump to a dollar this cycle and the rest of them are all of these fear-mongering posts

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_05]: about like you know what's going on allegedly in Springfield then he like you realize like this is

[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_03]: like some guy it lives in the Philippines right it's gonna be some guy who's his entire online

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_03]: personality is like doing fronology and like not good the crypto and rain science

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_05]: real shit had an hour's did you see the the Bronze Age pervert like shows his face

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_05]: you showed me yeah yeah and I just remember that like this looks like a guy who like lives

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_05]: in like Southern Ohio drives a be-up fucking trans-am and listens religiously to like anal cut

[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I was thinking then or like Molly hatch it he's got the Molly hatchet language from the last

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_03]: story yeah I don't know something tells me you know he's like yeah I don't know about all these

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_05]: other rock bands man toe from uh mowing the lawn kind of guy at least once if they had

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_05]: the reattach it and he fucking did it just get him oh fuck god damn it that was shock rossier

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_03]: alright well uh it is time for the main subject this week I have not thought about this

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_03]: comic in forever I think about quite often really yeah it goes by a bunch of different names actually

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_05]: it's sometimes called Clementine comics sometimes it's called terrible terrible terrible

[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_03]: sometimes it's also called habits mm-hmm it's also I think there was one called sleepwalking

[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_05]: yes I think that might be the uh the book that the author Lauren Monger released

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_05]: yes apparently immediately sold out but it was repressed in 2019 and uh I'm probably going to buy

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_03]: that yeah again that sounds great this year from an outline article written by McCaila

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Clements in 2015 at Lena based artist Lauren Monger's comic series terrible terrible terrible

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_03]: also known as habits or Clementine comic picked up a small but devoted cult following

[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_03]: with a regular series on vice print mini comic released by space space books that

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_03]: we sold out that was the one that we mentioned just a moment ago and a tumbler full of

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_03]: disquieting but soothing and anthropomorphic animals in hoodies and scuffed jeans I went through

[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_03]: when I read all of terrible terrible terrible terrible that is archived by the way if you will go

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_03]: to archive dot org and you search that uh Clementine comics and you search Lauren Monger you will find

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_03]: the entirety of it it's been scanned and uploaded but I really do appreciate because it

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_03]: makes it a lot easier for us to see just some of the great art I gotta tell you more of

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_03]: it's a fantastic art because it's very sketchlike but there's also the colors great there's

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_03]: some stuff where it's clearly you know paintings but they're all animal people people of the animal

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_03]: heads and this was way before we had a boardjack horseman type of guy yeah and I think it's kind of

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_05]: in line with boys club there's a little bit of there's a little bit of aquean there I think

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think that's intentional I think that's just kind of maybe the tone is a little

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_05]: assily there's some silly stuff though I mean like the first comic is Clementine who is an

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_03]: hippist it's not just any of you yeah in the horse demon that shows up with the speedo

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_03]: says and I quote bay you want some of this you know you want it I bet you're the kind of girl

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_03]: that likes foot massage is bitch I will suck on all of your toes so she's Clementine goes from being

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_05]: very like sweaty about this to sobering up and just saying uh gross and then that's the end it goes

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_03]: onto the next vignette so yeah the aquean bit about being vignettes the super apparent punch line

[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I think gross works as a punch shot but it's not like a it's not like a vaudeville thing yes

[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_03]: it's very subdued and I kind of like that it fits in with the post 90s comics with an ex-boom

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_03]: she even calls them Clementine comics with an ex you know I'm thinking about guys like obviously

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Robert Crom he's kind of an outlier but I'm thinking about like David Eger's or you know somebody

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_03]: like Chris Warr yeah and this kind of influx of art spieglement specifically with the animal heads thing

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_03]: but there's kind of all these influences kind of mashed together but man the colors are great

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_03]: like I said they look like watercolors I'm fairly certain they are watercolors it's either that

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_03]: tells our sketchy sometimes but detailed in others it's just the arts great I love the

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_03]: vignette character the raccoon because there's some great art of vignette it's why

[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_05]: they he's older than all the other yes we see oldest person in the friend group yeah I think

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_05]: what I really enjoy about this comic wife first discovered 10 12 years ago was like oh yeah I'm

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_05]: kind of living this right now I was gonna say yeah yeah yeah it's like oh this is like definitely

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_05]: being kind of a dirt bag kind of aimless really everything's just kind of base around like where we

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_03]: go meet up in drink yes there's several plotlines that revolve around where we're going to

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_03]: meet up in drink and volume two there's where they go to not the hobo graveyard but it is the big pipe

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_03]: they call it it's just it's a drainage ditch yeah I have partied trained days before exactly

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_05]: with yeah about 10 years ago yes they go down three-pain butt town on some of the piping that would

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_03]: be used to build a Walmart yeah they get kicked out of the amusement park for sneaking in booze

[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_03]: the fortune teller tells Clementine to you know straighten your life out and you're going to

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_03]: discuss because this is just fucking depressed she said if I don't change my ways I ended up working

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_03]: at a shitty carnival like it's implied that Clementine and Ben and have sex and then there is

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_03]: a little subcomic which is parodying itself disaffected youth in hell yeah it's more sketchy

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Clementine literally just has memes yeah extreme at my own ass which was very much so it's

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_03]: yep meme at the time specifically about a possum screen and its own ass yeah and then it just

[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_03]: cuts away to a different story about how old Ben it is yeah Ben and I bet the pit at that

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_03]: cranberry show was killer they ask me if he still has a mesh oh sure but he's just so fucking

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_03]: theater you know they're just really dunking on this old guy and he's like in probably reality

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_05]: he's probably like two or three years old and yeah not all that much old but he's implied to be the only

[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_05]: one that has like a job right uh and any kind of like maturity yeah and there's always that guy

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah and that friend group because he and that guy and that friend group but he also goes from telling

[00:33:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Clementine you should go to school but then also hey a Satan compels you to get naked not

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_03]: oh no it's certainly the best guy you know he jumps from you know feels a little weird but at

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_03]: the same time that shit happens so it's it's kind of real in a way much like I quit was very real

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_05]: in a way you could believe that these people were people yeah I mean this is a very much like mid-aut

[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_05]: like aimless dirt bag kind of perception of things I think it's kind of pretty much everything

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_05]: just written about this comic kind of touches on that like yeah if you were like a piece of shit

[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_05]: who got blackout drunk before he yeah yeah show and like 2007 right and like met someone wearing a

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_05]: two-two that's all you really remember like yeah you probably could relate to this comic yeah

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_05]: and you've ever been to a basement show where you may find someone for being straight edge

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_05]: and um they didn't do anything about it mm-hmm look exactly right look there's a reason that

[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_03]: vice picked it up because that was what their readership was like at the time yeah um but yeah

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_03]: characters don't really grow or learn anything other than you know not to get lights or you know

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_03]: there was a hobo who died here you know like this kind of stuff because yeah I mean there

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_03]: were some fantastic elements there's that bit about summoning an incubus there's the uh

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Clementine later commuens with the dead guy but for the most part it's very grounded which I always

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_05]: appreciate unfortunately unless you want to wait through the tumbler which is kind of it's tough

[00:34:44] [SPEAKER_05]: going through tumbler these days mm-hmm a lot of the vice stuff has been kind of lost to time and outside

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_05]: of what's on the tumbler and on in the archive backup there's not a lot and there's some

[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_05]: stuff that I vaguely remember I can't I don't even remember enough to even try an outline

[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_05]: but there's some stuff that I remember reading that I wasn't able to find there's something

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_05]: here that I found I really really resonate with me and I think I found a link on the tumbler

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_05]: but the link on vices now dead of course yeah because every because vices shit the fucking bed

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_03]: well there's a passage in that outline article that reminds me of my favorite bit from this

[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_03]: in one strip where she is heckled by a strange dog man about her shopping bags she responds

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_03]: friendly enough at night I like to put these bags over my head and think about death but it never

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_03]: comes Jesus the pomeranian says throne you don't have to be such a crazy bitch about it

[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like that resonated enough with people that it wound up not necessarily that exact scene

[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_03]: but I feel like there's something similar in a bojack horseman episode about like someone saying

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_03]: they they contemplate suicide someone should be like Jesus Christ what is wrong with you yeah

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_03]: other assing of the soup was good exactly yeah but I think a anthropomorphic animals are

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_03]: around for this kind of exploration of human sadness and weirdness but also just the artist

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_05]: a fucking good like I can't really it's expressive these interesting little slice of life stories

[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_05]: and I feel like it just kind of expresses a time and place that maybe can't be found anymore

[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_03]: well I mean people are trying to do like an indiesley's revival but that's very different than this

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_05]: you know what I mean yeah I mean things is indiesley's I think this is just like being aimless

[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_05]: going the house parties knowing you should figure your shit out but not really knowing what to do

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah and so you're just kind of existing in the moment the only momentum you have

[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_03]: in your life is your friend group I think there's a great moment that Michaela also writes about here

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_03]: they're hanging out near their old high school and someone says to Clementine Kevin it was the

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_03]: fuck he's supposed to be a loser forever I can't do that yeah yeah that's really it will

[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_03]: that's one of the most true things in the whole and the whole that I've read it's just it

[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_03]: feels like damn yeah that guy was supposed to suck forever he wasn't supposed to like get his

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_03]: shit together I'm supposed to be the one that is their shit together oh god damn it feels very

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_03]: real it feels like I've said that allow at least once how dare you do things that I'm not doing

[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm better yeah this whole act if I didn't have as my colleague Tolico Ben Davy seal

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_03]: kind of thing yeah it's exactly there was that whole bit about like a Bennett name a bunch

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_03]: of punk bands yeah throw a bunch of punk man names and he throws out like you know incredible

[00:37:55] [SPEAKER_05]: fuck Tolico Ben there you go the stiff shits yeah anal safalic Jesus yeah that's I don't like that one

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_05]: it's not good waste war treatment plant operators otherwise known as WTPO which sounds like you know

[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_03]: this will waste that's a riff on that yeah yeah I mean it's a povace boy I like them no

[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_05]: great I'm always jealous the I knew someone that got to see them with asshole parade oh hell yeah

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_05]: oh let's go let's go let's fucking go angry white dudes in the tithes fucking jeans you've ever seen

[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_05]: trying to beat the show each other yeah love you'd love to see it I knew white dudes

[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_05]: little guys you could put in your pocket yes you put a fucking pack of new ports in the middle of

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_05]: a circle and you just throw them out like poke him on and they scuffle for it scagged addict that choose

[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_05]: you yeah bird band old scratch bomb proof and juice box then so when I was reading this I did

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_03]: wonder like what what's Lord Maggers whole deal and thankfully included in volume one of

[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_03]: terrible terrible terrible there was an interview written by Natalie for silver sprocket and the

[00:39:08] [SPEAKER_03]: question was asked would it be fair to say that Clementine's supposed to be a version of you

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_03]: what made you decide to make her a possum haha yeah in a way she's a lot like I was when I was around

[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_03]: 18 to 21 I'm not so much in that place anymore so it's weird to write her kind of cathartic just

[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_03]: pouring out a lot of my own flaws she's also her own person in there quite a few differences

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_03]: she spends a lot more time on the manic side of things I think since these were the first

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_03]: comics I'd ever really tried to stick with I went with the whole right which you know thing

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_03]: pretty hard I wasn't really expecting anyone to notice them a lot of the characters are lifted

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_03]: from friends and acquaintances or combinations of people I've known as I've written more they don't

[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_03]: feel like those people so much anymore I just straight up named Kyle after a friend of mine thankfully

[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_03]: he's the sort of guy who finds that funny as for Clementine being a possum maybe I am a weird

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_03]: southerner it's kind of a long story but basically a possum moved into my house without my permission

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_03]: she had a bunch of babies and they were really adorable and when coming to my room and I'd give

[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_03]: them strawberries or whatever they also brought fleas with them it was both a magical and terrible

[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_03]: time I've been sort of crazy about possums ever since so I always like that little tidbit about

[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Clementine being a possum it also gives that story line where she gets licensed and you know bath

[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_05]: it gives it gives it a whole other level to it yeah I'm fascinated with these comic

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_03]: creators that became tumbler famous or they kind of have a niche following on social media where

[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_03]: really didn't know what we were doing the fandoms were still kind of a nascent thing like home

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_05]: stuck has its whole entire thing I mean Jesus yeah you can you can tackle that one I will just nod

[00:40:58] [SPEAKER_03]: home suckers is a 6,000 page insane story about multi versus demons and it's well have to go into

[00:41:05] [SPEAKER_03]: it on a whole other episode because I feel like that fucking an amy conventions there's that too yeah

[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_03]: bathing yourself in the in the sharpest so that you get the gray skin yeah it's just weird people

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_03]: weird people got attached to it and I feel like the weirdest people I knew were terrible terrible

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_03]: terrible fans and they all had they read through Clementine with their own art style as their

[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_05]: profile pictures and shit like that like that I don't even know it lords up to I didn't get that far

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_05]: because I don't think she's posted on her twitter page for a couple years yeah this article from

[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_03]: the outline was from 2019 it it says yeah the the smongers last social media activity was 2017

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_03]: and she's quoted by this piece is authoricing I don't think I can say that I'm done but I really

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_03]: didn't need a break for a while the break just went on a little too long I'd like to give it some

[00:41:59] [SPEAKER_03]: proper ending at the very least internet commentary and sharing was a blessing early on but sitting

[00:42:05] [SPEAKER_03]: down and focusing on really writing something is hard with that kind of pressure I can see why a lot

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_03]: of web comics end up just being dropped and that's fair I mean there's a lot of people that are still

[00:42:18] [SPEAKER_03]: going for some reason or other I mean fucking penny arcade still around pvp still around there's a

[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_05]: few I mean paying arcades is never gonna go away no because they make too much money yeah but there's

[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean eight would how many times is Chris on sad she'll that yeah but now that he's back with the

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_03]: patreon he's been consistent is it good I'm fantastic there's a whole storyline that just wrapped up

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_03]: nice Pete has an idea for a mechanical object that would attach to a trailer to show if you're

[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_03]: fucking racers no and so nice Pete decides he's gonna get revenge by forming a metal band with

[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_03]: a keyboard and and blightle and Todd of course Todd they're gonna force Ray somehow to you know give

[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_03]: him money and so through a convoluted series of events Ray winds up meeting his ancestor hey

[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Cornelian schmuckles yeah but I believe died in a previous the storyline it's Cornelian is like

[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_05]: the civil war soldier character I see posted on the Facebook groups or once a while I'll have

[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_03]: look up the specifics he meets an ancestor in the ancestors like oh what's all this new

[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_03]: fangle technology but this is like they're trapped in the quantum realm because Pete played a

[00:43:35] [SPEAKER_03]: base note that knocked him out and then Roe's beef shows up and plays the opposite base note which

[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_03]: brings him back but also brings back the ancestor with him and the ancestor then invests in the

[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_03]: advice that nice Pete had made so everyone just kind of makes up it's insane but he's still going on

[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_03]: incredibly weird tangents. Acquita still going very very strong. I got to get on that

[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_03]: fuck you fry days are back like there's there's a bunch of stuff I need to get a joy.

[00:44:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Todd the the miracle

[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_05]: it's been balls about the urban stream just so me some me great I think what kind of ties

[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_05]: all these things together why we can look at this and think of a pape wood. Yeah is because

[00:44:17] [SPEAKER_05]: web comics at this particular time were such a great way to express ideas and humorous concepts

[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_05]: without pressure of like writing prose. Yeah although in on-stead's case he writes some excellent

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_05]: prose so sure yeah the the the blog spots hmm there's some really some really great ones there

[00:44:39] [SPEAKER_03]: yeah race places still around on the on the patreon so that's awesome. The the race place about

[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_05]: going to a wine tasting contest and having a wine that was so good that may him open and closes mouth

[00:44:50] [SPEAKER_05]: three times it is yeah it's a blind writing yeah for us but but I think you're right the comics

[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_03]: take a lot of that pressure off because you can move on you don't have it's not a single long for

[00:45:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I think if we ask Casey Casey green that I'm sure he would probably agree on some level.

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah because I think the longest sustained narrative that he's done recently was when he was adapting

[00:45:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Pinocchio. Other than that you know I mean he's done before that was the tall bunny and the the

[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_03]: fat bunny and got show. Well he's doing something similar in funny online animals was a kind of an

[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_03]: offshoot of gun show but no I mean he'll just like take a break and just do something completely different you

[00:45:34] [SPEAKER_03]: know graveyard quest just show up and he'll just like yeah he's doing an anime parody right now

[00:45:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Kevin is a prison. I think if Laura must get back in the biz if she started a patreon like Casey or like

[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Chris on the throne for a minute. Well if she started doing more art and just kind of kept it there like

[00:45:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Casey and like and like Chris on set are doing we might see more Clementine comics I think hopefully

[00:46:02] [SPEAKER_03]: hopefully there's gonna be something more because I've always thought the art was just so good

[00:46:09] [SPEAKER_03]: and the characters felt very real and I think that's all you really need sometimes. I agree. I mean

[00:46:15] [SPEAKER_03]: especially when you're doing vignettes and I think that's the other equid point of comparison is that

[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_03]: there's just sometimes there's a story and sometimes there's not sometimes it's just a thing happens

[00:46:24] [SPEAKER_03]: that's also maybe think of boys club in that fury was that it here's the thing that happened

[00:46:30] [SPEAKER_03]: now granted it doesn't get as gross as like smoking a dog turret but it's still you know

[00:46:36] [SPEAKER_03]: there's still there's still wacky hijinks they're just more grounded than again there's also the

[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_03]: incubus so you know it's kind of a mixed bag if you go out and search for that that's archive.org

[00:46:45] [SPEAKER_03]: and search for Clementine comics with an ex you'll find at least four different collections of stuff

[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_03]: and they're all fascinating and read through I did a read through today so it's kind of fresh in my mind

[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_03]: and boy I just I enjoyed that so much I always have a good time talking about comics on these shows but

[00:47:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I love I love those episodes of comics yeah I was thinking about this the other day I'm like you know what

[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't have anything else that's really jumping up you know like oh this would be really good like oh this

[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_05]: there's some here like okay there's still is something there's some special about this

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_05]: and I feel like this is from the last gas or the air that being kind of wild and fun

[00:47:29] [SPEAKER_05]: in this sort of way where someone just like appears on they usually just go on I'm like oh wow here's

[00:47:35] [SPEAKER_05]: a new artist I've never heard of and everything it do is great and they seem like an interesting person right

[00:47:39] [SPEAKER_05]: you know this is before algorithms fucking but fucked us all into oblivion and right are all we can do

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_05]: stare at phone and eat hot chip and lie yeah hot chip and lie yeah it just it's just

[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_03]: it harkens back to a time where there was possibility I think sure and I think Ed

[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_05]: for Ed's kind of touched on this a little bit with his podcast bear off line but uh just this

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_05]: like with the thing with AI and this this feels like not the end of the air in that but this is

[00:48:15] [SPEAKER_05]: like the end of tech being relevant in our lives yeah this iteration this era yeah because tech

[00:48:24] [SPEAKER_03]: was a means to an end you had to use tumblr to get your art that you did by hand out to the world

[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_03]: and now it's the other way around you've got to use the platform to create the art that you're

[00:48:36] [SPEAKER_05]: it's backwards yeah you got it all back like I've I've lamented when we had kc

[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah on which is like it sucks that you have to spend so much time doing shit that isn't the

[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_05]: creative process oh yeah like a huge part of it yeah and you know even 10

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_05]: 20 years ago like you still had to learn how to market yourself and then and get yourself out there

[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_05]: but it did you know it felt like it were so as a 50 50 thing instead of 20% of your time is actually

[00:49:05] [SPEAKER_05]: loud and and that's expressive and creative right and then the other half of it is like

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_05]: watching YouTube videos on how like over the they changed the Instagram uh algorithm so if you

[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_05]: really want your your stuff to start getting up and rank you got to find stuff to similar to what

[00:49:19] [SPEAKER_05]: you're creating and you have to follow that individual you have to like for their posts and you also

[00:49:25] [SPEAKER_05]: have to uh favorite them or bookmark them so that your for you is now all sun trending or your for

[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_05]: all stuff that's in your niche and like dude's fucking insane yeah I'm guessing you've

[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I've done this because like when I was unemployed I'm like well I sure have a lot of

[00:49:42] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking say about being a failure of a photographer I'm sure that's worth something you know thinking

[00:49:48] [SPEAKER_05]: about like what would take to just like map out a video and then record it and and and together like

[00:49:54] [SPEAKER_05]: that's whatever I've done that before I could find the way to make that like work time and effort

[00:50:01] [SPEAKER_05]: that's to me that's worthwhile but then like all so okay how am I the monkey that doesn't put his

[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_05]: dick in the outlet and puts his dick in the female monkey vagina instead you know it's just like

[00:50:11] [SPEAKER_05]: how about not okay now that I've climbed the mountain mm-hmm now we're a bathroom well there's that you know

[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_05]: it's just everything you have to put your effort is beside the point of the thing you want to do

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that kills a lot of creativity on the air in the head or just in general right now is that

[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I was gonna say it's not just the internet I mean Jesus Christ it people who write music are now

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_03]: having to go okay now I've written this song I think it's a banger instead of okay we're going to

[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_03]: cut it we're going to send it to radio radio is going to lead the way now they've got to be like okay

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_03]: well we got to go send it out to get mastered put it on Spotify and maybe a different remix version

[00:50:51] [SPEAKER_05]: for TikTok so there's it can we make it a trending sound oh yeah um can we remember references before

[00:50:59] [SPEAKER_05]: but there was a King Kong barbecue show song that was was popular for a while yeah love you so

[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_03]: because it was a default it was the default sound that's crazy because this was when I first joined

[00:51:09] [SPEAKER_03]: TikTok I would notice this anytime I would go to like make a video or something the first sound

[00:51:13] [SPEAKER_03]: that I always come up with big King Kong and that was the default sound what people would do is they

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_03]: would have that as the default sound and then they would just turn the volume down on the King Kong

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_03]: song you just do their video as normal but it would still say King Kong in the shines love you

[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_05]: so in the corner very odd but there was a Canadian publication that interviewed them and I'm

[00:51:34] [SPEAKER_05]: gonna greatly paraphrase here but King Kong and Mark Sultan aka BBQ we're basically just like they

[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking annihilate this journalist because they're like this has nothing like we don't give a

[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_05]: shit about TikTok that has nothing to do with anything we care about and we think this shit is

[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking lame and solace basically it's like the playboy interview where the air with Lou Reed

[00:51:57] [SPEAKER_05]: in the guy's asking about like if he owns like an stock in the series he's like I'm trying to

[00:52:02] [SPEAKER_05]: talk to you about like life in like art and love man and you're asking me if I own stock in the

[00:52:07] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking Rio what I ever do deserve this yeah well first of all you're Lou Reed there's that yeah

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_05]: the artist being tortured by capitalism the system that commerce commerce a system that we are

[00:52:23] [SPEAKER_05]: force of participate in right for survival when it went really fucking a binge you over

[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_05]: really really binge you over yeah just so you know if you do check out terrible terrible terrible and

[00:52:36] [SPEAKER_05]: the brilliant liking really liking it there is a silver sprocket east door where you can buy a couple

[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_05]: pins and like stickers and a reprint of sleepwalking yes that was I'm that's on my list I'm

[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_05]: gonna pick that up because sleepwalk it was great I'm going to I'm gonna have to put in the order

[00:52:54] [SPEAKER_05]: get a couple pins and stuff and I can't really stress just how much for a short period time like

[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I was really identifying with this comic and I think that's why it took off on tumblr yeah

[00:53:06] [SPEAKER_05]: because people with other people that were in their late teens the mid-20s like fucking

[00:53:12] [SPEAKER_05]: didn't know what to do just like yeah they're just like hanging out and like they work

[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_05]: like a kind of shitty job and maybe they're going to college maybe not like you know they're trying

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_05]: to figure their shit out the most the only but four momentum in their life is their friend group

[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah and hanging out and doing dumb shit and drinking I mean I even feel like there's a little

[00:53:32] [SPEAKER_03]: of that spiritual vibe of Clementine comics in the video game night in the woods yeah absolutely

[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_05]: there's there's definitely a through line yeah well I mean you got the you know the punk band

[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_03]: there's the older guy like there's there's a lot of these kind of vibes based things that were

[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_03]: very much that parallel experience that that Lauren and and then Scott the creator of nine

[00:53:57] [SPEAKER_03]: woods had that kind of or of a piece you know like there's there's time period definitely

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_05]: complement each other yeah damn yeah I didn't really thought about that because those it just hit

[00:54:08] [SPEAKER_03]: me because I remember that that bit in night in the woods where the wolf character whose name I

[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_03]: always forget and there you're talking about it's someone like throwing knives and like and there's

[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_05]: a similar having like a knife fighters yeah it's a little mini game where you have a knife fight

[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_03]: that's right and yeah but it's just like okay yeah that that reminded me a lot of that or

[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_03]: the because he also works at the 24 hour like a 7-11 time place called the snack falcon

[00:54:35] [SPEAKER_03]: and like that's the kind of shitty job that Clementine quits in the early also night of woods there's

[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_05]: the doughnut wolf which is the diner yes guide nine of woods is so good I'm I'm really bummed

[00:54:49] [SPEAKER_05]: that the composer slash main programmer uh it's originally the be a creep yeah and unfortunately

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_05]: took his own life yeah which apparently killed the potential sequel that Scott and his wife were working

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_05]: on yeah and not much else I can say yeah damn shame it's just a really sad thing all around

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_03]: and so many different directions because because I recommend that game to people all the time I

[00:55:16] [SPEAKER_03]: recommend that because the music is right and there's this specific north by setting this perfect

[00:55:22] [SPEAKER_05]: and there's this kind of it's really more like Pennsylvania Ruspel but yeah yeah because yeah

[00:55:27] [SPEAKER_05]: because that's where Scott grew up and still lives basically in the the northeast Ruspel but there

[00:55:34] [SPEAKER_05]: is still kind of some of the motif some of the vibe is a little Pacific Northwest and kind of spooky

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_05]: woods that's all look at it yeah I'm not it's you're it's it's I get I get how you could jump there

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_05]: in between peaks Alan Wake you know spooky woods yeah it's you're not 100% wrong there's definitely

[00:55:54] [SPEAKER_05]: a line between Clementine and um maybe I had a big deep feeling I'm playing for what I am playing a

[00:56:02] [SPEAKER_05]: couple years I because I remember seeing you as show yeah and telling you that I had bought night

[00:56:08] [SPEAKER_05]: the woods on sale on steam but I also had a DSX like human revolution and I the side I was

[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_05]: going to play the DSX first yeah and first of all the DSX game is not bad it's fine I think it's

[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_05]: really fucking interesting and I'm glad builds on some of the stuff that the previous DSX game does

[00:56:30] [SPEAKER_05]: but I didn't have playing like nine the woods until like two or three years later after that

[00:56:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I actually started playing it the week before the composer took his own life oh wow before the accusations

[00:56:42] [SPEAKER_05]: from Zoe Quinn came out and I was like oh cool a time I decided that now I have even more like

[00:56:48] [SPEAKER_05]: weird on we yeah in mixed feelings and just playing the game itself yeah I mean I have weird feelings

[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_03]: recommending to the the game to anyone but it's just a search bummer but like it's a true one yeah

[00:57:00] [SPEAKER_03]: but it's also a jam of game so I mean if you if you the listener enjoy the comic go to archive dot

[00:57:07] [SPEAKER_03]: org you check it out and you go yeah this is the kind of vibe I want to do in a video game

[00:57:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I can recommend night in the woods because despite all that other stuff the vibes are right

[00:57:19] [SPEAKER_03]: and it's fun and funny but it's also tragic and serious and it has that nice balance of tones

[00:57:25] [SPEAKER_03]: and it's just it's a nice little piece of art and I really hope that's got to make something else

[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_03]: because I really like his game all right you're ready to get really grossed out in a way that I wasn't expecting

[00:57:39] [SPEAKER_05]: sure it's shocked actually yes no what yeah let's do it

[00:57:43] [SPEAKER_01]: and now the moment you all been waiting for shocked I'm shocked I'm shocked I'm

[00:57:54] [SPEAKER_03]: saying man doing to his hole hey chat does this look infected no this is something else entirely

[00:58:00] [SPEAKER_03]: it is not a man doing something to his hole it's a man making a hole in another man it's called

[00:58:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Petron help a drone now this requires a little bit of setup so I'm gonna give you the setup here

[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_03]: courtesy of the Screamer Wiki help a drone is also known as one man five bullets it depicts a man

[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_03]: being shot five times in the face here it is and it's entirety for six seconds wow um

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't usually like to violent ones thanks dude the people back to the pp poofoo yeah exactly

[00:58:35] [SPEAKER_03]: the story behind it is also distressing it's essentially just this guy was you know

[00:58:43] [SPEAKER_03]: it was a motorcycle taxi driver and he rented a motorcycle he was arguing with his guy

[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_03]: it was an extortionist by the name of Frank Heroes yeah this is he under here under content in the video

[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Leonardo that's the victim is shown sitting on a sidewalk near his motorcycle taxi with a

[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_03]: distress expression saying to DA of Petron you tell the boss to the extortionist is recording the video

[00:59:06] [SPEAKER_03]: the extortionist then pulls out a clock saying out by thrown through the boss and proceeds to shoot him in the

[00:59:12] [SPEAKER_03]: last side of his face five times his eyeball pops out of his socket he's a gurgling blood it's horrific

[00:59:18] [SPEAKER_03]: it's six seconds long but it's haunting the reason I saw this is that someone synced up

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_03]: the bullet hits to the bit and not like us where Kendrick Umar goes what what what what what

[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_03]: he does it five times and I was like fuck okay um great thank you for showing me this and so I

[00:59:38] [SPEAKER_03]: had to find the source of the video but apparently this has been around while this video was uploaded

[00:59:42] [SPEAKER_03]: right around twenty twenty two but two years ago uh six seconds long but it is fucking horrifying

[00:59:49] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah wow that guy was just like a slightly younger than me according to this here it says

[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_03]: his free time uh he enjoyed reading Harry Potter playing Domino's and following FC Barcelona

[01:00:01] [SPEAKER_03]: man united and the New York Yankees so this is basically like cartel violence so the caught the guy

[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_03]: about a month later cops encountered him he jumped from the fourth floor to the second floor

[01:00:16] [SPEAKER_03]: dropping his clock and fracturing his ankles in the process he was sentenced to 17 years and four months

[01:00:23] [SPEAKER_03]: in prison February of last year mm mm mm the video quickly spread through the Arabic speaking

[01:00:30] [SPEAKER_03]: community who titled it unomidious or murder of a Spanish man in November 2022 a Gmail account

[01:00:38] [SPEAKER_03]: using the victims full name as its name sent the video via email to several people if someone

[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_03]: replied to the email that would receive a screenshot from the video automatically from a bot

[01:00:51] [SPEAKER_03]: this is why i don't like the violent ones because i sit in stun silence half a time

[01:00:56] [SPEAKER_03]: the one with a guy with his face put in half as at least like okay that's weird

[01:01:00] [SPEAKER_05]: you know like the gorgon from pleasure things now i mean that one still

[01:01:04] [SPEAKER_05]: fucks me up yeah Jesus I know fucking Christ see this is why i wanted to be pp people forever

[01:01:11] [SPEAKER_05]: i don't i mean there's there's things that just be gross that don't involve murder yeah

[01:01:18] [SPEAKER_03]: there's no segue i just think of it's time for the breath man i need a one

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: oh it's time for your mom's favorite part of the show is time for the breath man

[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_03]: it's a brand you and i just like last week we saw something in common this week

[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_03]: separately we went to the theater to see Tim Burton's new movie that's right

[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_03]: bit of just be able to just what did you think of the pictures i think it has the same problem

[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_05]: the love i what you call legacy sync sequel yes what you call the legacy sync I think the

[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_05]: main problem with those sort of movies is that they spend so much time doing member berries

[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah that they barely have any time to do anything new yes and i think this movie is not the

[01:02:08] [SPEAKER_03]: fender there's a moment where it's like okay we're done with that now we're just moving forward

[01:02:13] [SPEAKER_03]: with our story but it takes a good joke to the movie to get there for almost two hour film it

[01:02:18] [SPEAKER_05]: doesn't feel too hours no that is it does move at a good clip but i feel like they had spent

[01:02:27] [SPEAKER_05]: the bear part of three years trying to figure out what a beel juice sequel would look like

[01:02:33] [SPEAKER_05]: and this feels like probably three or four different scripts kind of blended together

[01:02:38] [SPEAKER_03]: yeah because i remember the original idea was going to be beetle juice goes Hawaiian

[01:02:42] [SPEAKER_05]: which is insane yes i've read synopsis of what that's supposed to be it sounds absolutely

[01:02:49] [SPEAKER_05]: utterly fucking insane it probably would have been either a great movie or absolutely terrible

[01:02:54] [SPEAKER_03]: 50 50 yeah i don't really know no telling kind of wish they'd done that and said this so a big part

[01:02:59] [SPEAKER_03]: of the movie is working around the fact that Jeffrey Jones is a convicted pedophile we want to include

[01:03:07] [SPEAKER_03]: the Charles Deet's character that he played but we don't want to have him in the movie they create an

[01:03:14] [SPEAKER_03]: entire claymation scene where he gets eaten by a shark and then this body with just the shark

[01:03:22] [SPEAKER_03]: giant shark bite and it's spurting blood everywhere is wandering around half the movie you didn't

[01:03:27] [SPEAKER_03]: need any of it it's fine you don't need to mention about all it's five i felt like beetle

[01:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: juice beetle juice no i've said it six times he has still has not shown up hey mama show me the

[01:03:39] [SPEAKER_05]: video that guy getting marked again oh my boy go hey choose what's up yeah is is OJ down there

[01:03:46] [SPEAKER_03]: with you anyway um he's supposed to say he didn't do it because beetle juice does say in the film

[01:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: the juice is loose which is loose I know Michael Keaton knew what he was doing with his

[01:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: other like there's no way he didn't know yeah absolutely just wonderful as always with legacy

[01:04:06] [SPEAKER_03]: sequels i got problems main problem number one you have Danny Devito in your movie and you

[01:04:11] [SPEAKER_03]: waste him in a 30 second cameo number two you have Monica Balucci in your movie and you waste

[01:04:18] [SPEAKER_05]: your on a sub plot that goes nowhere yeah so you take one of the most beautiful women in the world

[01:04:23] [SPEAKER_05]: why why did you seek out this particular because that's the reason why you hire her like i need

[01:04:28] [SPEAKER_03]: the most beautiful woman in the world because he's dating Tim Burton's dating Monica Balucci

[01:04:32] [SPEAKER_03]: is he really yeah he he he there's no longer married about twenty seventeen are there about

[01:04:38] [SPEAKER_05]: he's not married to his to what's her face ain't no yeah hell in the bottom farter yeah

[01:04:45] [SPEAKER_03]: no they're they're no longer married and so he's dating Monica Balucci and so that was i think it was his way of

[01:04:51] [SPEAKER_03]: flexing like hey uh check out who I'm dating cool dude we did the heart

[01:04:56] [SPEAKER_03]: really the all our movie about bro the character that she plays is beetle juices x now

[01:05:04] [SPEAKER_03]: okay sure there's a throwaway line in the first movie where he has the disembodied finger he pulls

[01:05:10] [SPEAKER_03]: the ring of it she met nothing to me right okay you're you're calling back to that gag fine

[01:05:17] [SPEAKER_03]: i did not need an entire scene of her stapling herself back together to do the gag for that

[01:05:23] [SPEAKER_03]: or an entire sub plot where she's like i'm gonna get you beetle juice rar we are and also like

[01:05:28] [SPEAKER_05]: how did she even end up you know there's there's there's there's some plot holes there

[01:05:32] [SPEAKER_03]: i'm not even worried about that it's a Tim Burton movie and he's trying to do the 90s Tim Burton

[01:05:37] [SPEAKER_03]: movies like plot holes but whatever what you're presenting needs to be of enough substance and

[01:05:43] [SPEAKER_05]: enough interest at no one thinks about that plot hole because whatever happening is so interesting

[01:05:48] [SPEAKER_05]: or so captivating or whatever yeah i have this is not bad yeah and i mean there's some really

[01:05:54] [SPEAKER_05]: interesting visual stuff there's a lot of good practical effect there's some great

[01:05:57] [SPEAKER_03]: claimation like i mentioned hega is is great oh yeah um even Catherine or hero we might

[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_05]: have her a steal is the fucking movie oh yeah she's oddly enough the best part okay so i

[01:06:08] [SPEAKER_03]: watched the movies back to back Friday nights are moving out in here at the house and then Saturday

[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_03]: we took my wife out it was her birthday she wanted to go to drive into sea beautiful jesus i said okay

[01:06:16] [SPEAKER_03]: so we watch the first movie and i'm like okay yeah yeah okay and then the next night we

[01:06:21] [SPEAKER_03]: watched the second one and so watching them back to back Catherine or hero goes from the most annoying

[01:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: part of the original film to stealing the fucking show it's amazing there's so many great laughs

[01:06:33] [SPEAKER_05]: livery's i think everyone brought their a game as much as they go absolutely especially when on the

[01:06:38] [SPEAKER_05]: writer and um whoop top marks the guy who plays the father who also plays Carl Tanner and

[01:06:45] [SPEAKER_05]: game of thrones oh god i knew i recognize the face burn gourmet yes okay he's out in the last

[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_05]: stuff but he's he's always good uh he's almost unregnizable in the way I can this movie

[01:07:01] [SPEAKER_05]: because of his delivery he's also getting a little older but you know he's been in uh

[01:07:09] [SPEAKER_05]: civic rim i believe one and two yes he was in both yeah he's in a lot of these little things but just

[01:07:15] [SPEAKER_03]: like oh so nice to see him oh yeah i'd love to see him it's him and David Deschal main i'd love to see

[01:07:20] [SPEAKER_03]: those two guys again i love a willem defo appearance uh it has nothing to do with the plot of the

[01:07:26] [SPEAKER_05]: it's barely in there but he's there and he's having a good ass time great he's so fun and the the

[01:07:32] [SPEAKER_05]: ghoul squad or whatever the they look like california highway ships yeah yeah they're like ships

[01:07:40] [SPEAKER_05]: you know they sure do i didn't even think about that yeah right there's there's good gags

[01:07:45] [SPEAKER_05]: and there's good ideas but nothing's really coherent nothing sticks i think i met him mentioned this

[01:07:50] [SPEAKER_03]: when i was watching the movie with but uh the kids i said yeah the maitlands you know i like

[01:07:56] [SPEAKER_03]: ball winging the Davis the maitlands are missing not necessarily though they needed to be in it

[01:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: but that type of character because if you remember the original movie the maitlands grounded it

[01:08:07] [SPEAKER_03]: everything was based in their perspective it was their desires to get the dates is out of their house

[01:08:14] [SPEAKER_03]: that move the plot along without that kind of character to move the plot along it just kind

[01:08:21] [SPEAKER_05]: of goes wherever and i think that's a problem yeah there's there's really no anchor i mean if

[01:08:25] [SPEAKER_03]: that's the most is asterate asterate story would have been a great film on its own it would have been

[01:08:32] [SPEAKER_03]: the way bear movie i think you could structure it in such a way where okay trials deets dies we go

[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_03]: we go home to whatever the fuck the name of the small town in Connecticut is winter river thank you

[01:08:44] [SPEAKER_03]: we go home to winter river Connecticut home big quotes because that's where i guess litty

[01:08:50] [SPEAKER_03]: grew up and went to high school everything goes back to high school and uh and then it spirals out

[01:08:58] [SPEAKER_03]: from there okay you know she gets she meets the boy and they and they fall on and all that stuff

[01:09:03] [SPEAKER_03]: spoilers avoiding that could have stood alone i don't need to know beetle juices back story i

[01:09:09] [SPEAKER_03]: don't need to know about his ex wife i don't need to know about this dead cop but this dead actor who thinks he's

[01:09:15] [SPEAKER_05]: a cop right i mean beetle juice explained his origin story and like the old telenovelo funny

[01:09:23] [SPEAKER_03]: fucking funny that that's great that killed me it took me out because it was like an Italian horror movie

[01:09:32] [SPEAKER_03]: yeah so okay fine give me that moment but i don't need the whole thing around it because

[01:09:40] [SPEAKER_03]: it culminates very much like the original dead in an an an attempted wedding beetle juices trying

[01:09:45] [SPEAKER_03]: to marry Lydia again and the original it was she made a deal that was the deal the one thing

[01:09:51] [SPEAKER_03]: that bothered me most was the inclusion of the hairy bellafonte song you know the one as funeral music

[01:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: for Charles deez now having watched the original movie the night before that moment where they're at

[01:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: the kitchen table and they get possessed to do the little dance to her go to fun day that was

[01:10:12] [SPEAKER_03]: probably not a positive experience for Charles deez or anyone right like they were doing this

[01:10:18] [SPEAKER_03]: against their will i would not think you'd have in your mind a positive connotation to that's long

[01:10:24] [SPEAKER_03]: but yet they insisted that this choir of children sing hairy bellafonte at his funeral why

[01:10:30] [SPEAKER_03]: and the other thing is that the reason he's off on some trip and then gazetin by a shark is bird watching

[01:10:36] [SPEAKER_03]: bird watching was Adam Maylens thing Charles deez just moved into his house and took his shit

[01:10:43] [SPEAKER_03]: and started bird watching as a waiter relax this means nothing to him this is not a thing that he

[01:10:51] [SPEAKER_03]: has it just seems so strange luckily they side step a lot of that for the rest of the movie thank god

[01:10:58] [SPEAKER_03]: they do manage to one up the hairy bellafonte thing by doing an extended sequence

[01:11:04] [SPEAKER_03]: the carther park with someone at the cake out in the rain yeah the fucking dumbest song and

[01:11:11] [SPEAKER_03]: the perfect choice honestly it's modelin it's stupid it's nonsensical much like the movie itself

[01:11:17] [SPEAKER_03]: i think that that macArthur park sequence is the top 10 as far as like Burton doing just

[01:11:24] [SPEAKER_03]: whatever he wants to do and that's i think with the movie shines when Burton just goes

[01:11:29] [SPEAKER_03]: yeah sure why don't we have will and the foe in this make up and just

[01:11:34] [SPEAKER_03]: have him in the background of an entire scene for like ten minutes sure why not let's do it

[01:11:40] [SPEAKER_03]: the whole movie felt like him shrugging and going yeah sure those cast my girlfriend why not

[01:11:44] [SPEAKER_03]: you know there's just so much in it where you're just like okay i guess that's the way it's

[01:11:50] [SPEAKER_03]: gonna be now i can't necessarily recommend it for someone who hasn't seen the original film because

[01:11:54] [SPEAKER_05]: why the fuck would you come see we went mostly because my girlfriend is a really really big fan of

[01:12:03] [SPEAKER_05]: beel juice oh yeah all of our goth girls are sure and so many ways and and i think she liked it

[01:12:10] [SPEAKER_05]: i don't think she liked loved it i hate it i think really what i hate the most about that

[01:12:18] [SPEAKER_05]: experience was the fucking previews i don't know what you you you saw a drive in i saw

[01:12:24] [SPEAKER_03]: we saw a proper theater and i was waiting in line for my popcorn and so i missed every trailer

[01:12:33] [SPEAKER_05]: so two trailers were prequels so things that didn't need prequels one was the

[01:12:38] [SPEAKER_05]: former prequel movie oh it transformed as day one yeah which actually i've i've heard it's

[01:12:44] [SPEAKER_05]: actually good if you saw bumblebee which was itself a prequel and then there was another thing

[01:12:49] [SPEAKER_05]: that was a prequel it didn't need to be a prequel every single movie in the preview was like

[01:12:53] [SPEAKER_05]: did not make me feel better about seeing a sequel to a movie that was released in like what a nine

[01:12:59] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah it's like 36 years ago yeah yeah it did not make me feel better about it was it like oh okay

[01:13:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Hollywood doesn't have any fresh ideas all these look fucking terrible it does not bowed well for sure

[01:13:11] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah also just like to me fucking commercials i've never i i i would do you know what's

[01:13:18] [SPEAKER_05]: with an amcee you want to get like one of the special oh the buckets yeah sure she got the uh the book

[01:13:26] [SPEAKER_05]: oh okay um which seems like a great place of story we if we were this kind

[01:13:33] [SPEAKER_05]: we went to an amcee theater and i have not gone to an amcee theater in many years and uh yeah they

[01:13:41] [SPEAKER_05]: just i had a we had a sit through a like three in a commercial for like Walmart's back the

[01:13:47] [SPEAKER_05]: school oh yeah stuff there was like lots of dancing children and like it was exhausting yeah

[01:13:54] [SPEAKER_05]: i felt beat up by the time the movie started i felt immintility like just i was like i was

[01:14:01] [SPEAKER_03]: really a dryer with a brick well i saw something this week that i'd be meaning to see for a while

[01:14:09] [SPEAKER_03]: it was a movie that came out in 2012 and it was a film called compliance if you heard about those

[01:14:15] [SPEAKER_03]: it liked me alright so compliance is one of those based on a true story kind of movies

[01:14:21] [SPEAKER_03]: it has and doubt who some of you may recognize from the handmade style she's sister Lydia

[01:14:27] [SPEAKER_03]: and it has mostly the rest of the cast is his unknowns or lesser known a character actors i

[01:14:33] [SPEAKER_03]: guess you would say a young woman who works at a fast food place her manager gets a call from

[01:14:40] [SPEAKER_03]: someone claiming to be the police they subject this young woman to a strip search they subject this

[01:14:47] [SPEAKER_03]: young woman to endless indignities only to find out that this was not a real cop this is not a real

[01:14:57] [SPEAKER_03]: it is a distressing movie because if you know the story going in you know where the film is going

[01:15:04] [SPEAKER_03]: and you're just clenching your fists you know seeing how far they'll go in the film with it

[01:15:10] [SPEAKER_03]: if you don't know where the story is going if you're not familiar with the real stories uh

[01:15:15] [SPEAKER_03]: plural that it is based on you're gonna be clenching your fists even harder because like we're what

[01:15:21] [SPEAKER_03]: fuck is happening i then found out the film is excellent by the way it's all it's a self-contained

[01:15:28] [SPEAKER_03]: one location type of shoot there's a handful of actors is maybe five or six people in the film total

[01:15:35] [SPEAKER_03]: it takes place in these minimal locations there's some wonderfully abstract shots of just like

[01:15:43] [SPEAKER_03]: fast food being prepped while this horrifying thing is happening in the back room

[01:15:48] [SPEAKER_03]: i then found out that recently netflix had done a three-part documentary series about the real

[01:15:53] [SPEAKER_03]: case that this film is based on as well yeah i watch that the netflix documentary series

[01:15:59] [SPEAKER_03]: called don't pick up the phone that one names the real people's names and the real rest on

[01:16:06] [SPEAKER_03]: then happened it so in this particular case the the case that compliance the film is based on

[01:16:11] [SPEAKER_03]: happened then in McDonald's ever heard this yeah and apparently there were cases going back

[01:16:17] [SPEAKER_03]: 10 years excellent work by the documentary filmmakers getting the actual CCTV footage from

[01:16:25] [SPEAKER_03]: this young woman's ordeal structuring it there's some great talking heads if you want to really

[01:16:31] [SPEAKER_03]: feel down about humanity those are the two things to watch back the back because that's what i did

[01:16:36] [SPEAKER_05]: it's a crow fucking love it dog yeah give me that fucking slap i'm a piggy for it yep

[01:16:43] [SPEAKER_03]: it's well done but it does feel very similar to a lot of other documentaries i've seen on netflix

[01:16:49] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah there's a it's like a formula the the one about the the cult and the pacific north west

[01:16:56] [SPEAKER_05]: the one about the guy that raps the little girl by saying the space aliens oh Jesus you know

[01:17:04] [SPEAKER_03]: it's what i'm talking about yeah i can't remember the name of it yeah but those are all really

[01:17:07] [SPEAKER_05]: structures making a murder while country i think is the okay one the tiger king there's a few other

[01:17:14] [SPEAKER_05]: ones there's a few but yeah there there's a couple that yeah it could you could just

[01:17:19] [SPEAKER_05]: edit out about 10 minutes of footage and just made it a documentary of limited one they did on

[01:17:26] [SPEAKER_03]: John Wayne gays he's serial killer okay now that one there's a lot to go over there's a lot of material

[01:17:31] [SPEAKER_05]: i ended up tapping out after a couple episodes because even though i know a lot about the

[01:17:37] [SPEAKER_05]: John Wayne gays he case there was a lot of stuff that was new to me that i'd never read before sure or

[01:17:44] [SPEAKER_05]: had never seen or and that was really fascinating but it was told so

[01:17:50] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking dryly yes and as snails pace like you guy have a little bit more of a rhythm to how

[01:17:55] [SPEAKER_05]: you're telling this is i was like fall asleep even though i'm like wow i didn't know that like

[01:18:00] [SPEAKER_05]: he was having police officers over and they could still like let's just smell bro yeah the

[01:18:05] [SPEAKER_03]: John Wayne gays he won is fascinating because yeah i didn't know have that stuff either don't pick up

[01:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: the phone is only three episodes it is worth a watch if you're interested after seeing compliance

[01:18:16] [SPEAKER_03]: to kind of get the real story and you'll find that it's almost one for one for the film

[01:18:24] [SPEAKER_03]: everything she went through is in the movie is in compliance is in the fictionalized version

[01:18:29] [SPEAKER_03]: so they did not flinch at all which is interesting for a based on the true story movie

[01:18:36] [SPEAKER_03]: because half of time those are just like oh we cut out this part where actually this happened like

[01:18:41] [SPEAKER_03]: no no this one in a rare case they actually yep this happened and here here it is

[01:18:49] [SPEAKER_03]: here's someone being taken advantage of by an authority figure the authority figure

[01:18:54] [SPEAKER_03]: doesn't realize that they're being manipulated by someone else right what don't

[01:18:59] [SPEAKER_03]: the phone does which i think is interesting it picks it up and then drops it but it does go well you

[01:19:05] [SPEAKER_03]: know the middle-grim experience and it goes into this like psychological

[01:19:10] [SPEAKER_03]: why would people do this kind of explanation yeah which is something i don't see a lot of

[01:19:15] [SPEAKER_05]: documentaries too yeah it sounds really fascinating i might have to check that out yeah and they're like

[01:19:19] [SPEAKER_03]: as I said they're a companion piece you kind of have to see the dramatization and then kind of get

[01:19:24] [SPEAKER_03]: the nitty-gritty for the other part how about you brining anything else you want to uh yeah

[01:19:31] [SPEAKER_05]: we finished the second season of you i'll touch on that real quick do you expect that to go where

[01:19:35] [SPEAKER_03]: what ah no what the fuck yeah but it's also part of why it tapped out it's also part of why

[01:19:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't want to watch the rest of the show like yeah i think i'm not is excited for season three

[01:19:47] [SPEAKER_05]: this is like oh god no we're doing this again yeah there's that yeah that's yeah um i i thought

[01:19:55] [SPEAKER_05]: i think there's more you know spoilers ahead here i think there would be a more interesting story

[01:20:01] [SPEAKER_05]: about a psychopath who realizes his folly right now has a child and a romantically ship with

[01:20:11] [SPEAKER_05]: one who is the same source psychopath that he is the side he no longer wants to be yeah i think

[01:20:18] [SPEAKER_05]: that's an interesting story yeah because as the the big the big reveal at the end of season two

[01:20:25] [SPEAKER_05]: is that love is basically a mirror of him in some respects it freaks him the fuck out right

[01:20:32] [SPEAKER_05]: it's like but bro yeah bro this is what you've been doing for two seasons yeah i feel like they

[01:20:39] [SPEAKER_03]: didn't really know where to go because i think the first season was the entirety of the book

[01:20:45] [SPEAKER_03]: that they were based on and they're like then season two's based off of book called uh i think

[01:20:52] [SPEAKER_05]: him by these are yes and so after that they're like well now what the last two episodes of season two

[01:20:59] [SPEAKER_05]: were just like wow what okay um definitely enthralling yeah but you understand my decision not

[01:21:06] [SPEAKER_05]: come back to it yeah if uh like if me and d were the stop there for a while i don't think i would be

[01:21:13] [SPEAKER_05]: upset no you know you know like you let me her name for a while yeah that's kind of like what

[01:21:18] [SPEAKER_03]: i had to do with that to dexter season four yeah i feel like that could have been the end of the

[01:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: series right there and i feel like you season two could have been the end of the series for that as well

[01:21:27] [SPEAKER_05]: they could tie it up there yeah i think i don't think a little bit too upset about that but they

[01:21:32] [SPEAKER_05]: said that they had more story to tell and we'll see where it goes she and your take is in that as

[01:21:37] [SPEAKER_05]: well and also does a great test right yes she she plays the precocious little sister gosh i

[01:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: forgot about that but yeah you're right she isn't that yeah yeah she's great i mean i haven't seen

[01:21:50] [SPEAKER_03]: anything that she's been in that i haven't enjoyed so yeah because like x and that and you know when

[01:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: even Wednesday as flawed as it is she's great in it when's it's got its moments i love Luis

[01:22:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Guzman i was gonna say the most Luis guzman is the most the only place you could you could get to play

[01:22:11] [SPEAKER_03]: oh yeah go man yeah i feel like who else you're gonna get it's him it's gonna be like oh yeah

[01:22:16] [SPEAKER_05]: he's the guy the other thing on the talk about was uh last pray i got to oh yeah photograph

[01:22:22] [SPEAKER_05]: King gizzer and was er wizard what is eight on the fucking fun yeah um that was so fucking good

[01:22:29] [SPEAKER_05]: considering the the lesson ideal situations i've had to deal with photographing live music over last

[01:22:37] [SPEAKER_05]: month or so right it was nice to be like oh yeah this is why i do this oh yeah this is why i

[01:22:41] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking bang my head against the wall trying to get better at this is like oh yeah like a show

[01:22:46] [SPEAKER_05]: a show where like everyone the crowds like super nice uh the band was super good like the

[01:22:54] [SPEAKER_05]: open air geese that record man that record is fucking rough but live they were great i don't know

[01:23:03] [SPEAKER_05]: what the fuck that says about anything the band that like made me like chew on the inside my cheek

[01:23:09] [SPEAKER_05]: like listening to them like oh they're cool like they're great like the they connected with the

[01:23:15] [SPEAKER_05]: crowd they were entertained to watch they were very proficient their instruments like it was really

[01:23:22] [SPEAKER_05]: weird to be like yeah i still think they are already New York band uh princesses pejorative but

[01:23:28] [SPEAKER_05]: like they weren't at least they weren't bad live they didn't commit that sin of also being a bad

[01:23:34] [SPEAKER_05]: band to a band that you felt like you had the suffer through okay get to the the headlier again what

[01:23:40] [SPEAKER_05]: fuck i don't get it i don't understand what what's going on there what change what happened but

[01:23:46] [SPEAKER_03]: i mean maybe they're a band where the live experiences the whole thing and trying to put it

[01:23:51] [SPEAKER_05]: on a record is a hard to capture like the main dudes also not doing like weird

[01:23:55] [SPEAKER_05]: sex pass low register voice singing i don't like that'll do it yeah live like the record

[01:24:03] [SPEAKER_05]: feels like someone's singing way too close to you and can't get to the other like someone's like

[01:24:09] [SPEAKER_05]: someone's really imposing on you yeah and you don't know if you can say anything about it without

[01:24:15] [SPEAKER_05]: getting some real repercussions yeah but uh king gizzard lizard wizard played for almost two and a

[01:24:21] [SPEAKER_05]: half hours danced around basically their whole dysagraphy um played some songs that apparently

[01:24:27] [SPEAKER_05]: never had been played live before sick one of them was Shanghai off of uh kind of like when they're

[01:24:32] [SPEAKER_05]: like more like electronic records uh it's just really interesting to have a band come out and

[01:24:39] [SPEAKER_05]: they start out playing some of their heavier stuff you know like substance war melton fluents

[01:24:44] [SPEAKER_05]: and then they went into like the microtone proguroxia for two or three songs and the

[01:24:52] [SPEAKER_05]: microtone was apparently dash across a couple records so they have three records particularly

[01:24:56] [SPEAKER_05]: that's all microtone music mm-hmm they played some stuff from that part of their catalog

[01:25:01] [SPEAKER_05]: and then they brought out a table of synthesizers and did like Shanghai and like a couple other songs

[01:25:06] [SPEAKER_05]: from that part of their catalog and then went into like stuff off the new record which is like

[01:25:11] [SPEAKER_05]: classic southern rock it all like made sense like it didn't the did none of this like felt jarring

[01:25:19] [SPEAKER_05]: it like the flowed um which I think is a really hard thing to do yeah because I think some

[01:25:25] [SPEAKER_05]: bands have a hard time playing material from different records that are in the same genre like

[01:25:30] [SPEAKER_05]: they're all hardcore records they're all punk records yeah i think some bands have a hard time doing

[01:25:35] [SPEAKER_05]: that the go through complete genres and still have there be like some sort of common vibe

[01:25:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I think really speaks to the musicianship and their approach to music um that really respected

[01:25:51] [SPEAKER_05]: that's impressive i mean i was like fucking blown away and my gun to line at the factory after

[01:25:58] [SPEAKER_05]: again microdentials i was like look at the sky behind me i was like ma'am i'm actually kind of

[01:26:05] [SPEAKER_05]: this really like weird looking is like yeah i go yeah dude same list is like a we are not on

[01:26:12] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking trend half the time like this show could be sold out and he's like well it is sold

[01:26:17] [SPEAKER_05]: on like well that's fucking great or there could be a thousand people like if that

[01:26:22] [SPEAKER_05]: it goes really oh yeah he's like oh i came here from a land like this fucking cool sick

[01:26:28] [SPEAKER_05]: i like met a lot of people like yeah though we were in the actual last night oh so they're getting kind

[01:26:32] [SPEAKER_05]: of dead like they apparently they have had that for a while damn but uh there was a song that

[01:26:38] [SPEAKER_05]: they were going to play i think it was called witchcraft or something like that and they were starting

[01:26:42] [SPEAKER_05]: to play it and like the crowd was like no no no no the main guy after they went up my head was

[01:26:46] [SPEAKER_05]: like wait what's up did we should we play that last night who was the show last night there's like

[01:26:50] [SPEAKER_05]: 20 people raise their hands like oh we play that's it was playing fling thrower and i apparently

[01:26:56] [SPEAKER_05]: they haven't played three because their whole thing is they try to play the exact same set two

[01:27:00] [SPEAKER_05]: okay so they may play fling thrower in St. Louis but they're not going to play the next

[01:27:05] [SPEAKER_05]: night they might play it two nights or three nights from now okay but they try to not repeat songs

[01:27:11] [SPEAKER_05]: that's interesting and they have enough material that they can kind of get away with it

[01:27:15] [SPEAKER_03]: i was gonna say as it got it by voice situation they got so much music yeah they will

[01:27:19] [SPEAKER_05]: they have 26 records i was gonna say yeah they can probably make it work that without too much trouble

[01:27:25] [SPEAKER_05]: my thing was i would like a couple more tracks off the new records like the new records really

[01:27:31] [SPEAKER_05]: fun but the siege is the fact that they were able to kind of just almost effortlessly play two

[01:27:38] [SPEAKER_05]: and a half hours seem like they're having a blast the crowd to be so engaged just like such good

[01:27:45] [SPEAKER_05]: vibes like we got the photograph the whole entire set those me and mug if i were to actually

[01:27:49] [SPEAKER_05]: stayed the whole way through because i'm like I don't know next time we get the photograph this

[01:27:53] [SPEAKER_05]: i'm having the fucking blast i'm like the last probably third of the set i was just in the

[01:27:59] [SPEAKER_05]: faux pit off to the stage just like lean that against the stage not and you know i'm to the left

[01:28:06] [SPEAKER_05]: of like any musicians i'm like in the shadow but i'm just kind of like fucking just chilling like

[01:28:12] [SPEAKER_05]: i'm watching the crowd watching the band like orally not a great place to stand but just like

[01:28:17] [SPEAKER_05]: good just like a good visual thing i was able to snap some really great photos i would gotten

[01:28:21] [SPEAKER_05]: otherwise and i was like wow it's such a little such a great experience and then i immediately

[01:28:27] [SPEAKER_05]: had like go home and like a bad the working man the working man yeah and like two of my co-workers

[01:28:34] [SPEAKER_05]: were at that show one did not did not come in for me he called in sick bigger quotes yeah well

[01:28:42] [SPEAKER_05]: the two co-workers did go together and the one that did show up was was definitely like dude

[01:28:47] [SPEAKER_05]: was like yeah man i was having so much fucking fun we were drinking and i'm like thinking like dude

[01:28:54] [SPEAKER_05]: how can you be so chipper right now like i showed up with like a p-like you know like top of coffee

[01:29:01] [SPEAKER_05]: and like i think even drink i just like i just need i just need nutrition skillet shoot i think

[01:29:07] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah and this dude is just like any other day yeah man let's do do do some cool photos and

[01:29:15] [SPEAKER_05]: man yeah oh you're fucking we drank all this we drank all that and i'm like i'm getting

[01:29:20] [SPEAKER_03]: tired yeah just hearing about this well i would play a show on a Friday night and then have to

[01:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: go work on Saturday morning 7 a.m i know you fucking did it was much younger not that much

[01:29:34] [SPEAKER_03]: younger though i mean like you know the last band's really only been over for like six years or

[01:29:39] [SPEAKER_03]: yeah i think it was just you're running a little bit on adrenaline you're running a little bit on like

[01:29:45] [SPEAKER_03]: i'm here i got to do what i got to do i will cop to the fact that like you know energy drinks

[01:29:51] [SPEAKER_05]: and coffee do work wonders on a hangover yeah i mean i'm drinking i i'm drinking a lot more coffee

[01:29:59] [SPEAKER_05]: and i used to like i have like little stuff that i drink that has caffeine the morning

[01:30:04] [SPEAKER_05]: but man fucking new and comes around and i'm like doing something like you know recording

[01:30:09] [SPEAKER_05]: this podcast evening like i got to have that new cup of coffee yeah which gets some really

[01:30:16] [SPEAKER_05]: terrible looks for people that don't work a uh a five two three three shift in my building i've

[01:30:25] [SPEAKER_05]: i've definitely poured the cup of coffee and like looked at when my shoulder and just seeing someone

[01:30:29] [SPEAKER_05]: just like like man you don't know me man it's hard out here yeah that was super good show i just

[01:30:38] [SPEAKER_05]: had like a little busy and i've been having a really hard time trying to basically tell what

[01:30:45] [SPEAKER_05]: i've told you all and i've told you Jason and find the way to put that in the pros were flows

[01:30:51] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah i'm sorry i might as soon as something short and sweet because i've got other stuff going

[01:30:58] [SPEAKER_05]: i got Frank turt, paronite and i've got gel and MS paint which you're going to be joining me

[01:31:04] [SPEAKER_05]: for a realinti and the next week there is um story the year oh yeah yeah you got a full plate

[01:31:12] [SPEAKER_05]: sort of year and the used next Sunday is tea pain tea pains yes and pit bull shall i die

[01:31:21] [SPEAKER_05]: i want to see mr world by myself mr world yeah like girlfriend wants to see tea pain by

[01:31:27] [SPEAKER_05]: see mr world wide i want hey best of both worlds of yeah really yeah but i'm really really weird

[01:31:34] [SPEAKER_05]: time getting press access through uh live nation for a lot of me people and say those yeah i've heard

[01:31:41] [SPEAKER_05]: that's a thing so we'll see how that goes because i was supposed to be photographing uh caged elephant

[01:31:46] [SPEAKER_05]: and uh young the giant tonight but i got denied after being invited to photograph by the

[01:31:54] [SPEAKER_05]: by young the giant press representation my self and i think a lot of other people

[01:32:01] [SPEAKER_05]: and it's the same people that uh take care of mr wives and when mr wives played

[01:32:07] [SPEAKER_05]: the pageant last summer i photographed that show and there was at least like 10 of us in that

[01:32:12] [SPEAKER_05]: faux pit and it was not fun okay yeah but the thing is you could have 10 photographers in the faux pit

[01:32:19] [SPEAKER_05]: highlight we could see on apathy or a river port and not be no thing

[01:32:23] [SPEAKER_05]: actually 10 photographers in the faux pit there feels like oh wow no one's you know

[01:32:28] [SPEAKER_05]: one's shooting this yeah you got oh we got room you know i'm photographed i'm photographed

[01:32:33] [SPEAKER_05]: fucking shows at river port where it was like well i guess is where i'm standing for these three

[01:32:37] [SPEAKER_05]: songs because i can't fucking move i'm fine with not having have to do that um tired and

[01:32:44] [SPEAKER_05]: it's tired and it's a huge issue easier for you as well because we have to record on Wednesday

[01:32:49] [SPEAKER_03]: that's fine that just that just means it's after dnd group for my kids nerds nerds

[01:32:54] [SPEAKER_03]: that's all I got man right on put ball let's do it for some bullshit indeed

[01:32:58] [SPEAKER_03]: this is part of the show where we tell you where to find us on the old internet

[01:33:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Brian since you are uh the apple of my eye yeah the robin to my Howard the turrets here sandwich

[01:33:09] [SPEAKER_05]: indeed tell us where to find you yeah if you want to submit death threats online or tell me

[01:33:14] [SPEAKER_05]: my hair is bad uh you can find me which is not by the way oh thank you you're so sweet yeah

[01:33:20] [SPEAKER_05]: you can find me on all kinds of places on the internet if you want to find me on twitter

[01:33:25] [SPEAKER_05]: it's i shocky dbore it's your tgydv or d if you want to find me on yield instagram

[01:33:37] [SPEAKER_05]: you get over to a music photographer dot com you want to check out my photography portfolio

[01:33:43] [SPEAKER_05]: it's asshole music photographer dot com if you want to check out the last and only good
